    WHAT IS RIGHTEOUSNESS?

    And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
    Genesis 15:6 (KJV)

    Righteousness is the nature of God that we received the moment we got born again; the moment we believed God’s provision – Christ Jesus. Righteousness is that very nature of God that made God God. It is the gift of God bestowed upon the believer. Righteousness is received by faith. Abraham believed God and it was reckoned to him for righteousness (see Genesis 15:6). Righteousness is a gift that cannot be achieved by our works. Righteousness imparts upon the believer the confidence to stand before God without feeling inferior, or tongue-tied. Righteousness is the nature of God that the Holy Spirit imparts to our recreated human spirit at new birth. This righteousness we are talking about is ‘Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:’ (Romans 3:22). The standard of God is so high that man cannot achieve it. The best our righteousness can be is a filthy rag before God (see Isaiah 64:6). So, whenever we are talking about righteousness, please don’t even try to fit your conduct and practices into it, weighed in a balance, it is like a smelling rag before God. You must be willing to accept the precious gift of righteousness by surrendering your life to Christ.

    Having received this nature of righteousness, it begins to bear fruits in our lives. Galatians 1:11 puts it this way, “Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.” We are expected to bear fruits of righteousness. John the baptist told the people that came to his baptism to bear fruits worthy of repentance (see Luke 3:8). It is still the same fruits of righteousness that he was talking about there. What are these fruits of righteousness? Galatians 5:22-24 says, ‘22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.’ The fruit of the Holy Spirit that the recreated human spirit bears are the fruits of righteousness that Galatians 1:11 was talking about. These fruits are as a result of your new birth not the determinant, there is a difference. Nothing can ever qualify you for the gift of righteousness but having received that gift, you are to live accordingly bearing the fruits thereby.

    This is where many people disconnect in the school of the Word of righteousness. So many people wants to qualify for salvation. They want to be super-being that earned their salvation. They believe that you cannot be saved just like that without doing something; without ‘living right’. It is like asking a dog to roar like a lion. It is impossible no matter how long you train the dog, its nature forbids it to roar like a lion. Living right is natural for the man that has received the righteousness of God and is conscious of the workings of that gift in his life. Bearing the fruits of righteousness comes natural to the recreated spirit. He is not living right to be saved, no. He is living right as a result of salvation that he has received. I hope that is clear. Selah!

    REMEMBER: Righteousness is the nature of God imparted to you at new birth.

    CONFESSION: I am an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ. I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and I am bearing the fruits of righteousness in my life on daily basis bringing praise and glory to the Father in the name of Jesus! Hallelujah!!!

    FOUNDATION (3): BAPTISMS 

    Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
    Hebrews 6:2 [KJV]

    Today we are dealing with the foundation principle of the baptisms.  Notice that it is baptisms implying more than one type of baptism.  The Greek word used here is “baptismos” which is derived from “baptizo” meaning to immerse, submerge, to make whelmed (that is fully wet).  In the New Testament, we recognize three types of baptisms and we shall be discussing them.  First, understand that baptism is the act of immersing someone into something.  It is not to sprinkle. There is nowhere in the new covenant where baptism implied sprinkling of water.  It is to submerge into water.  Over the years, we have seen this error in some quarters of sprinkling water in the name of baptism.  Suffix it to be clearly stated here that such doctrine is not of Christ.  The first type of baptism and the one that should come first is baptism into Christ.  Galatians 3:27 says, ‘For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.’  This experience is what we call the new birth.  It is the initiation into Christ by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth.  When that is done, there is a submerge of your spirit-man into Christ which when is raised up comes up with newness of life (see Romans 6:4).

    The second type of baptism is the water baptism.  This is symbolic of what happened at new birth.  Water baptism is a public confession of your identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.  You are submerged into the water, signifying the death and burial of Christ, then you are raised from the water, signifying the resurrection of Christ and as you come out of the water, you signify that you are now walking with Christ in the newness of life.  Mark 16:16 says, ‘He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.’  This shows that your salvation is not complete according to Jesus in Mark 16:16 until you are baptised.  Some argue that water baptism is not a requirement for salvation but Mark 16:16 seems to agree that it is.  Believing and baptism; baptism is the confession in that scripture.  It takes believing and confessing Christ to be saved, not just believing (see Romans 10:9-10).

