FAITH FACILITATORS (PART 3): LOVE

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision? but faith which worketh by love.
Galatians 5:6 (KJV)

There was a time a lawyer came to Yahushua and asked Him, “Which is the great commandment in the law?” And Yahushua answered in Matthew 22:37-40: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Every plan of Yahushua for you anchors on the statement “Thou shalt love the Lord your God with all thy heart.” If this is missing, then your foundation is not in place. It is the foundation for a fruitful life as a believer in HaMashiach.

FAITH FACILITATORS (PART 2): HAVING NO ALTERNATIVES

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
Psalms 62:5 (KJV)

When it stops being Yahweh only, your expectation will be frustrated. Why? Because Isaiah 42:8 says, “I am the Lord; that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” Except you let Him have it all, He’s not interested at all! Anything you desire, and for which you have an alternative source, makes Yahweh withdraw. He is a jealous Yahweh! He withdraws when anybody comes on the scene to help Him. So, He warns us in Exodus 20:4-5, “Thou shalt not make unto thee any grave image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.” Graven images represent personalities, certificates, self, etc. Every time it stops being Yahweh alone, you have missed it.

FAITH FACILITATORS (PART 1): EXISTING WITH A GOOD CONSCIENCE (D)

And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
Acts 24:16 (KJV)

To wrap up on conscience, we are going to see how that it takes exercising your conscience to maintain a Good Conscience. A good conscience is exercised. Paul told Felix that in our text. Our conscience, like our muscles, must be exercised. If our conscience lies dormant and is not exercised, then it becomes an evil conscience. Hebrews 5:13,14 describes this: “For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

Each of our physical senses can be exercised to an amazing degree of proficiency. People can be taught to hear better or to see clearer. Some people have an amazing sense of touch. Even the sense of taste can be trained to a marvelous degree of proficiency. In the same way our spiritual senses—our spiritual sight, our spiritual hearing, our spiritual taste—must be exercised if we’re going to have discernment, and this involves conscience.

FAITH FACILITATORS (PART 1): EXISTING WITH A GOOD CONSCIENCE (C)

And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
John 8:9 (KJV)

Today we are going to see that it takes light from the Word of Yahweh for us to have a good conscience. A Good Conscience Is Enlightened. A good conscience is taught by the Word of Yahweh and guided by the Spirit of Yahweh. Romans 12:2 (KJV) says, ‘And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.’ For us not to conform to the system and standards of this world, we must renew our minds with the Word of Yahweh. An unrenewed mind cannot produce a good conscience – impossible. Constantly renewing our minds with the Word is the cure to weak and defiled conscience. The Word strengthens our conscience. It also cleanses it (see Ephesians 5:26). While salvation deals with a sinful and evil conscience, renewing our mind with the Word of Yahweh is the answer to a weak and defiled conscience. When all of these wrong types of consciences are done away it, a pure and good conscience emerges.

FAITH FACILITATORS (PART 1): EXISTING WITH A GOOD CONSCIENCE (B)

Today we are going to see how a good conscience helps us to be effective in our faith walk. Let us outline ways a good conscience effectively helps faith:

A good conscience effectively keeps us on course. “As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions rather than godly edifying which is in faith, so do. Now the end [object] of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned, from which some, having swerved, have turned aside unto vain jangling” (1 Timothy 1:3-6). Paul warned Timothy to stick to the doctrines of the Word of Yahweh. They help us develop a good conscience, and a good conscience will keep us on course. Verse 6 uses the phrase “have turned aside.” This phrase means they have missed the mark, they have swerved, they have gone off course. You see, Yahweh has a course for each of us, and we had better stay on that course. If we don’t stay on course, we won’t achieve the purposes Yahweh has for us. A good conscience keeps us from going off course to fables and foolish arguments.

TO GET THE YAHWEH-KIND OF FAITH (7): KNOW THE AUTHORITY IN THE NAME OF YAHUSHUA

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mark 16:17-18 (KJV)

We should know that authority as a reality in our own lives. The authority you have in the Name of Yahushua is just as though some wealthy man gave you the power to use his name in an unlimited capacity. What effect would it have if he gave you a legal document? What if he said to use this legal document in order to supply every one of your needs? What if you could do anything you wanted to do in that man’s name! Well, Yahweh has given us the power of attorney to use the Name of Yahushua. This means we have power in that Name over Satan and all the gates of hell. Yahushua said, “. . . In my name … they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (see Mark 16:17,18). Yahushua said, “… whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you” (John 15:16). We have authority to use that Name. The Name of Yahushua carries authority on this earth. It is not a matter of faith, but it is a matter of knowing your legal rights in HaMashiach and taking your rightful place as a son or daughter. It is a matter of taking your place in carrying out Yahushua’s will in the earth. Getting us to cooperate with Yahweh is the biggest problem!

