PARTNERING WITH THE LORD INVOLVES (2): PREACHING THE GOSPEL

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Mark 16:20 (KJV)

There is nothing sophisticated or special about preaching. Every believer is called to preach. To preach simply means to proclaim, to declare, to publish; to herald. When you talk to your colleague about his eternal destiny, and what the Lord Yahushua has done for him, that is preaching. Preaching is not for special people. It is not for pastors, evangelists, etc. No! A thousand times No! They were a minimum of 120 people that the Lord Yahushua gave the command to go and preach. They were not all apostles or teachers. They were just believers. Some of you go for lunch with your colleagues and all the while you are talking about your football clubs; that is preaching about your football clubs. You could even hear some people arguing about their favourite players from a mile away during lunch break. Beloved, that is exactly what preaching is all about. Instead of talking what does not have eternal value, why not talk about Yahushua HaMashiach. The time is very short. Make the most of every opportunity to help someone make a decision about where he/she would spend eternity.

THE ASSIGNMENT IS URGENT

Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.
Revelation 22:12 (KJV)

When it comes to the task of soul-winning, we do not have eternity to fulfill the task. Time is short and the task is urgent. This is because, anyone not reached before he/she passes over to eternity is lost forever. The gospel is a rescue mission operation. Anyone without the Yahushua HaMashiach as Lord and Personal Saviour is racing to eternity in the lake of fire (see Revelation 20:15). These people are our friends, family, colleagues and associates. If we understand the horror of an eternity without the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach, then we should know the urgency of the task of soul-winning and evangelism. We have only a limited time to tell as many people as we can find. Why is the assignment so urgent? First, death is sure for everybody on earth and there is no specific time appointment. The only thing we know is that it is appointed for man once to die (see Hebrews 9:27) and after that judgment. The time of that appointment is not certain. So many people are being taken unawares by death and they pass into eternity without HaMashiach (the Christ). This is a horrific situation which is why the assignment is very urgent – to save people from ending in an eternity without Yahushua HaMashiach as Lord.

SOUL-WINNING IS YOUR PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT ON EARTH

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mark 16:15 (KJV)

When we say that something is of primary importance, we mean to say that it ranks first and that it is of first importance or value; that it is direct and immediate rather than secondary. If it is primary then it is the most important element of all considerations. As a believer, soul-winning is your primary assignment on earth. When you surrendered your heart to the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach, He would have called you home immediately; but He chose to leave you here on earth, why? It is because when you are born again, you become HaMashiach (the Christ) that your world sees; you become the extension of divinity to your sphere of contacts. You are now the light of your world; the salt of your world. They are lost and hopeless without you. Your presence produces preservation and illumination to your sphere of contacts. The instrument of that illumination is the gospel of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach. 2 Corinthians 4:4 talks about the light of the glorious gospel of HaMashiach (the Christ). When you share the gospel, you are shining the light to your sphere of contacts. Your business/career is a vehicle to convey you to the people in your world. Your career/business is not your primary assignment. It is utter misplacement of priority to make your career/business as your primary assignment. Your business/career is only a point of contact for you to communicate the gospel to your world.

THE VALUE OF A SOUL

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 [KJV]

The value of a thing is determined amongst others by the price you have to pay for it. So, cost determines value. The value of the soul of man can be seen by the cost our Heavenly Father paid to buy it back from sin and Satan. The soul of man is made to live forever. The Soul of man is what will finally end up in heaven or in hell/lake of fire. The breathe of Yahweh at creation was what gave birth to the soul of man (see Genesis 2:7). So, the soul of man is a spiritual reality. Man is not a body. Flesh and blood cannot not inherit the kingdom of Yahweh (see I Corinthians 15:50). Yahweh created man to be like Him and to be His Authority on Earth. However, man handed this authority to the devil, selling himself as a slave to the devil (see Luke 4:6). Man thwarted the plan of Yahweh in collaboration with Satan. Yahweh in His mercy hashed a redemption plan for man. It is important to understand that nothing in heaven or on earth could do anything about redeeming man because the cost is absolutely not affordable by them.

FAITHLESSNESS IS VERY TRAGEDIC

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved? but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mark 16:16 (KJV)

Faith is not just a treasure but not possessing faith is a tragedy. It is very dangerous to be faithless. It is deadly to exist without faith. It is calamitous to function in life outside of faith in Yahweh. One of the motivations of pursuing faith is not just for the victories that it holds for you but also for the dangers that existing without it holds for you. Firstly, without faith, your eternity is in the lake of fire (see Revelation 21:8), then, you exist without eternal life on earth (see John 3:36), then a life full of natural limitations and frustrations (see Matthew 8:26), then a life barren of the help of Yahweh (see 2 Chronicles 25:8), also a life at the mercy of Satan and his agents (see Luke 13:16), etc. The list is almost inexhaustible but for space, we shall be explaining the above-mentioned.

HOW DOES YAHWEH-KIND OF FAITH COME? (1): BY KNOWING THE INTEGRITY OF YAHWEH’S WORD

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Psalms 138:2 (KJV)

Faith is a function of the knowledge of Yahweh. You cannot exercise faith beyond the level of revelation of the Lord Yahushua that you have. Psalm 9:2 (KJV) says, ‘And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.’ This follows that if you don’t have faith in Yahweh, it is the proof of your bankruptcy of the knowledge of Yahweh. You cannot Know Yahweh and not trust Him. One aspect of the knowledge of Yahweh that helps you to function in highest kind of faith is the knowledge of the integrity of the Word of Yahweh. When we talk about integrity, we talk about the infallibility, unbreakability and reliability of the Word of Yahweh.

THE POWER OF YAHWEH’S LOVE (2): BRINGS MERCY

“Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”
Jude 1:21 (KJV)

Beloved, after this month in this #WordForTodayDevotional, you will never have any reason to hold down your head any more in life. The love of the Father has procured His mercy upon you. By that love, you have become the object of His mercy. This is mind-blowing to say the least. Romans 9:22-23 says, “23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, 24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?” The Father’s love has made us the vessels of mercy. That means that there is nothing that runs in your generation that should be part of your life. There is no wrath of the enemy or even the curse of Yahweh (if any) on your lineage that should be part of your experience today. This is because you are now the vessel of His mercy. His love has brought us His mercy.

PROSPERITY OF YOUR BODY

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
III John 1:2 (KJV)

Prosperity of the body means well-being in your body, finances, family and relationships. Our heavenly Father desires that you prosper in your body. Don’t allow any devil deceive you; sickness, pain, affliction, disease or any such thing is never the will of your heavenly Father for you. Yahweh is not punishing you with sickness, it is never written. It is however, true that sickness of all manner is in the curse of the law and you expose yourself to them by walking contrary to the Word. As a child of Yahweh, however, who is born again in Yahushua HaMashiach, you have a new nature of righteousness which forbids you to continue living in sin. You may fall into unrighteousness but living in sin is not your nature. Even at that, your Father is not going to punish you with sickness. When you sin, you repent and you are forgiven and that cuts off the hand of the devil. What we are saying today is don’t ever accept sickness, pain, disease or anything that discomforts your body as the will of Yahweh for you. The prosperity of your body is a priority to your heavenly Father. “I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health” is His declaration and He has not changed His mind. Your body is your license to exist on earth. No matter how sound your spirit and soul are, when your body wears out, your stay on earth has expired. The Father wants you to live a long strong healthy life.
