    FAITH IN WHAT (2)

    And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
    Mark 11:22 (KJV)

    Why should we have faith in Yahweh? It is important we get acquainted with a few here. We should have faith in Yahweh because:

    1. Yahweh is love and love cannot fail or disappoint. 1 John 4:8 says, “He that loveth not knoweth not God? for God is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:8). Yahweh loves you and whatever demand he makes on you by His Word is absolutely for your benefit. Romans 8:32 (KJV) says, ‘He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?’ If Yahweh has already given you His best which is Yahushua in His love for you, then you can trust Him because there is nothing better than Yahushua.
    2. Yahweh’s Word has been tried and tested seven times without fail. Psalms 12:6 (KJV) says, ‘The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.’ You can close your eyes and fall back in total reliance on the Word and be sure that you will never fall. The Word is more sure that your physical body – what you can see, feel and touch. That is why your faith must be in Yahweh.
    3. Not one jot of what Yahweh has spoken before has failed. Joshua 21:45 (KJV) says, ‘There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.’ Evidence they say is the end of all argument. I Kings 8:15 (KJV) says, ‘And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,’ Yahweh has not failed anyone that believed Him in the past, so you can trust Him today.
    4. You can only see the manifestation of Yahweh upon faith in Him. In John 11:40 (KJV), ‘Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?’ When her faith was confirmed, her brother was raised back from the dead (John 11:44). There is what we call the law of faith. Stay tuned on this devotional, we shall be discussing it in the course of the month.
    5. Yahweh is not a man to lie. Numbers 23:19 (KJV) says, ‘God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?’ I know you are used to the disappointments of people but understand that Yahweh is not a man.

    It is total ignoramus to doubt Yahweh. Psalms 9:10 (KJV) says, ‘And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.’ Not to have faith in Yahweh is the evidence of bankruptcy of knowledge of Yahweh.

    REMEMBER: You must put your faith in Yahweh because of His antecedents.

    PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word to me today! I receive the grace to take You at Your Word in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: Whatever that is hindering your faith in Yahweh is cursed today. I command your faith to come alive now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    FAITH DEFINED (2)

    Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the sign that the things not seen are true.
    Hebrews 11:1 [BBE]

    Continuing from yesterday in trying to define what faith is, we shall look at faith to the believer now. So, what is faith? Secondly, faith is believing the Bible as the Word of Yahweh and responding in obedience thereby. Faith is being convinced about the provisions of scripture and acting out of that conviction thereby provoking divine manifestation. Faith is coming to the point that your reality is the Word and behaving it out, thereby committing the integrity of Yahweh to perform His Word. In Luke 17:12-19 we saw the story of ten lepers who came to Yahushua and pleaded that He should have mercy on them. In response, the Lord Yahushua said to them, “Go shew yourselves unto the priests” (see Luke 17:14). They were still leprous as He spoke to them. No change in their situation at all. Faith is believing the Bible and acting on it. That was exactly what these men did. They believed that for whatever reason that Yahushua told them to go and show themselves to the priests means that they were healed. They started off without any sign of being healed yet. Beloved, faith is you believing the Word and acting on it. Until you act on the Word, you can never see the power of Yahweh displayed on your behalf. The Bible says that as they went in obedience to show themselves to the priests, they were cleansed. Halleluyah! That is faith. Obeying the Word because you believe it. It is coming to that place that your reasoning dies at the instance of the Word. It is not a mystery at all. Just simply believing and acting to show that you believe, then the heavens open over you to show that the Word is infallible. Some of us would like to be healed first before going to show ourselves to the priest. Isn’t it the logical thing to do? But that is not faith way. Faith says, obey the Word first, before you can see the hand of Yahweh stretched out in your direction. If you are waiting to see that power move before you act, you would remain in that situation forever because without faith, it is impossible to move the hand of Yahweh.