TO GET THE YAHWEH-KIND OF FAITH (6): KNOW THE REALITY OF OUR FELLOWSHIP WITH THE FATHER

That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
I John 1:3 (KJV)

The very core reason for redemption is fellowship. 1 CORINTHIANS 1:9 says, ‘God is faithful, by whom ye were called UNTO THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SON JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.’ Notice, you were called unto fellowship with Yahweh’s Son, Yahushua HaMashiach. The Greek word for fellowship in our text is ‘koinonia’. It means joint participation, communion, intercourse, intimacy. This is literally saying that we are in intercourse with the Father, and with His Son Yahushua HaMashiach. This is the highest honour for the human spirit. The highest honour that the Father has ever conferred upon us is to be “joint-fellowshippers” with Himself, with His Son, and with the Holy Spirit in carrying out His dream for the redemption of the human race. But relationship without fellowship is an insipid thing. It is like the marriage relationship without love or fellowship. Fellowship is the very mother of faith. And fellowship is the parent of joy. It is the source of victory. And Yahweh has called us individually into fellowship with His Son. If you have fellowship with Yahweh and you are walking in the light as He is in the light, then prayer becomes one of the sweetest and one of the greatest assets to which we have become a heirs in HaMashiach.

TO GET THE YAHWEH-KIND OF FAITH (5): KNOW THE REALITY OF THE INDWELLING PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
I John 4:4 (KJV)

Of all the mighty truths connected with redemption, this is the apex: Yahweh Himself, after He recreated us and made us new creatures and made us His own, is actually making our bodies His home! When you are born again, it is more than an experience. The Holy Ghost, the Third Person of the Godhead, a divine Personality, comes to live in you. In fact, the Bible even goes so far as to say that Yahweh Himself is living in you. 2 CORINTHIANS 6:16 says, ‘16 … for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell IN them, and walk IN them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.’ Yahweh no longer dwells in the man-made Holy of Holies. Through the new birth, our bodies have become His temple.

1 CORINTHIANS 6:19, 20 says, ‘19 What? know ye not that YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE of the Holy Ghost which is IN you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.’ We need to become “God-inside minded.” In other words, we need to just simply take Yahweh at His Word. We need to believe and act like the Bible is true when it says, “. . . greater is he that is IN you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4)! “He that is in the world” is the god of this world, Satan (2 Corinthians 4:4). But, thank Elohim, He who is in us, the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead, is greater than he who is in the world! Thank Elohim, Yahweh indwells us as believers, through the Person of the Holy Spirit, today too. Because of the indwelling Presence of the Holy Spirit, it should be a common practice in the Church today for believers to say in every crisis of life, “I am more than a conqueror.” However, the truth is, making positive confessions based on our rights and privileges in HaMashiach is almost an unknown practice in the church world today.

TO GET THE YAHWEH-KIND OF FAITH (4): KNOW THE REALITY OF OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IN HAMASHIACH

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
II Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)

This area of righteousness is one of the major arsenals of the devil against the faith of most believer in HaMashiach because they lack the understanding of our righteousness in HaMashiach. Firstly, at new born, you were born righteous because you took after your father. It is same DNA in your father Yahweh that runs in you. Yahweh is righteous and that nature of righteousness is what you were born with (see 1 Peter 1:23; John 1:13). At new born, you are not trying to be righteous, you are born that way. The challenge for most people is that this nature of righteousness is only in your spirit because man is a spirit which has a soul and lives in a body. Your soul/mind was not born again. Your body was not born again. So without educating your mind with the word of Yahweh and disciplining your body, you can never manifest this righteousness practically (see Romans 12:1-2; I Corinthians 9:27). In Yahushua HaMashiach you are perfect, righteous and holy. You are complete in Him (see Colossians 2:10). You must educate your mind and discipline your body to conform to this new nature in your spirit. Sometimes, you may fall short but as soon as that happens, confess your sin and fall back in line with that your nature of righteousness.

TO GET THE YAHWEH-KIND OF FAITH (3): KNOW THE REALITY OF YOUR NEW CREATION STATUS

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away? behold, all things are become new.
II Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

Our redemption has a legal side which is very crucial for you to understand in order to stand in liberty and command of faith. You need to know that in the mind of Justice, we were recreated in Yahushua HaMashiach. This means that the justice for sin demands death. When HaMashiach dead, the new creation died in and with Yahushua HaMashiach. In the death of Yahushua HaMashiach on the cross, the demand of Justice was fully satisfied. Halleluyah! That is not the end of the Story. Yahushua HaMashiach went to hell on our behalf and collected the key that Adam surrendered to Satan back. He was raised up on the third day with Zoe – the Yahweh-kind of life and as many as surrender to Him, He quickens (recreates and gives life) to their spirits.

You should also know the reality of the new birth vitally for yourself. You should know and understand that the moment you accepted Yahushua HaMashiach as your Saviour and confessed Him as your Lord, you were recreated. That is when the legal act of redemption, which was wrought in Yahushua’ death, burial, and resurrection became a reality in your own life. In the new birth, you have in your spirit the very life and the very nature of Yahweh. The new birth is not just an experience. It is not a religion, and it is not joining a church. It is the actual rebirth of our spirits. We are the very sons and daughters of Almighty Yahweh. He is our very own Father; we are His very own children. We know that we have passed out of Satan’s dominion – spiritual death – into the realm of life through Yahushua HaMashiach. We were born into the family. You cannot join the family; you have to be born into it.
