    WAYS YOU CAN GET INVOLVED (2): PREACHING THE GOSPEL

    And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
    Mark 16:20 (KJV)

    There is nothing sophisticated or special about preaching.  Every believer is called to preach.  To preach simply means to proclaim, to declare, to publish; to herald.  When you talk to your colleague about his eternal destiny, and what Jesus has done for him, that is preaching. Preaching is not for special people.  It is not for pastors, evangelists, etc.  No!  A thousand times No! They were a minimum of 120 people that Jesus gave the command to go and preach.  They were not all apostles or teachers.  They were just believers.  Some of you go for lunch with your colleagues and all the while you are talking about your football clubs; that is preaching about your football clubs.  You could even hear some people arguing about their favourite players from a mile away during lunch break.  Beloved, that is exactly what preaching is all about.  Instead of talking what does not have eternal value, why not talk about Jesus Christ.  The time is very short.  Make the most of every opportunity to help someone make a decision about where he/she would spend eternity.

    You don’t even need to go far.  Your barber and stylist; your neighbour; your customer and even acquaintances are all targets.  Jesus Christ came for every soul.  There is no soul that is less important to God.  By all means preach the gospel.  You don’t need too many scriptures to preach the gospel.  We are called to be witnesses.  A witness is someone that has experienced something and is telling about that experience.  If you are genuinely born again, you already have an experience to share with someone.  “I used to be this and that and I surrendered to Jesus and my life took a turn for the great and here I am today; come to Jesus Christ, He can do same in your life”.  That is being a witness.  It does not require plenty grammar and quoting of scriptures.  You do not have any excuse not to preach the gospel.

    Do you know that your potentials as a Christian only comes out when you are on the mission of the gospel?  You carry the power of the Holy Spirit at the baptism of the Holy Spirit but that power only comes out when you are sharing the gospel with others.  Then you can say “in the name of Jesus be healed” and that happens.  You can command demons to come out of those they are oppressing and they obey you.  What otherwise wouldn’t cross your mind that you can do starts manifesting when you are on the move for the gospel.  Another thing is that all that others are running after in life begins to run after you.  You cannot be in need when you are genuinely on the go for the kingdom, preaching the gospel, never!  All your needs are supernaturally taken care of.  Even things you did not ask for begins to come to pass in your life.  Commit to preaching the gospel today and see how everything in life aligns to you.  A family was always in crisis, no peace.  Until they subscribed to the call of the gospel to go preach and as they started preaching as a lifestyle, they were talking one day among themselves, they started wondering when last they had issues and could not remember.  Peace like river had replaced; all that by obeying the call to preach.  Beloved, all your answers to all your prayers are in obeying the call to preach the gospel.  Shalom!

    REMEMBER:   The Lord Jesus commanded you to preach, obey!

    PRAYER:  Dear Father, thank you for your word to me today.  Burn in my heart today the fire of preaching the gospel and according Matthew 6:33, I receive all that others are running after added to me in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE:  You are a great soul-winner, I decree that the gospel potentials in you come alive now in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

    WAYS YOU CAN GET INVOLVED (1): SOUL TARGETED INTERCESSION

    Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
    Colossians 4:12 (KJV)

    We are going to see how the individual believer can be involved in the gospel successfully. There is what each one can do on daily basis to see that people in his/her world are brought to the obedience of the gospel.  Standing aloof on the sideline would be your choice not because you cannot be involved but because you have chosen to be irresponsible to your primary assignment.  Today, please understand that you can be involved in soul-targeted intercessions. This is making a list of people who are unsaved in your sphere of contacts, and then taking them up in intercession.  Why is interceding for the unsaved necessary?  Every unsaved is a prisoner of the strong man.  Jesus says that you cannot go into a strong man’s house and plunder him without first binding him (see Matthew 12:29).  The unsaved brother/sister is a prisoner of the strong man Satan and He would never let go his captives except a stronger than he comes and binds him.  Glory to the Lord, in Christ Jesus, beloved you are the stronger man than Satan because greater is He that is in you (see I John 4:4).  The least born again person if there is anything like that is stronger than the devil because the born again person has the power of attorney to use the ever conquering name of Jesus against Satan and he must bow.

