THE TRIUMPH OF LOVE IN MARRIAGE

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.  19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
    Colossians 3:18-19
    (KJV)

The first place that the characteristics of the Yahweh-kind of love manifests is in the family between husband and wife, then extends to the children and then to the Church and society at large.  This is why the failure of people to function in the Yahweh-kind of love in their family has resulted in the high rate of disintegration of families these days.  The scripture is littered with instructions to love our spouses.  It is only the Yahweh-kind of love that can hold marriage together making it a heaven-on-earth experience of a home.  Submission is a function of humility and patience which are all characteristics of the Yahweh-kind of love.  When the wife is told to submit to her own husband, it is another way of telling the wife to love their husbands. Titus 2:4-5 brought it out clearly, “ 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.”  When you love your husband, as a wife, you would be kind, obedient, patient, courteous, generous and appreciating him for the things he does for you and the family.  The author has seen from experience as a pastor counselling numerous people that a godly woman is the best blessing a man can receive.  Just as the scripture says in II Peter 3:1-2, “ 1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands? that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives?  2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.”;  the author has seen the impact of godly submissive wives on ungodly husbands which confirmed the Word that they are always drawn by the chaste conduct of their wives.

When a husband loves his wife, there is a security that love brings on the home front that even Satan himself cannot dare.  The love of a husband is the wall of defence of the home.  When a husband loves his wife, he can go to any length to make the home comfortable for him and all inhabitants of the home.  Remember that we are not talking about natural human love which is very fickle.  We are talking about the Yahweh-kind of love which is a supernatural manifestation of the Holy Spirit.  When a husband loves his wife with this divine love, the security and prosperity of the family is secured.  The Yahweh-kind of love triumphs over every form of assault of the devil on the family.

It takes a mind renewed with the Word of Yahweh and a body submitted to the Lordship of the Holy Spirit to function in the Yahweh-kind of love.  When the husband loves his wife according to 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and the wife does same, no force of the devil can introduce tension in their home.  The Yahweh-kind of love has never been to the divorce court and will never.   No more tension in your home from now!

REMEMBER:   The Yahweh-kind of love triumphs over every assault of the devil on the marriage.

PRAYER:   Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. Help me Lord to love my spouse with the Yahweh-kind of love in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:    I decree that the tension in your home disappears now in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (13):  NEVER FAILS

Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end] …
    I Corinthians 13:8  (KJV)

There is only one thing in life that has guarantee, that you can hold closing your eyes and be 100% sure that you are safe and secure.  You can completely build your life on this one thing and never again think twice in terms of safety, prosperity, peace and eternity. The Lord Yahweh, the creator of heaven and earth is that one person that cannot fail.  In 1 John 4:8, the word tells us that Yahweh is love.  Just as Yahweh can never fail, the Yahweh-kind of love can never fail.  Walking in the Yahweh-kind of love is the only failure-proof existence that guarantees victory and success both in life and eternity.

The Yahweh-kind of love is different from human natural love.  This Yahweh-kind of love cannot be accessed and manifested by a natural person.  It is a supernatural nature that comes upon you as a result of surrendering your heart to the Lord Yahushua.  When you give your life to the Lord Yahushua as your Lord and Personal Saviour, His Spirit comes into your heart/spirit and recreates you.  This is the experience we call being ‘born again’.  This Yahweh-kind of love is shed abroad in your spirit/heart by the Holy Spirit.  So, every born again person has this failure-proof supernatural love in his/her spirit.  Why then are there so many failures in the body of HaMashiach?  Why are there so many divorces and failed marriages?  Why are there so many failed careers and professions?  If the love of Yahweh is in every believer and it guarantees a failure-proof existence, what is the disconnect in the lives of so many believers around the world today?

The answer is that potentials does not always translate into great destinies because there is a responsibility that is placed on the laps of anyone who would experience the benefits of the Yahweh-kind of love.  It is the responsibility of walking, exercising, nurturing and developing that fruit of love.  It is the responsibility of yielding to the Holy Spirit to walk according to the love nature in your spirit and not yield to your flesh and carnal mind.  A lot of believers today instead of walking in the love of Yahweh respond carnally and according to how they feel at the moment and that ruins everything in their lives.  If you have followed our devotional this month, you would have seen the enormous responsibility that walking in the love of Yahweh places on the believer.  When you walk in love, nothing can fail in your life – NOTHING,  your marriage, children, career and profession, absolutely nothing.  You live above the operation of Satan and His agents.  You live in complete dominion over the elements of this world.

