THE GOSPEL DEFINED

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
ROMANS 10:9 (KJV)

You have been hearing of the term “gospel” and sometimes, we may get acquainted with a word thinking that it means something only to discover that we have been wrong about the meaning we have come to ascribe to the word. The word translated as gospel in the New Testament is the Greek “evaggelion” meaning “a good message; good news” and the verb “evangelizo“ meaning “to bring or announce good news”. Both words are derived from the noun angelos meaning “messenger”. The gospel is the story that tells humanity that Yahweh has finished the work of salvation in and through HaMashiach (the Christ). The gospel is the good news that Yahweh in came into the world in the person of Yahushua HaMashiach, was born of virgin birth by the power of the Holy Spirit, died, was buried, resurrected and ascended to the right hand of the Father and that salvation and eternal life is available in His Name. In I Corinthians 15:1-4, the Apostle Paul enumerated these basic ingredients of the gospel. The gospel is the good news that in the Lord Yahushua we are not just forgiven sinners but we are now new creations with the very life of Yahweh in us (see II Corinthians 5:17, 21). In the Lord Yahushua, we are made the righteousness of Yahweh. In the Lord Yahushua, we are heirs of Yahweh and joint-heirs with HaMashiach (the Christ) (see Romans 8:17). In HaMashiach, we have the power of attorney to use the almighty name of the Lord Yahushua to reign and rule on earth (see Mark 16:17).

THE ONLY REMEDY – THE GOSPEL

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 3:36 [KJV]

Genesis chapters 3 shows us the fall of man. The consequence of that fall amongst other things was inheriting the destiny of damnation of the devil. If the devil is your lord, then you would be where your lord ends up. Isn’t that logical? Same is true if the Lord Yahushua is your Lord, then wherever He is, is where you will be also (see John 14:3). The fall of man condemned man to the lake of fire at the end of the age and in the interim to hell. Humanity’s condemnation to the lake of fire has nothing to do essentially to the sin of each individual. It has everything to do with the nature that humanity inherited from Adam. If it is possible to find one adult that is sinless, that human will still land in hell because he/she is a human being created with the nature of sin. This is very important for those who are very conscious of their self righteousness. There are those who believe that they are not sinners because they are not committing any known sin to them, but the fact that they were born by the coming together of a man and a woman has implicated them to the same condemnation of sinners. But the reality is that all have sinned (see Romans 3:23).

THE DESTINY OF MAN AFTER THE FALL

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:15 (KJV)

The end point for everyone that has not done something about their soul is the lake of fire. No matter how great on earth the person is. No matter what he/she has achieved on earth. When you close your eyes in death or at the close of the age as recorded in Revelation chapter 20, you shall be cast into the lake of fire. This is not to scare you but to inform you. This is not a religious talk but the reality of the human person. Just as you cannot deny the reality of physical death, even though you do not want people to die, so also you cannot deny the reality of the lake of fire. When man fell, he was condemned with the devil because at the fall, he submitted to the devil and acquired his nature. So, man was united with the devil at the fall and acquired his destiny also. The destiny of the devil is the lake of fire (see Revelation 20:10). When man submitted to the devil, his destiny also became the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15). Until each person personally does something about this destiny, nothing will be done. Until you personally respond to the Word of Yahweh and effect the change of your eternal destiny, nothing will change to that effect.

THE VALUE OF A SOUL

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 [KJV]

The value of a thing is determined amongst others by the price you have to pay for it. So, cost determines value. The value of the soul of man can be seen by the cost our Heavenly Father paid to buy it back from sin and Satan. The soul of man is made to live forever. The Soul of man is what will finally end up in heaven or in hell/lake of fire. The breathe of Yahweh at creation was what gave birth to the soul of man (see Genesis 2:7). So, the soul of man is a spiritual reality. Man is not a body. Flesh and blood cannot not inherit the kingdom of Yahweh (see I Corinthians 15:50). Yahweh created man to be like Him and to be His Authority on Earth. However, man handed this authority to the devil, selling himself as a slave to the devil (see Luke 4:6). Man thwarted the plan of Yahweh in collaboration with Satan. Yahweh in His mercy hashed a redemption plan for man. It is important to understand that nothing in heaven or on earth could do anything about redeeming man because the cost is absolutely not affordable by them.

