THE ONLY REMEDY – THE GOSPEL

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 3:36 [KJV]

Genesis chapters 3 shows us the fall of man. The consequence of that fall amongst other things was inheriting the destiny of damnation of the devil. If the devil is your lord, then you would be where your lord ends up. Isn’t that logical? Same is true if the Lord Yahushua is your Lord, then wherever He is, is where you will be also (see John 14:3). The fall of man condemned man to the lake of fire at the end of the age and in the interim to hell. Humanity’s condemnation to the lake of fire has nothing to do essentially to the sin of each individual. It has everything to do with the nature that humanity inherited from Adam. If it is possible to find one adult that is sinless, that human will still land in hell because he/she is a human being created with the nature of sin. This is very important for those who are very conscious of their self righteousness. There are those who believe that they are not sinners because they are not committing any known sin to them, but the fact that they were born by the coming together of a man and a woman has implicated them to the same condemnation of sinners. But the reality is that all have sinned (see Romans 3:23).

THE DESTINY OF MAN AFTER THE FALL

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:15 (KJV)

The end point for everyone that has not done something about their soul is the lake of fire. No matter how great on earth the person is. No matter what he/she has achieved on earth. When you close your eyes in death or at the close of the age as recorded in Revelation chapter 20, you shall be cast into the lake of fire. This is not to scare you but to inform you. This is not a religious talk but the reality of the human person. Just as you cannot deny the reality of physical death, even though you do not want people to die, so also you cannot deny the reality of the lake of fire. When man fell, he was condemned with the devil because at the fall, he submitted to the devil and acquired his nature. So, man was united with the devil at the fall and acquired his destiny also. The destiny of the devil is the lake of fire (see Revelation 20:10). When man submitted to the devil, his destiny also became the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15). Until each person personally does something about this destiny, nothing will be done. Until you personally respond to the Word of Yahweh and effect the change of your eternal destiny, nothing will change to that effect.

THE VALUE OF A SOUL

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 [KJV]

The value of a thing is determined amongst others by the price you have to pay for it. So, cost determines value. The value of the soul of man can be seen by the cost our Heavenly Father paid to buy it back from sin and Satan. The soul of man is made to live forever. The Soul of man is what will finally end up in heaven or in hell/lake of fire. The breathe of Yahweh at creation was what gave birth to the soul of man (see Genesis 2:7). So, the soul of man is a spiritual reality. Man is not a body. Flesh and blood cannot not inherit the kingdom of Yahweh (see I Corinthians 15:50). Yahweh created man to be like Him and to be His Authority on Earth. However, man handed this authority to the devil, selling himself as a slave to the devil (see Luke 4:6). Man thwarted the plan of Yahweh in collaboration with Satan. Yahweh in His mercy hashed a redemption plan for man. It is important to understand that nothing in heaven or on earth could do anything about redeeming man because the cost is absolutely not affordable by them.

FAITHLESSNESS IS VERY TRAGEDIC

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved? but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mark 16:16 (KJV)

Faith is not just a treasure but not possessing faith is a tragedy. It is very dangerous to be faithless. It is deadly to exist without faith. It is calamitous to function in life outside of faith in Yahweh. One of the motivations of pursuing faith is not just for the victories that it holds for you but also for the dangers that existing without it holds for you. Firstly, without faith, your eternity is in the lake of fire (see Revelation 21:8), then, you exist without eternal life on earth (see John 3:36), then a life full of natural limitations and frustrations (see Matthew 8:26), then a life barren of the help of Yahweh (see 2 Chronicles 25:8), also a life at the mercy of Satan and his agents (see Luke 13:16), etc. The list is almost inexhaustible but for space, we shall be explaining the above-mentioned.

THE POWER OF YAHWEH’S LOVE (1): DELIVERANCE FROM SIN

“Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”
Romans 6:18 (KJV)

The greatest challenge of man is not Satan. It is sin. Disobedience to the Word of Yahweh is what brings a person under the dominion of Satan and the gates of hell. Lack of money is not your greatest challenge beloved! Satan doesn’t care if you own all the money in all the Central Banks of the World as long as you are living a lifestyle of sin. Firstly, Sin is your shortener. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” You’ll be looking at glory but you can’t access it. Don’t play with sin, it is not your mate. Secondly, Sin withholds the showers from a life. Jeremiah 3:3 alludes to that, “Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore’s forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.” So, sin is behind fruitlessness. Sin is behind wilderness experience most times. If the showers are withheld, everything begins to wither. Thirdly, Sin places one under the dominion of Satan and his cohorts. 2 Timothy 2:26 says, “And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.” Sin is the snare or trap of the devil. Living in sin as a lifestyle is being caught by the snare of the devil. You know what that means? Everything about you will be caged. You may have very great potentials but there will be no expression. Not because the devil is powerful but because of sin. Sin has ensnared you.