    You make a list of those in your sphere who must be saved and you start pressing on the altar of prayer for their release from the captivity of Satan who has held them against their will.  Never approach anyone with the gospel who you have not pressed for their release in prayers.  You do not have any right to talk to any person about God who you have not talked to God about. The major work of the gospel is on the altar of intercession because it is not a grammar warfare but a spiritual warfare.  Apostle Paul says that his preaching was not in enticing words of human wisdom but in the demonstration of the Holy Spirit and Power (see I Corinthians 2:4).  The demonstration of the Holy Spirit and power is birthed at the place of intense intercession.

    No matter how busy you are beloved, you can pray.  One powerful thing about prayer is that you can pray almost everywhere and doing anything.  I Thessalonians 5:17 encourages us to pray without ceasing.  You can be on your job while praying for the people in your list that they are positioned for the gospel and that their hearts are drawn to obey the gospel; that the hold of Satan over their hearts and minds are broken in the name of Jesus; that God arranges whatever means that will get their attention to the gospel, etc.  As someone that is baptised in the Holy Spirit, you can pray in tongues under your breathe anywhere and everywhere no matter what is going on.  No matter how old or young that you are, you can pray.  You can take up mission fields and begin praying that the territory is taken by the gospel, pulling down forces standing against the gospel.  When you start seeking the interest of the kingdom like this, you are setting yourself up for an invasion of what others are running around for.  Do you know that you can get promoted before your colleagues and even above your seniors just doing this soul-targeted intercession kingdom business?  This is a powerful way to endear yourself to the Lord for the release of ministry angels to cater for your needs without even making a single request about them.  Get on key today and see how awesome it is to do kingdom business. Shalom!

    REMEMBER:  You have no right to talk to a person about the gospel who you have not talked to God about.

    PRAYER:  Blessed Father, thank You for your word to me today.  Let the burden for the salvation of the unsaved rest upon me today like never before in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE:  I decree burden for the salvation of the unsaved upon you today in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

    My beloved, stop running around people. Stop showing mortal men that without them you are doomed. Those people you are looking up to are the reasons why you have not seen the Hand of God. Listen, Jehovah says that cursed is that person who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm (Jeremiah 17:5-8). You don’t need anybody to get to where you are going in life. You only need your trust in Jehovah and He will bring the necessary men, materials and opportunities. You have two eyes, can you make one to look up and one to look down at the same time?     WHAT IS PERSONAL EVANGELISM/SOUL-WINNING? 

    And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.
    Acts 16:13 [KJV]

    Personal evangelism is One person talking to another person about his need found only in Jesus Christ, with the purpose of bringing him to a decision.  Soul-winning is all activities geared towards bringing someone to a decision for Christ and helping that person to be established in a local church.  Evangelism is going into the field to harvest the soul and all the activities that ensures that the soul is established in Church is soul-winning.  Soul-winning is a personal work which include:

    1. Discussing the gospel or studying God’s word with a friend.
    2. Giving someone a tract on a particular subject.
    3. Telling and showing your neighbour the happiness of being a Christian.
    4. Inviting someone to services with you (compelling invitation).
    5. Canvassing for a gospel meeting.
    6. Teaching a Bible class in someone’s home.
    7. Visiting the home of a visitor to worship services (follow-up).
    8. Gathering your neighbours into your home for a Bible class.
    9. Bringing a friend to the church’s Bible classes.
    10. Telling a fellow-worker (student) about Jesus, the way to heaven.
    11. Planting the word in someone’s heart.
    12. Writing a letter to a loved one expressing your interest about his/her soul.
    13. Having someone with whom you are studying or with whom you would like to have a study into your home for a meal.
    14. Encouraging a new member.
    15. Exhorting one another to assemble in the scheduled services of the church.
    16. Teaching, reproving and rebuking the worldly, the indifferent and the wayward among those who claim to be Christians.
    17. Encouraging and strengthening the faint-hearted and comforting the bereaved among the family of God.
    18. Visiting and admonishing those who forsake the assemblies.
    19. Bringing cheer to and helping meet the needs of those who are elderly, sick, hospitalized or shut-in.
    20. Volunteering for tasks that need to be done within the congregation: building maintenance, lawn care, etc.
    21. Seeking and saving the lost.