    Thirdly, faith is a living force, drawn from the living Word to produce living proofs – Bishop David Oyedepo. That definition says that faith is drawn from the living Word. Your faith must be Word based. In Luke 5:5 we read, “And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.” Faith is saying “there is no sense professionally in this, but at the Word, I will take this step”. Faith is making moves based on the Word. When your moves are based on the Word, spiritual forces are invoked to produce living proofs for you. I John 5:4 says, ”For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” When your faith comes, your victory over Satan and the world becomes automatic. Selah!

    REMEMBER: Faith is the response of the human spirit to the word of God.

    CONFESSION: My spirit is configured to respond to the Word in total reliance and obedience and that makes me a living proof on earth. Thank You Lord!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I see you rising up to faith levels of command over your present situation this month in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    FAITH DEFINED (1)

    Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
    HEBREWS 11:1 [KJV]

    There is a world where all things are possible. There is a place where you can have all your needs met according to His riches in glory. Faith is that spiritual force which opens humanity to a world of unlimited possibilities. Faith is a world of no limits; if you can believe, all things are possible. Faith is living in a spiritual world of no limits. Faith is the most potent force in the whole universe; it’s the key to everything in the kingdom. Faith is the connection to the power source of Yahweh. We all agree that with Yahweh all things are possible (see Matthew 19:16; Mark 10:27). If there is any impossibility, it is only in the human realm because with Yahweh all things are possible. So that power that makes all things possible is connectable only with faith. With faith, you stand in the realm of all possibilities. If faith is this powerful, what exactly is faith. If we can define it, we can find it and take delivery of it.

    The Greek word translated faith is ‘pistis’. It means persuasion and conviction in your spirit of the truthfulness of Yahweh and reliance upon Yahushua for salvation; it is reliance that what the Word says about Yahweh and Yahushua is the truth and acting on that conviction. Faith is the work of the Holy Spirit in the heart of man upon hearing the Gospel of Yahushua HaMashiach. The Holy Spirit imparts you with this conviction and helps you to rely on Yahushua HaMashiach for salvation. Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Faith is a spiritual gift that comes by hearing the Word of Yahweh. Yahweh has given everyone that believe the Gospel the measure of faith. Romans 12:3 says, “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” All of us were given the same amount of faith at salvation. There is no one that received a higher faith at salvation; it was the same measure of faith that was dealt to everyone at salvation. So, firstly, faith is the conviction that Yahushua HaMashiach came, died, was buried and rose from the dead to give me eternal life and responding to that word in surrender by confessing Yahushua HaMashiach as Lord and Personal Saviour of my life. (see Romans 10:6-10). This is the starting place of the faith we are talking about. If you have not had this experience, then, you won’t profit from what the Lord is saying to us this month. If you are not connected to Yahweh through the Lord Yahushua, then you cannot collect the deliveries of faith.     SEPTEMBER 2021 PROPHETIC FOCUS

    Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
    Mark 9:23 [KJV]

    Welcome to the month of September of our year of HAMASHIACH MY LIFE 2021. We are exploring the life we received in Yahushua HaMashiach this year. What is in ‘zoe’? What is the value of eternal life? HaMashiach is the Hebrew for ‘the Anointed One’ Colossians 3:4 says, “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” That means that HaMashiach is my life. His life is my life. The life that He has is the same life that I have in Him. In January, we saw that in HaMashiach, prayer and fasting settles all kinds. In February, we saw that our life in HaMashiach is a call of service to the gospel of saving the lost and how it guarantees divine favour for every engaging believer. In March, we discovered that Yahweh’s Word is the material for building us up and giving us the inheritance we have in HaMashiach. In April, we saw that the Ruach HaKodesh in us as a result of receiving HaMashiach makes us wonders on earth. In May, we explored the Wisdom of Yahweh that helps us to redeem the time, thereby maximizing destiny. In June, we saw that prosperity is our heritage in HaMashiach. In July, we saw that the Life we have in HaMashiach empowers us to live holy lives thereby making us whole in every area of our lives. In August, we were enlightened as to the wonders of the Yahweh-kind of love and how that brings constant transformation into our lives.

