WHAT RIGHTEOUSNESS OFFERS (2): BEAUTY

The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
Isaiah 60:13 (KJV)

The place of Yahweh’s sanctuary is a beautiful place. It is made for glory and for beauty. It means that anyone that dwells around that region enjoys beauty and colour in their lives. Holiness is colourful and beautiful. Sin stinks. Adam was created a beauty to behold. His life was full of colour and glory. But as soon as sin arrives, Adam became naked. How beautiful is nakedness? Nobody on their right mind advertises nakedness. It is shameful to be naked. Purity gives birth to beauty. Nothing glorifies and beautifies like holiness. When the Church will rise in holiness and righteousness, there shall be beauty, heaven-decked beauty upon Zion. When we come to that point that men take covenant oaths, “If I perish, I perish, but I will live for the truth!” then we have arrived at the chores of the beauty and glory realms of the Church. Purity is the mother of beauty. Psalms 149:4 says, “He will beautify the meek with salvation.” What is salvation? Referring to the Lord Yahushua in Matthew 1:21, the Word says, “He shall save his people from their sins.” That means your beauty, true colour, and covenant colour emerges only when you are saved from sin. That is when your dominion and authority over sin is established, only then will your true beauty emerge. When sin goes, colour is established. I see your beauty emerging in a most powerful way!

WHAT RIGHTEOUSNESS OFFERS (1): PROSPERITY, PROMOTIONS AND HONOUR

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
Proverbs 14:34 (KJV)

Proverbs 14:23 says that in all labour there is profit. There is unquantifiable profits in labouring to live a holy and righteous life. Apart from the other benefits, you also enjoy divine presence continually because you are standing on the right foundation. Whereas sin brings a curse, righteousness brings blessings. Righteousness causes you to be planted in the very presence of Yahweh which guarantees your flourishing. Psalms 92:12 says, “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” No matter the drought in the land, the righteous shall flourish; his leaves will remain green. Just as Job flourished by righteousness, everyone that practises righteousness will flourish. Uprightness takes up. That was the testimony of Job. Job 1:1-3 says, “1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. 2 And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. 3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.” Righteousness was the reason for the height Job attained. Evil must die in your life, so the glory that Yahweh has mapped out for you will come out. Job became the greatest man in the land not through crookedness or perverseness, but through uprightness and godly perfection. He was scared of evil; he never touched it.

WHAT BRINGS THE FEAR OF YAHWEH

WHAT BRINGS THE FEAR OF YAHWEH

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Psalms 9:10 (KJV)

The fear of Yahweh comes from the knowledge of Yahweh, which is from knowing Yahweh. The Bible tells us that the beginning of wisdom and knowledge is the fear of the Lord. Proverbs 9:10 says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” As Yahweh’s presence is revealed to us physically and spiritually we stand in awesome respect of His power and majesty. The children of Israel had an encounter with Yahweh that made an impression on them at Mount Sinai. Exodus 19:17-19 says, “17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. 18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. 19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.”

BENEFITS OF THE FEAR OF YAHWEH

Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.
Psalms 128:1 (KJV)

What are the benefits of living a lifestyle of the fear of Yahweh? Why should I live with this trembling disposition before the Lord as a lifestyle? The treasures of the Kingdom is rooted in the fear of the Lord. Without the fear of the Lord, you have no chance with Yahweh. So, all the good things of life answers to the fear of the Lord in you. Firstly, according to our opening texts, the blessings of the Lord are only for those that fear Him (see Psalms 128:1-6). That blessing includes: a. That you labour and eat the labour of your hands. There are people labouring but others are eating it in the name of sickness or diseases or one case or the other. Psalms 128:2 says, “For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.” When you walk in the fear of the Lord, no devil can tamper with the labour of your hands. b. The fear of the Lord makes you a happy person. It ensures that the happenings in your life are those that bring you joy. No matter what the devil brings your way, it eventually ends in glory and in your favour. c. That it is well with you. This means that you enjoy good, beauty, better, bounty and prosperity. No evil occurrence. No activities of the enemy around you. d. That you are settled in marriage. No matter the curse of marital delay working in your family, the fear of the Lord ensures that you are settled gloriously and covenantly in marriage. Not just that, it guarantees your fruitfulness. No form of barrenness. Psalms 128:3 says, “Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.”

THE FEAR OF YAHWEH (B)

THE FEAR OF YAHWEH (B)

Then had the churches rest throughout all Judæa and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
Acts 9:31 (KJV)

We are continuing from yesterday. We are looking at what the fear of the Lord really means. Firstly, we said that it is not figurative. Secondly, the Fear of the Lord is to understand Yahweh to the extent that you literally tremble in conducting your affairs as a person. What do you understand that evoke this fear? His Person, that Yahweh is not a player or joker. His holiness – that there is no unrighteousness with Him. His Position on sin – anything that goes contrary to His Word is sin and it is regarded as rebellion. His judgments – you see how He dealt with people that sinned before to determine your fate with Him. His justice – that he does not respect persons. Whatever you are makes absolutely no meaning with the Lord. II Chronicles 19:7 “Wherefore now let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.”