REMEMBER:   The Yahweh-kind of love never fails or ends.

CONFESSION:   The love of Yahweh is at work in my life helping me to be kind, patient, humble, courteous, generous and abounding in thanksgiving both towards Yahweh and my neighbour.   Glory!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:    The last failure you experienced is the last forever in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (12):  HOPES ALL THINGS

CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (12):  HOPES ALL THINGS

its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, …
    I Corinthians 13:7 (AMPC)

This word we see translated as “hope” is the Greek word “elpizo” which means to expect or confide.  The word is translated in other places as “trust” and “expect.”  It is the confident expectation of something to come.  To “hope all things” means to confidently expect the long-term spiritual growth of our fellow brothers and sisters in HaMashiach; to expect that their lives will turn out right;  to expect that their situation will change for the better; to treat them according to that beautiful future you expect.  To “hope all things” means that we never consider another to be a lost cause.  It means that we never give up on each other, even when we see one another fall and fall hard.

When we fail to “hope all things” we consider failures of sin to be a final judgment.  It is betrayed in quickness to write the other off.  We have critical notions of others and when they meet our expectations of their weakness, we cross them off our list and push them out of our lives.  When we fail to “hope all things” we separate.  We separate because we feel we have to move on, as if the offender has fallen out of our boat and won’t recover. And what is most awful about losing hope is that it can be so silent.  We usually won’t even bother to confront them in hopes of producing repentance, simply receding from them, quietly, withdrawing from their orbit.  We even convince ourselves that we are actually “covering their sin in love” by staying quiet.

We must come to that point where we expect the best of them, possessing an optimistic view of how things will turn out, in this life or, more importantly, in eternity.  We must recognize ‘…that all things work together for good to those who love Yahweh, to those who are the called according to His purpose.’  (see Romans 8:28 KJV).  This kind of attitude is tested when troubles arise, but possessing this kind of love means we will continue to confidently expect the best of the person we love.  It also means we will do what we can to help that positive and Godly outcome become a reality.  This can sometimes be a challenge.  Sometimes circumstances develop or decisions are made that make it difficult to maintain an optimistic expectation for someone.  That is where we need to remember that the essence of this love is the commitment to the best interest of the one we love.  It is also important to remember how often we are on the other side, making decisions that make it difficult for someone who loves us to maintain that confidence in us.

REMEMBER:   The Yahweh-kind of love expects the best future and works to help actualize it for people in the person’s world.

PRAYER:   Dear Father, thank You for the love shed abroad in my spirit by the Holy Spirit.  I ask for the grace to see the people in my world with Your eyes and to treat them with love even when they are not getting it right in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:   There is nothing that brings one divine presence and interventions like walking in love and I declare that as you make walking in love your great quest, everything mocking the glory of God in your life is cursed now in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (11):  BELIEVES ALL THINGS

CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (11):  BELIEVES ALL THINGS

is ever ready to believe the best of every person, …
    1 Corinthians 13:7 (AMPC)

The word translated as “believes” in the second phrase is “pisteu.”  The New Testament Greek Lexicon meaning for the word includes: to think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place confidence in, to trust, etc.  Once again, Apostle Paul is speaking about our relationships within the body of HaMashiach.   Apostle Paul is not calling for a foolish gullibility.  However, being guarded against the possibility of being taken advantage of is not correct either.  Obviously, this does not mean that we are to lose all discernment when we love someone.  In fact, Apostle Paul prays for the Philippians to have a love characterized by discernment.  In Philippians 1:9-10 (NKJV), we read, ‘And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,

So what does “believes all things” mean?  It means that we are to have confidence in the one we love, to trust them and to always give them the benefit of the doubt, believing the best of them.  It is a relationship that is not filled with suspicion, but trust.  We use an expression today, “innocent until proven guilty,” that can apply here.  Imagine what that does for a person to be loved like that, to be trusted and believed, to know that they have someone’s confidence.  Does this mean that we leave ourselves vulnerable to being disappointed or betrayed?  Yes.  However, the benefits of a love like this far outweigh the risks.  Knowing that I am loved like this inspires me to live up to it.