WHAT FASTING OFFERS (10): SPEEDY ANSWERS TO PRAYERS

Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am.Isaiah 58:9 (KJV)

Fasting brings earnestness to your prayers. We saw at the beginning of this month that what produces dynamic power is not just prayer because everybody is praying but not everybody is experiencing tremendous power that is dynamic in its workings. It is earnest prayer that makes tremendous power available. Webster’s Dictionary defines earnest as ‘characterized by or proceeding from an intense and serious state of mind’. Artha Open Thesaurus defines earnest as ‘not distracted by anything unrelated to the goal’. Amplified Bible define earnest as’ heart-felt and continued’. And this earnestness is not a function of physical exertion and plenty of words as our Lord Yahushua has already said that you shall not be heard because of your much speech (see Matthew 6:7). Hollering and demonstrations is nothing when seeking to make your prayer earnest. This earnestness is a spiritual force that must be added to your prayer to make it produce dynamism and results. Vain repetitions cannot help in this school of prayer at all. Finesse of speech is utterly useless.

WHAT FASTING OFFERS (8): ESTABLISHMENT IN RIGHTEOUSNESS

… and thy righteousness shall go before thee; …
Isaiah 58:8 (KJV)

Amplified puts it this way: your righteousness (your rightness, your justice, and your right relationship with God) shall go before you [conducting you to peace and prosperity]. Fasting establishes you in righteousness because you cannot approach Yahweh in sin. And righteousness is not just who we are but what we do. I John 3:7 says, ‘Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.’ Fasting helps you establish the culture of doing righteousness. When one does not live a life of consecrational fasting, his/her life will be filled with uncleanness and filth of all manner. Though he/she may have genuinely at one time confessed the lordship of HaMashiach over his/her life but because he/she has refused to work out his/her salvation with fear and trembling (see Philippians 2:12), he/she cannot exercise dominion over sin and unrighteousness. Yahushua saw this when He said in Matthew 6:16 “Moreover when ye fast”. Fasting offers you establishment in righteousness.

WHAT FASTING OFFERS (5): BEST WAY TO PREPARE FOR THE RAPTURE

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many? and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.Hebrews 9:28 (KJV)

“And unto them that look for him” is the requirement for the rapture. Unto them that yearn for him shall he appear the second time unto salutation. Beloved, are you longing for the return of the Lord Yahushua? The thought of the return of the Lord Yahushua is not a pleasant one for many. Young ladies on the line for marriage would say “let Him wait till I marry!” Same with young men on the line for marriage. So many believers want the Lord to delay His coming so they can achieve one thing or the other. They are not even desiring His coming let alone looking for it. The truth is that when you are living with a lot of worldliness, you would not desire His soon return. You are in love with the things of the world and for you His return is a distraction. Many believers would run away from pulpits that constantly remind them of the eminent return of the Lord. The ears of so many believers have started itching at the sound of Maranatha! (our Lord come!). Why? Because fasting has become a thing for pastors and ministers for so many believers. No wonder, worldliness has eaten into the very fabrics of our souls. This world now holds so much attraction and lure for many that there is no longer any difference between them and the world. In fact, they are now imitating the world.

QUALIFICATION TO BE LED (1): BE HIS SON

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Romans 8:14 (KJV)

From today to a couple of days coming, we shall be examining what qualifies one to be led by Yahweh. Does Adonai lead everyone? Are there indications that will place one on the pedestal where He can access divine direction? Now the truth is that Yahweh is always speaking. But the problem is not many people are connected with Him at His frequency in order to receive His signals. For instance, that you are not tuned in to a radio station that is broadcasting does not negate the fact that they are broadcasting. With the right equipment and tuning, you are in to receive their waves and suddenly you come alive to their service and under the influence of their voice. Yahweh is always speaking, but a lot of people are not turned into His frequency. Today, one qualification we are considering is that you must be a son of Yahweh to be led. A son of Yahweh is that person who has come of age to discern the voice of His Father and is committed to obeying His voice.