    The Yahweh-kind of love is the missing link in the life of so many people. We started the month looking at exactly what this Yahweh-kind of love is because if we can’t define it, it would be impossible to find it. We explored the reason we should embark on such a study in the first place. We saw the difference between the human love and this divine love. We explored the characteristics and its import in different aspects of human life and endeavours. We ended the month by challenging us to rise up to our first love and not be caught in the web of mediocrity and lukewarmness. We sincerely believe that you are experiencing daily transformations in your life and relationships as this love begins to manifest in your life. We believe that no more tension in your marriage and family and that your society will be imparted as you begin to manifest this supernatural life you have received. That is really your portion in HaMashiach – a life of wonder.

    What is the Lord saying for the month of September 2021? There is a world where no form of impossibility exists. There is a world where you can have life as you want it. If you desire to live in health, you are healthy. If you desire to live in affluence, you are in abundant supply by supernatural supply system. There is such a world where you can have perfect peace in your marriage and family. Beloved, if there is anything that your mind can conceive, then it is possible in this world we are talking about. It is absolutely world of possibilities and this month of September will bring you to this world. A man brought a seemingly impossible case to the Master Yahushua. In His absence, he met His disciples who tried all they could to heal that boy but to no avail. In Mark 9:23 when the Master came, He said, “Yahushua said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” He was trying to let them know that there is no situation that is out of control, it is only the faith of people that are not in place. Beloved, if you can believe, all things are possible. So, faith is that world where all things are possible.

    Our prophetic focus for the Month of September 2021 therefore, is “IN HAMASHIACH MY LIFE, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE IF I CAN JUST BELIEVE” (Mark 9:23). You can look at that situation in the face and tell yourself, it is possible this month. All things are possible, if you can only believe. Our life in HaMashiach starts with faith and it takes faith to make it deliver maximally. Without faith, the power of eternal life in you cannot be stirred to deliver your desires. Whatever issue of life that is confronting you today is possible if you can simply believe. We shall explore faith in all fronts. We shall see that faith is not a mental assent where you say “I believe”. Faith is a spiritual force that can be engaged to deliver expectations. When you come into the world of possibilities of faith, it will look as though you don’t have challenges or are not confronted with the things others are facing. I welcome you to this ninth month, where faith will deliver all that you are pregnant with in destiny. Shalom!

    REMEMBER: In Hamashiach My Life, All Things Are Possible If I Can Just Believe.

    THANKSGIVING: Dear Father, thank You for the privilege of life, sound mind and body, of seeing a brand new month. Thank You for sending Yahushua HaMashiach to pay the price for my sins and for the privilege of your presence in my life by the Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit). Thank You for bringing me into this month of September that I shall experience the extraordinary order of Your manifestation in my life and destiny. Thank You for all you did for me in the month of August. Thank You for inundating us with the Word of Love. Thank You for what You are set to do in me and for me this new month. To You alone be all the glory in the precious name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    THANKFUL FOR AUGUST 2021

    Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
    Colossians 2:7 [KJV]

    Here at #WordForTodayDevotional, we devote the last day of every month as our thanksgiving day where we celebrate the grace of Yahweh that has seen us through the month.  We do not take for granted the mercies of the Lord from the first of the month to today the thirty-first.  It has been a torrent on the word of Love and we owe the Lord thanks.   We have returned today to thank Him for the success of the month of August.  In case, you cannot see anything to thank God for – I know such a person will not be reading this now; let me remind you that not all that saw 1st of August 2021 are alive today to see the 31st of August 2021.  It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed (see Lamentations 3:22).  We owe Him thanks today.  Also, our attitude of thanksgiving determines, what the next month will be for us.  Let us explore more on the benefits of thanksgiving.

    Our text says that we should abound with thanksgiving.  The Greek word translated abounding is ‘perisseuo’ meaning to superabound (in quantity or quality), be in excess, be superfluous; also (transitively) to cause to superabound or excel.  You see that the English word abounding did not capture the Greek rendering.  What the text is saying in essence is that we should superabound with quality and quantity thanksgiving, and allow our thanksgiving to be in excess.  This is beyond theology brethren.  The Lord wants us to superabound with quality thanksgiving and quantity thanksgiving.  We are not just expected to thank God but to superabound with quantity thanksgiving.  Thank Adonai until it is in excess.  Let us think a bit.  How many hours can you thank Yahweh today that will be in excess and will be of highest quality.  You see that thanksgiving is not something to be mindless about.  It is the major channel of increase in the Word.