Happy New Month Beloved! Welcome to the month of April 2023, the first month of the second quarter of the year of the #DependableYahweh. It is vital for me to remind you today that we serve a God who does not lie and who cannot lie. What He says, He does. So success in life is discovering what Yahweh is doing and becoming a partner with Him. You would not need to fight or struggle because Yahweh’s agenda is completely out of the reach of all resisting forces of hell. I believe that you are already baptised with the Spirit of faith that makes you more than a conqueror in life. To Yahweh alone be all the glory.

THANKFUL FOR MARCH 2023

Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:7 [KJV]

Today is the end of March 2023. From the 1st of March till today, we have seen the goodness and mercies of the Lord in all ramifications of our lives and for that we are most grateful to the Lord Yahweh. We have come today to thank Him for the success of the month of March. In case, you cannot see anything to thank Yahweh for – I know such a person will not be reading this now; let me remind you that not all that saw 1st of March 2023 are alive today to see the 31st of March 2023. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed (see Lamentations 3:22). We owe Him thanks today. For the victories of faith in the month of March, we owe Elohim thanks. Also, our attitude of thanksgiving determines, what the next month will be for us. Let us explore more on the benefits of thanksgiving.

THE SPIRIT OF FAITH

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
II Corinthians 4:13 (KJV)

There is the spirit of Faith. The spirit of faith is a speaking spirit that enables you to speak the word of Yahweh before any situation. The spirit of faith empowers you to say what is written in spite of the happenings. The spirit of faith is faith operating from your spirit. It is faith irrespective of the climate insisting for a turnaround and not repudiating until it is delivered. There is a difference between the word of Faith and the Spirit of Faith. The Word of Faith gives you light to enable you act on it. The Spirit of Faith moves you to act on the word. The Spirit drives you (see Mark 1:12). When the spirit of Faith is in operation, reasoning is deactivated. The Spirit of Faith drives you to achieve the purpose of Yahweh and will not stop until it is achieved. In Numbers chapters 13 and 14, we saw the story of the twelve spies sent by Moses and their report. All twelve of them saw the same thing, but they reported differently. What was the difference? In Numbers 14:24 says, ‘But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.’ That another spirit is the spirit of faith. From this story, let us briefly outline what the spirit of offers:

IGNITING FAITH BY PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT

Praying in tongues is a mystery that delivers so many dividends to the practitioner. In 1st Corinthians 14: 2, we see that praying in the tongues of the Spirit is a direct line to God that cuts off all satanic activities and interferences. Let us outline what speaking in the tongues of the Holy Spirit holds for the believer:

FAITH IS THE VICTORY

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith

I John 5:4 KJV

There are things that are automatic. Whenever faith is in place, victory is automatic. Our text states that FAITH is the victory. But the way in which we often interpret it tends to skew the meaning. Most of us think that we are being told that if we have enough faith we will press through to the victory. In short, we think that it is faith that carries us into any victory. But wait. Read this verse carefully. It really does not say that our faith carries us into any victory. Rather, this verse states that faith IS the victory. Do you see that? It is not an insignificant distinction. Faith itself – the reality of faith in us – THAT IS THE VICTORY. Anything else that comes about because of this faith is not the victory, but the faith itself IS the victory. God is here telling us that if faith is established in us that this faith IS the victory. It is our victory, yes, but really, it is GOD’S victory – in us. The faith itself IS the victory. The faith isn’t UNTO the victory. The faith IS the victory. In other words, the existence of faith in us is evidence of His victory in us. The two are as one, for the verse says, “This is the victory….our faith.”

FAITHLESSNESS IS VERY TRAGEDIC

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved? but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mark 16:16 (KJV)

Faith is not just a treasure but not possessing faith is a tragedy. It is very dangerous to be faithless. It is deadly to exist without faith. It is calamitous to function in life outside of faith in Yahweh. One of the motivations of pursuing faith is not just for the victories that it holds for you but also for the dangers that existing without it holds for you. Firstly, without faith, your eternity is in the lake of fire (see Revelation 21:8), then, you exist without eternal life on earth (see John 3:36), then a life full of natural limitations and frustrations (see Matthew 8:26), then a life barren of the help of Yahweh (see 2 Chronicles 25:8), also a life at the mercy of Satan and his agents (see Luke 13:16), etc. The list is almost inexhaustible but for space, we shall be explaining the above-mentioned.