When I love another person, it is not about me.  It is about them and what is in their best interest.  In the process of trusting and demonstrating confidence in them, we encourage them.  Parents know the truth of this in the relationships they have with their children.  There is a profound difference made in the lives of children whose parents believe in them and expect the best of them.  It is worth thinking about my relationships: How do I treat my husband/wife and my friends?  Do I demonstrate confidence and trust in them?  Do I always give them the benefit of the doubt?  Do I start by assuming the best intentions from them?  How would I like to be treated by those who love me?  It is also worth noting what this does to our own hearts.  A heart that is doubting and always pessimistically assuming the worst from others will be dark, dismal and unable to appreciate the beauty and blessings of love.

REMEMBER:   The Yahweh-kind of love has confidence in, trusts, gives benefit of the doubt and believes the best of the other person.

PRAYER:  Dear Father, thank You for Your word to me today.  The demands of this love is high, Lord help me to be this love to my world, in all my relationships in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:   I release upon you the grace to trust again in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (10):  BEARS ALL THINGS

Love bears up under anything and everything that comes …

    1 Corinthians 13:6  (AMPC)

The more I try to comprehend this love, the more I am amazed and feel like I have not even started at all.  The acid test of spirituality is walking in the Yahweh-kind of love.  The Yahweh-kind of love bears up under anything and everything that comes.  The Greek word rendered bears up or beareth (KJV) is stego.  It means to cover and is related to the word indicating a roof, or a covering that offers protection from the elements.  In his commentary, W. E. Vine explains that this covering  either supports what is placed upon it, or covers what is placed underneath it.  Love acts in both ways in bearing all things.  The implications of this is awe-striking.

Love protects what is within.  Love guards against resentment, anger, and discouragement.  It isn’t hypercritical.  Love doesn’t look for every fault or point out every shortcoming; it doesn’t complain, quibble, or criticize.  How often we attack rather than protect. We expose rather than cover.  We neglect rather than draw near!  It is John MacArthur that says, ‘[Love] does not expose or exploit, gloat or condemn.  It bears; it does not bare.’  In marriage (or any relationship for that matter), there are some things we must choose to overlook in our husbands/wives or in our marriages – as hard as it is.  We must let that complaint, that shortcoming, that inconsistency go into the hands of Yahweh and choose not to pick it up again, dwell on it, or nurse the hurt.  Because we love, we cover over what we do not like in another person, defending their character within the limits of truth and giving up our right or desire for revenge or justice.  Instead of focusing on the faults, imperfections, or mistakes of each other, love chooses to focus on the positive and the good.  But it’s a struggle!  Bearing all things requires sacrifice and selflessness; really, nothing short of HaMashiach in us!

Love protects against the enemy without.  We do not choose all of our circumstances.  Life can be hard, but love supports what is placed upon us, standing up under the weight of it, no matter what tomorrow brings.  Love bears the pressures, faces the trials, and does not give up.  In addition to the trials that come in life, we will face many temptations.  The enemy of our souls would love nothing less than our marriages destroyed, our families torn apart, and our characters demeaned.  We must be on guard, ready to protect from whatever strikes.  When attacked from without, love acts as a shield, keeping out the threats, not allowing them access to the person or the relationship.  Like a roof keeps out rain or walls protect from wind, love is a shelter, a guard or defence; it bears all manner of danger from without and from within.

REMEMBER:   The Yahweh-kind of love covers, supports and protects from within and without the relationship.