THE FEAR OF YAHWEH (A)

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men? …
II Corinthians 5:11 (KJV)

One of the things that is missing in the Church of nowadays is the fear of the Lord. The first thing to establish today is that there is no Old testament Yahweh and another New testament Yahweh. Another thing to note is that Grace is more grave than the law. It only gives you more rope to repent but it is just as grave and even more than the law. That is why you must understand that the same Yahweh in the Old testament that drove Adam and Eve from Eden (see Genesis 3:23-24); that cursed the ground for man (see Genesis 3:17-19); that razed down the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah (see Genesis 19:24); that drown the whole earth of those days in flood and wiped them out (see Genesis 7:21-24); that wasted Pharaoh and his army in the red sea (see Genesis 14:28); that though He delivered the people from Egypt, wasted those that believe not in the wilderness (see Numbers 32:13); that though he swore a covenant to Israel, destroyed Israel and took them away in captivity according to His Word by His prophets (see I Chronicles 6:15); that though He loved the Son, looked away when He bore the sins of the world (see Mark 15:34); that slew Ananias and Sapphira for lying (see Acts 5:1-10); is still the same Yahweh you are dealing with today. He hates sin!!!!!!! He hates rebellion against His Word. Beloved, why did Yahushua come? It was because of sin and its consequences. How then do you think that you can receive eternal life and continue in sin? How then do you think that coming to Church is enough even though you continue to wallow in iniquity? You cannot be living in heaven and with Yahushua in the heavenly places and still be living a lifestyle of hell and Satan as your director. Impossible!

WHAT IS HOLINESS?

WHAT IS HOLINESS?

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Hebrews 12:14 (KJV)

Holiness in the Old Testament is the Hebrew word ‘qodes’ a word that highlights the realm of the sacred in contrast to everything common and profane. The adjective ‘qādôš’, “holy,” refers to Yahweh and what belongs to him. In various places in the Hebrew Scriptures, Yahweh is called by the title the “Holy One of Israel.” Whatever that belongs to Yahweh is holy. Time, space, objects, and people—all can become holy if they belong to Yahweh. The temple in Jerusalem was considered holy space, and the objects used in worship holy objects. The Sabbaths and feasts of Israel were considered holy days or seasons. And the Israelites were called Yahweh’s holy people by virtue of belonging to Him. The New Testament uses the words ‘hagiazo’, to “make holy” and ‘hagio’ “holy” or “sacred.” Yahushua is called “the Holy One of Yahweh”(see Mark 1:24, Luke 4:24). And those who acclaim Yahushua as Lord are called ‘hagioi’, or “saints.” As believers, we are literally set apart, made holy, because of our relationship with the one who bridges the gap between a holy God and sinful human beings.

RIGHTEOUSNESS NATURE

RIGHTEOUSNESS NATURE

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away? behold, all things are become new.
I Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

The problem of sin is not just an act but a nature. Sin is a nature in the unsaved. That is why just a decision to stop doing something cannot suffice because sin is who you are if you are not born again. In the same vein, for the believer, there is a new nature called the nature of righteousness which you received at salvation. You are not a refurbished person at salvation, you are a new creation. This literally means that you are now a new specie of being that has not existed before. That is the mystery of righteousness. While you are seeing yourself as someone that just believed in Yahushua as Lord, the real fact is that you are a new creation that does not have a past. That is because your past was crucified with HaMashiach on Calvary. So, quit feeling the pain of what you did in the past, the record no longer exist at that point you believed and confessed with your mouth the Lordship of HaMashiach, your past was wiped out. You are now a new creation, a new specie of being that has no past. That is not all. You now have a new nature and that is the nature of Yahweh, the nature of righteousness. This new nature is what makes it possible for you to be able to stand before Yahweh sinless and able to accommodate divine presence. This nature of righteousness is why you can live a holy life. Without being righteous, you cannot live righteous. Your being determines your doing. Why does a lion roar? Because he is a lion and it is in his nature to roar. Why does a sinner commit sin? Because he is a sinner and sin is his nature.

THE HORRORS OF SIN (4): ABSENCE OF PEACE

THE HORRORS OF SIN (4): ABSENCE OF PEACE

There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked.
Isaiah 48:22 (KJV)

One of the first thing that happened to Adam at the fall was the lose of peace. Peace is that state of tranquillity spirit, soul and body. Peace is the absence of war both within and without. Peace is a state of perfect fellowship with Yahweh where man’s obedience is confirmed. At the fall, the first thing that happened to Adam was that he discovered he was afraid. There was a looming sense of conflict, war and contempt spiritually that made him hide from the presence of the Lord. The presence that he used to enjoy before was now making him afraid. Surely and truly, there is no peace unto the wicked. The wicked is the person that lives in rebellion against the Word of Yahweh. The wicked is that one that scorns obedience to the Word of Yahweh. Sin destroys the presence of Yahweh which guarantees peace and leaves us with war both within and without. You cannot truly be at peace with sin alive in you. One of the greatest treasures in this life is peace. Once, there is no peace, then every other thing will breakdown; health, marriage, career, business, etc. Literally, if there is war, everything shuts down. That is how destiny shuts down by sin. When there is no peace, life begins to shut down. So, peace is an inevitable asset in the race of life.