    We outlined the preceding so you can reference them.  The preceding is the activities needed to be effective in soul-winning efforts.  The world is the harvest field and the Church is the barn. When you win a soul, you need to bring that harvest into the barn for preservation.  In Church, the soul is taught the word of God by which he/she grows into maturity in Christ and is released to win others.  Make sure that your converts are established in Church before you leave them alone.  A soul that is not established in the Church is likely to be lured back to the world by Satan and his agents.

    Soul-winning is warfare.  It is walking into the devil’s territory and leading a captive to freedom and safety in his broad view.  That is why it is an activity that is powered by a lot of prayer and fasting because it is warfare.  The good news is that all of heaven is backing the soul-winner so you cannot fail.  You are too loaded to fail.  All of hell starts to quake when you move to talk to a soul because at that instant, a captive can be let go.  Don’t ever allow your circumstance to discourage you.  Your change of story is tied to your faithfulness in rescuing souls from the jug of the devil.  

    REMEMBER:  Soul-winning includes all activities that help in winning a soul and establishing them in church.

    CONFESSION:   I am a soul winner.  I am doing the work of an evangelist, racking in multitude of souls into the kingdom on daily basis.  Everyone I target must be released from the clutches of darkness. Glory to God!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE:   Everything discouraging you from engaging in soul-winning is cursed today.  I decree divine intervention in your life from today in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

    YOU ARE THE WATCHMAN

    Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
    Ezekiel 3:17 [KJV]

    A watchman is a guard who keeps watch. As a believer; one who has received the kingdom in his heart, you are a watchman over the people in your world. God is holding you accountable as a son; one who is fully developed to take authority and responsibility over your world. God is saying to you today, “Son/daughter of man, I have made you a watchman unto your world”. A watchman is an intercessor who stands before God on behalf of the people and before the people on behalf of God. You are a watchman and God expects you to inform everyone in your world that doomsday is at hand. The day that God will judge the world by Christ is at hand (see Acts 17:31). But do people in your world know this? Do they know that the age is closing up? Do they know that it doesn’t matter how long or short you live on earth, one day you will open your eyes in the zones where time is no more? How can they know it if you refuse to tell them? They can not hear except their watchman takes responsibility to fulfill his/her ministry of warning them to escape the imminent danger. Beloved, you are a watchman God has placed in your sphere of contacts to warn them. Christianity is not a religion. It is a call to escape the impending doom.

    Have you thought about it that God didn’t come in Christ to establish a religion? You cannot be talking about religion when lives are at stake. God knew that the eternal destiny of man was at stake. Igbo adage says “the person whose house is on fire, does not pursue rats”. God is in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. God knows what is at stake – the soul of man perishing in hell. He did something about it. He gave Jesus Christ to be the propitiation for our sins. Now the onus is on you to tell those who haven’t heard. Tell those who are in the valley of decision. Let them decide to accept or reject the offer of salvation. You are a watchman to warn all in your sphere of contacts. Jesus says as the Father has sent Him so He has sent us (see John 20:21). Will you break the chain? Somebody probably told you and got you saved. Someone did to you what God is asking you to do to someone else.