CONFESSION:  The Yahweh-kind of love is shed abroad in my spirit by the Holy Ghost and I function in its reality in my relationships today.  My love bears all things.  My love covers, supports and protects the people in my world from within and without making us experience heaven on earth in our lives today and forever. Halleluyah!!!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:   By the manifestation of this love, I decree the restoration of relationships today in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (9):  DO NOT REJOICE AT INJUSTICE OR UNRIGHTEOUSNESS

It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
    I Corinthians 13:6  (AMP)

How our lives and relationships will be transformed if we can just start manifesting the Yahweh-kind of love.  This love does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness.  What does it mean to not rejoice in iniquity?  The word “rejoiceth” in the phrase “rejoiceth not in iniquity” according to KJV is translated from the Greek word chairō, which means to rejoice, to be glad, to be delighted or pleased. Think about when you are delighted in something. You may dwell on it or talk about it—maybe you even make a big deal about it or magnify it.  You rejoice in it, and it makes you glad.  When we manifest the love of Yahweh, we absolutely don’t rejoice in unrighteousness.  We assuredly don’t take pleasure in wrongdoing.  And we most certainly don’t gloat over other men’s sins nor show gladness when others do wrong or fail.

You probably have seen or heard something happened to someone and you responded “Yes, he/she deserves it” maybe because of the way they have treated you in the past.  That kind of response is not the Yahweh-kind of love’s way.  Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere.  When someone is unjustly treated and you are happy because the person has also treated you unjustly, you are not manifesting the Yahweh-kind of love.  When someone is unjustly treated, no matter what the person has done, stand against the injustice because the Yahweh-kind of love does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness.  No matter how “deserving” it may seem for someone to “get what’s coming to them”, that’s not what love would do.  Love does not avenge itself.  Love is not secretly glad someone was injured or hurt or paid back for their wrongs.

The Yahweh-kind of love does not rejoice when someone falls into sin.  It does not condone unrighteousness.  There is no trophy in knowing we were right about another’s failings; a heart of love is sorrowful, prayerful, and broken over the fall or faults of another.  Love does not live at peace with unrighteousness.  Love cares too much for other people to “wink at sin” or to look the other way when iniquity enters the camp.  Love cares enough to confront sin, even to “expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11).  We must be bold to stand up against unrighteousness, iniquity, and injustice.  To not just believe that unrighteousness is wrong, but to live a life that demonstrates what truth is, to show the world another way of living, and to campaign against wickedness by our own good deeds. Love takes a stand!

REMEMBER:   The Yahweh-kind of love does not rejoice in injustice and sin but rejoices when right and truth prevail.

PRAYER:   Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your word to me today.  I ask for the grace to manifest Your love that is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost.  I do not rejoice in injustice and unrighteousness in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:    The grace to function with a heart of love that does not rejoice in injustice receive it now in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (8):  IS NOT TOUCHY, EASILY ANGERED OR RESENTFUL

    WordForTodayDevotional_15082026

    #WordForTodayDevotional

CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (8):  IS NOT TOUCHY, EASILY ANGERED OR RESENTFUL

it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
    I Corinthians 13:5 (AMP)

Yahweh-kind of love is not touchy.  There are people who are touchy or quick-tempered; they’re so sensitive, you have to be careful the way you talk to them, lest they be offended.  That’s not the way of love.  Love is not easily offended.  To be touchy means to be irritable, quick-tempered, prickly or easily upset.  The Greek word ‘Logizomai’ refers to “keeping a mental record” or “taking into account.”1   It is an accounting term.  It accounts for the list of wrongs and possesses the ability to accurately look back and pull up any specific offence.  As any accountant knows, if you keep track of someone’s payments or debts, it is because you have every intention of drawing their attention back to those financial obligations at some point in the future.  The same is true in this case.  Those who keep a record of offences (real or perceived) done to them, the intent is to bring those back up at some point in the future and hold that person responsible for their actions. This, love does not do so.

Most translators interpret logizomai as not keeping a record or account of wrongs (NAS, NLT, NIV).  A couple translate this idea as being “resentful” (ESV, NET).  But there is potentially one slight difference as seen in the KJV’s translation, “thinketh no evil.”  Chrysostom and Barnes aligned to the KJV’s thought.   According to Chrysostom, ‘Paul doesn’t say, “worketh no evil” but, [instead love] thinketh no evil.”  Love is so far from evil that it doesn’t even suspect evil of her beloved.  How could she even be provoked?  The fountain of wrath flows from the presumption of evil.’2  Albert Barnes reflects a similar thought when he said, ‘It means that love, or that a person under the influence of love, is not malicious, censorious, disposed to find fault, or to impute improper motives to others. . . .  it is not disposed to think that there was any evil intention even in cases which might tend to irritate or exasperate us. . . . it puts the best possible construction on the conduct of others, and supposes, as far as can be done, that it was in consistency with honesty, truth, friendship, and love.’3