    One of the benefits of thanksgiving is that it is the major channel of increase in the Word. Whenever, something is in short supply and there is need for increase and abundance then thanksgiving was employed.  We saw the Lord Yahushua feeding the multitude with limited resources available but with thanksgiving, it become more than enough.  In John 6:11(KJV), ‘And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.’  In case there is an expectation that is yet to materialize in the month of August, it is not late yet, if you can offer quality thanksgiving for the issue today.  Don’t murmur, nor grumble, just be full of gratitude to the Father, for that expectation and watch how it turns to your manifestation.  Congratulations and see you in September 2021!

    REMEMBER:   Thanksgiving should be in quantity and quality.

    THANKSGIVING:  Dear Father, we are not worthy of the least of Your mercies.  What shall we say for bringing us to the end of this great month, no loss, no tears, we saw goodness and mercies, abundance of blessings in front and at the back.  Thank You for the salvation of my soul.  Thank You for the continuous flow of Your Word on this platform.  Thank You for Your preservation, provision and supplies.  Thank You for encounter with Your love this month.  To You alone be all the glory in the Name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE:  Having returned with thanksgiving today, I declare that everything with your name on it still hanging be released now.  There shall be no carry-over of August releases in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    PASSED FROM DEATH TO LIFE

    We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
    I John 3:14 (KJV)

    How do we know that we are saved? How do you know that you have eternal life now? Because you attend church? NO! Because you pray in tongues? NO! Because you can preach? NO! Because you read the Bible? NO! At the point you believe and confess Yahushua HaMashiach as Lord and Personal Saviour, you are saved. But how do you know it? How does it become your present hour reality? 1 John 3:14 (BBE) says, ‘We are conscious that we have come out of death into life because of our love for the brothers. He who has no love is still in death.’ The love for the brethren is the acid test of eternal life abiding in your spirit. If you don’t have the love for the brethren in your heart, then you are still in death. Isn’t that striking? The New English Translation of same scripture says that ‘… the one who does not love remains in death.’ You meet people that are so hard-hearted even though they claim to be believers and born again and you wonder how manage. They have zero bowel of mercy towards the brethren. 1 John 3:17 (BBE) puts it this way, ‘But if a man has this world’s goods, and sees that his brother is in need, and keeps his heart shut against his brother, how is it possible for the love of God to be in him?’

    See the season we are right now around the world is very critical and many needs food to survive. Seeing your neighbour and his/her family starving to death and your heart is not moved to extend the love of Yahushua to them, the Bible is asking you, how is it possible for the love of Yahweh to be in you? The Yahweh-kind of love is the evidence that you have passed from spiritual death to eternal life. Your speaking in tongues is not the evidence of your spirituality. Your self-righteousness is not the evidence of your right standing with the Father. The Lord Yahushua told the story of a young man who came to Him and asked ‘what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?’ (see Matthew 19:16 KJV). Take note of the question this young man asked. He was inquiring what he could do to pass from spiritual death to eternal life. Yahushua asked him to go and keep the commandments and in response he said that he had observed the commandments from when he was young. Then Yahushua said ‘…go and sell what you have and give to the poor,…’ (see Matthew 19:21 KJV). Yahushua was testing his love barometer. That means that until you pass the love test, you are not a candidate for eternal life.

    1 John 3:16 (KJV) says, ‘Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.’ It was love that made Yahweh to lay down His life for us in Yahushua and He expects us to do same because that love is in us at new birth. In 1 John 3:18 (KJV), the word says, ‘My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.’ Our love must be in deed and in truth. It is not a lips service but a vital love. That is the only evidence that something has happened to you in terms of eternal life being imparted to you. Let us allow our world be saturated with this love and the supernatural shall begin to become natural to us.

    REMEMBER: The Yahweh-kind of love is the evidence of eternal life abiding in you.