    There is a consequence for failure. Hear what God says in Ezekiel 3:18, ‘When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.’ Can you imagine God requiring the blood of people in your world at your hand just because you failed to let them hear the gospel enough to either accept or reject it. If you are a medical doctor, you are a watchman medical doctor who God is expecting to tell all his/her patients, family, friends and colleagues that “hey, have you heard, doomsday is approaching fast, have you guaranteed your escape?” and from there you share the gospel with them. Same applies to you no matter what your career/business is. God is counting on you to be responsible. Selah!

    REMEMBER: God is expecting you to warn everyone in your world of the impending doom.

    CONFESSION: I believe that God came in the person of Christ, paid the penalty for my sins and provided eternal life for me and everyone in my sphere. I am committed to warning everyone that doomsday is at hand. So help me Lord!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I command that your heart is set on fire for the gospel today. No blood of any soul will be required at your hand for negligence in Jesus name Amen!

    SOUL-WINNING IS YOUR PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT ON EARTH

    And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
    Mark 16:15 (KJV)

    When we say that something is of primary importance, we mean to say that it ranks first and that it is of first importance or value; that it is direct and immediate rather than secondary.  If it is primary then it is the most important element of all considerations.  As a believer, soul-winning is your primary assignment on earth.  When you surrendered your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ, He would have called you home immediately; but He chose to leave you here on earth, why?  It is because when you are born again, you become the Christ that your world sees; you become the extension of divinity to your sphere of contacts.  You are now the light of your world; the salt of your world.  They are lost and hopeless without you.  Your presence produces preservation and illumination to your sphere of contacts.  The instrument of that illumination is the gospel of Jesus Christ.  2 Corinthians 4:4 talks about the light of the glorious gospel of Christ.  When you share the gospel, you are shining the light to your sphere of contacts.  Your business/career is a vehicle to convey you to the people in your world.  Your career/business is not your primary assignment.  It is utter misplacement of priority to make your career/business as your primary assignment.  Your business/career is only a point of contact for you to communicate the gospel to your world.

    Our Lord Jesus commanded us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. You probably cannot go to all the world but you can go to your world.  Your world is your sphere of contacts – your family, friends, colleagues, associates, and people you meet on a day to day basis.  Beloved, your goal should be to present the gospel in such a clear term that everyone in your sphere has the opportunity to make a decision either to obey the gospel or not.  Remember, you can persuade, you can compel but you cannot force someone to accept the gospel.  Once you have done your best and the person has understood what the gospel is all about and still rejects it, then you are free from that person’s blood.  You can invite a colleague to church.  You can hand a waiter a handbill.  You can talk to your mechanic.  You can ensure that all your family that benefits from your resources are compelled to be in church.  Everyone under your roof must be made to appear in church.  All these efforts is to give them the opportunity to hear the gospel and make a decision for their eternity.

    Have you lived with a misplaced priority?  Have you focused on your job to the detriment of the gospel?  Have you been ashamed of sharing the gospel with your business partners?  It is foolishness to be shameful of what is gainful.  The most important thing on earth is the soul of man.  If you are too ashamed to help someone escape the horrors of eternity without God, then you are the most foolish person around.  You are callous and if it is not too make to say even wicked.  A believer that is not committed to sharing the gospel to his/her world is beyond words despicable.  If you understand that everyone without Christ is heading to an eternity in flames of hell and you do nothing, you are beyond words wicked.  Please understand today that preaching the gospel is your primary assignment here on earth and it holds the key to how much divine intervention and manifestation you can experience in your own life.  Selah!

    REMEMBER:   Preaching the gospel with your lifestyle and words is your first and most important task on earth.