Both Chrysostom and Barnes reflect an insightful thought that is as well embedded in the KJV’s translation. If you never conclude that someone was malicious towards you and if you always assume the best of people’s intentions, it will be easy to overlook an offence because you will never take the offences personally.  This is a little different than the conclusion of modern translators and commentators.  They see this term as referring to accounting.  In this case, the person would be aware of an offence, but they would not keep track of or record offences. While Paul’s intent is likely “love keeps no record of wrongs,” most certainly we should strongly consider the exhortation to accomplish this first by not being offended in the first place – not assuming the worst of someone’s motives.  If we assume the best in people, we will likely have far fewer potential offences to overlook.

REMEMBER:   The Yahweh-kind of love assumes the best of people’s intentions (thinketh no evil) and this cuts off the chance to be offended.

CONFESSION:  I refuse to be resentful, touchy or self-seeking, because I’m full of divine love! The love of Yahweh is growing in my heart, and I’m deeply rooted and grounded in love. As I go forth today I do not behave unbecomingly, nor blaze out in anger, but manifest love to everyone I meet.  Halleluyah!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:   I declare upon you today, favour that will ensure you never lack in this season is released upon you.  You are exempted from the evil of the day. Peace to you and your household in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (7):  IS NOT SELF-SERVING

Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; …
    I Corinthians 13:5 (AMP)

The highest revival any person can experience in this side of eternity is the revival of walking in the Yahweh-kind of love.  It will so transform you to the amazement of even yourself.  You don’t know what true spirituality means until the fruit of love is developed and grows in your life.  The Yahweh-kind of love according to Pa Kenneth Hagin has not been to the divorce court and can never go there because it cannot fail.  Look at our text again, this Yahweh-kind of love does not insist on its own rights or its own way.  Wow!  ‘This is my right and I must have it’ is never the way of this supernatural love.  ‘If it is not my way then there is no way’ attitude is not seen in this Yahweh-kind of love.

Let me illustrate this.  When we are struggling to love another person, typically we find that the cause, or at least one of the causes, is that that person is doing something that we experience negatively or is failing to do something that we would experience positively: “I can’t love my spouse because he/she keeps doing x, y, and z or never does a, b, or c.”  Whenever we find our feelings reflect this thought, the problem is not that we are struggling to love them.  The problem is that we have forgotten what love is!  Love DOES NOT look to its own things.  Love in no way, shape or form depends upon the actions of others for it to either exist or thrive.  While it may be easier for us to love someone who treats us exactly how we would like to be treated, this is no better a form of love than the most secular humanist can muster up!   Yahushua taught us and commanded us to love even our enemies.  Enemy is a strong word in the scriptures.  We can only do this if we embrace the radical idea that love does not look to her own things.

Love looks outward and cherishes and pursues what is best for another – whether they love us or hate; however they feel about us or treat us.  This love can still be “tough” and still be love.  But it cannot be vindictive, or petty, calculating, or judgmental in any way.  In fact, love’s ultimate concerns are the agenda of its object.  Love occupies itself with what has the best effect upon another.  Love is not concerned with what has been done for it lately, but always wakes up wondering what it can do for the other today.  This is, after all, precisely how Yahweh in HaMashiach has loved you.  It is still this same love that we are to extend to others.

REMEMBER:   The Yahweh-kind of love seeks the interest of others.