    CONFESSION:  I am an ambassador of Christ on earth dispensing eternal verities to the peoples of the world.  I do not fail.  I am the light bearer both in the way I live and in the words that I speak.  Christ is seen in me and through me.  Hallelujah!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE:  I decree that the channels of your spirit open up to your primary assignment to the gospel in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • TUESDAY OCTOBER 6 PROPHETIC RELEASE

    You know that report you are carrying around is not yours. The Word says that He Himself took your infirmities and carried your sorrows (Matthew 8:17; 2 Peter 2:24; Isaiah 53:1-5). If that is true and you can believe it then you can’t have what was taken away about 2000 years ago. Whatever that report is, it has changed, go back and get retested. I decree the root of that infirmity uprooted in your life now by the fire of the Holy Spirit. Be healed now from the hair of your head to the soles of your feet in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

    THE TIME IS SHORT

    Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
    Revelation 12:12 (KJV)

    The devil knows that he has but a short time but unfortunately so many Christians do not know that they have but a short time on this side of eternity.  Today we are going to look at prophetic timeline and see why soul-winning is so urgent at such a time as this.  God gave Daniel a vision of what He will do in the end times and it is commonly referred to as the seventy weeks of Daniel (Dan. 9:23-27).  The seventy weeks of Daniel is the prophetic timeline of Israel as a nation and people.  Whatever God is doing in the world today, Israel is the point of contact for it. God’s agenda is in relation to the covenant He made with the ancestors of Israel, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  In prophetic language, one week is equal to seven years.  So seventy weeks is equal to 490 years.  God said that seventy weeks is given to Israel to finish transgression.  This seventy weeks started from the 7th year of King Artaxerxes being April 3, 458 BC (Gregorian calendar).  From 458 BC to the time the Messiah was cut off around April 3, 33 AD was 69 weeks.  This vision of Daniel and the one given to Nebuchadnezzar are one and points to the same end time events.  From the Vision of Nebuchadnezzar, the ankle of that image which prophetically is referred as the “Parenthesis” is the times of the gentles which is the age of the Church.  One week was remaining from the vision of Daniel which represents the time (seven years of Anti-Christ) of Jacob’s trouble when the Anti-Christ will break the treaty with Israel and unleash persecution which will culminate in the second return of the Messiah.

    From the time that the Messiah was cut off to His second coming is 2000 years.  Some Theologians believe that AD 33 was the time the Messiah was cut off.  If we go by that date, 2033 will be 2000 years from that cutting off.  The Church of Jesus Christ on earth today is the restraining forces that is withholding the manifestation of the Anti-Christ (II Thessalonians 2:3-12).  The stage however, is set for the Anti-Christ, the only thing remaining is the rapture of the Church.  Once the Church is taken away at rapture, the man of sin (the Anti-Christ) will be revealed.  Jesus Christ is coming back after 2000 years according to the prophetic scriptures and before that time, the Anti-Christ will be here seven years.  It is towards the end of the seven years with the time of intense heat for Israel that their Messiah will emerge, destroying the Anti-Christ and beginning the 1000 years reign from Jerusalem.

    We are in 2020.  Remove seven years from 2033, you have 6 years.  If the dates are anything to go by, then we have between now and maximum 6-10 years to expect the rapture of the church.  Should every living soul around the world not hear that time is running out to make a decision about their eternity?  If you are born again, you should preach the gospel with such velocity because time is short.  If you are not born again, you should know that time is running out.  Unfortunately it is only humanity that does not know but the adversary the devil knows this very well.  Within the next six years, we are specially suppose to be rapture conscious.  The events unfolding before our eyes all allude to this shortness of time.  There is a threat to have every inhabitant of the earth vaccinated by 2030.  What is in the vaccines?  You have probably heard of quantum dots vaccines being developed by MIT engineers. You have probably also heard of ID2020, the program to leverage immunization as an opportunity to establish digital identity.  Beloved, all these are being proposed to be implanted either on the forehead or right hand (see Revelation 13:16-18).  When we say the time is short, prophetically, it is even at the door.  Preach the Word!  Win a soul today!  Save somebody from eternal doom!  Shalom!

    REMEMBER:  There is an urgency in the spirit to soul-winning now because time is very short.

    PRAYER:   Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for insight into prophetic timeline.  I ask that you awaken every believer to the urgency of the moment.  I ask that you open the eyes of the unsaved to the light of the glorious gospel today in Jesus Name Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE:   Everything that makes you at ease in Zion is cursed today in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!