PRAYER:    Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today.  I ask for grace to grow and develop the fruit of Your love in my spirit.  Help me to be the expression of this love to my world and to reap the benefits thereof in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:    I release grace upon you to walk in the reality of this love in your relationships.  In this season, I declare supernatural supplies for you now in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (6):  IS NOT RUDE

CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (6):  IS NOT RUDE

it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. …
    I Corinthians 13:5 (AMP)

To be rude is to be socially incorrect in behaviour.  It is of a person, lacking in refinement or grace.  It is lacking civility or good manners.  The Greek work is aschemoneo meaning to be (act) unbecoming, exactly how Amplified puts it.   The place our spirituality is easily known and tested is in the use of words.   So many prayerful people are very rude.  They can easily insult the people in their lives and that does not bother them.  The Yahweh-kind of love is not rude.  If you get the use of your tongue right, then you are a perfect person.  James 3:1-12 explained this issue very succinctly.  It is a long reading, but it is worth the time.   “1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.  2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.  3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us? and we turn about their whole body.  4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.  5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!  6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature? and it is set on fire of hell.  7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:  8 But the tongue can no man tame? it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.  9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father? and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.  10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.  11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?  12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

Love doesn’t act improperly, or dishonorably, or indecently.  Love doesn’t behave in an ugly or unbecoming manner.  Love doesn’t needlessly offend, or act bluntly or crudely.  Love does not behave gracelessly.  And so if you state it positively, love always behaves itself – it always acts properly and honorably, and decently and gracefully.  Rather than being rude, love acts with common courtesy.  The Yahweh-kind of love will be gracious with words as the Word commands (see Colossians 4:6).  Selah!

REMEMBER:  The Yahweh-kind of love always speaks with grace.

CONFESSION:   My word is always with grace seasoned with salt and it gives grace to every one that hears me.  I function like this as a lifestyle.  Glory be Yahweh!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:    I decree a restoration of your relationship today as your words align with grace seasoned with salt in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (5):  IS NOT INFLATED WITH PRIDE

CHARACTERISTICS OF YAHWEH’S KIND OF LOVE (5):  IS NOT INFLATED WITH PRIDE

love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); …
    I Corinthians 13:4-5 (AMP)

The very word translated “pride” is the Greek word ‘phusioo’ meaning to “puff up” or “blow up.” The English idiom “having a big head” communicates the same idea.  To be puffed up is to have an inflated opinion of oneself.   According to William Penn, the founder of the Colony of Pennsylvania, “A proud man then is a kind of glutton upon himself; for he is never satisfied with loving and admiring himself; whilst nothing else, with him, is worthy either of love or care” (from No Cross, No Crown, chapter XII).  In pride we become the objects of our own love; in humility we learn to love others.

Pride is a sin.  Apostle John taught that the pride of life “is not from the Father but is from the world” (see 1 John 2:16).  The Proverbs summarize Yahweh’s attitude regarding pride: “Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate” (see Proverbs 8:13), and, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (see Proverbs 16:18).  In contrast to the humility of love, the Corinthian believers were known for their proud behaviour at times.  They argued over which apostle they followed (chapters 1-3), spoke poorly of Paul (chapter 4), boasted of their tolerance of sinful behaviour (chapter 5), took fellow believers to court with lawsuits (chapter 6), dishonoured Yahweh in their taking of the Lord’s Supper (chapter 11), and argued about which spiritual gifts were most important (chapter 12).  Paul’s exhortation that “love is not proud” provided a proper correction for their self-centred attitudes.

The only thing love sees is the need.  When the Good Samaritan stopped to help the man in need on the Jericho road, he didn’t concern himself with how “Jews do not associate with Samaritans” (John 4:9).  The Good Samaritan did not care how it looked to others.  He was there to help (Luke 10:30-37).  His humble focus on someone else’s need is the illustration Yahushua used of loving our neighbour as ourselves.  We are called to shine the Yahweh-kind of love to our world.  Life is not all about you.  Stop living and centering life on yourself.  Life is about the Lord Yahushua and shining His love to the hurting and dying world.   There is no soul that is more important than the other.   Share the love of the Lord Yahushua with as many as you can find and do that with every humility considering it a privilege.  It is the life you have received in HaMashiach to be for a light to the nations of the earth.  Pride shall not be your ruin in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

REMEMBER:   The Yahweh-kind of love is never inflated with pride but sees the need and attends to it.

PRAYER:     Dear Father, thank You for Your word to me today.  Let every form of pride in me die now.  Anything in me contending with Your kind of love being manifested through me be consumed by the fire of the Holy Spirit in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:   The root of pride is cursed in your life now.  The hindrance to that explosion coming your way is just removed now in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!