    The third type of baptism is the Holy Spirit baptism.  This is what happened to them in Acts 2:1-4.  It is the coming upon of the Holy Spirit to empower the believer for Christian service and testimony.  It is an experience subsequent to salvation.  This means that you must be saved first before this experience can be possible in your life.  It is evidenced by the utterances in tongues of the Spirit.  The Holy Spirit upon this baptism imparts to you utterance in tongues that you do not understand.  It is a prayer language to help you communicate with the Father more effectively and to help you build your spirit and faith (see Jude 1:20).  As you pray in the tongues of the Holy Spirit, your faith is energized and your spirit is built up like an edifice (see 1 Corinthians 14:1-4).  If you are not yet baptised, please seek this experience.  You can reach out to us to guide you.  It is very crucial foundation for your maturity in Christ.

    REMEMBER:  The three types of baptisms discussed are very foundational.

    FOUNDATION (1): REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS

    Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
    Hebrews 6:1 (KJV)

    Starting from today, we shall be discussing the principles of the doctrine of Christ.  These are the foundation-principles that you need in your faith, which you must ensure that they are deeply entrenched in your spirit.  When the foundation is firm, then it is easier for you to go on to maturity in Christ.  Maturity is coming to the perfect understanding of the Word of Righteousness and using same to rule and reign in life.  Maturity is coming to the position of sonship (see Galatians 4:1-4; Romans 8:14), where the devil does not cheat you in any area of life.  This is when you begin to manifest the many-sided complicated wisdom of God unto the principalities and powers (see Ephesians 3:10).  You are no more a victim but a victor, dispensing the verities of the Kingdom everywhere you go.  For maturity to be possible beloved, you must be careful to lay this foundation of the principles of the doctrine of Christ in your spirit/heart.  The first foundation principles of the doctrine of Christ is repentance from dead works.  Dead works here connote all efforts of man to be acceptable to God.  They are considered dead works because they are coming from spiritually dead people.  All sins of the unregenerated, unconverted person is dead works because they proceed from persons spiritually dead and they tend to death eternally.

    Repentance means to reverse or change your mind.  You must change from dead works and acknowledge that the end thereof are the ways of death.  There is absolutely nothing that you can do in terms of sacrifice, obeying the law, doing good, etc., that can earn you salvation.  The best of man is like a filthy rag before God.  That does not negate the law of life.  There is the law of life of sowing and reaping.  Even if you are not in Christ, that law still applies.  For instance, if you are given to helping people come out of their difficult situation either in cash or kind, you will reap that in this life in your life.  You will notice that at any point of need, there is a provision from God for you in response to the good seeds you have been sowing in the life of your fellow man.  This is as far as this law goes.  It is the law of seed time and harvests.  However, good works are dead works in regards to earning you salvation.  It can never deliver you from the flames of hell because it is another law that is at work there, it is called the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1-3).  Cornelius was a good man with good works but it was not able to purchase salvation for him (see Acts 10).  Until he heard and received the gospel of Christ, he was not saved.  His good works though attested to by God himself, could not save him.

    Until there is repentance from dead works, you cannot break the influence of the law of sin and death.  The law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus demands that you repent from dead works. Only and until then, can you put your trust in Christ for salvation.  You must come to recognize that you are lost without the finished work of Christ Jesus.  Thank God Jesus came, we would have been lost forever.

    REMEMBER:   Settle it in your heart that there is nothing a man can do that can earn him salvation.

    PRAYER:  Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your word to me today.  I understand that without Christ Jesus I am forever lost, my good works notwithstanding.  I repent today from dead works and accept the Lord Jesus as Lord and Saviour of my life.  Thank You Father in Jesus Name Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE:  I decree that your life will be the evidence of God’s saving power in the gospel in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

    THE WORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

     21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;   22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
    Romans 3:21-22 (KJV)

    As much simple as the truth is, so many people are yet to come to terms with it.   The Word of Righteousness is in that category.  The Word of Righteousness describes the plan of God which he hatched and executed after the fall of man.  When man sinned against the Lord, he came short of the glory of God.  When the Bible uses the term “man”, it describes the human race of both male and female.  The verdict of man’s disobedience is death, spiritual and eternal death and nothing can be done except the demand of justice is satisfied.  The problem is that man can never satisfy the demand of justice to redeem himself.  So the Bible says that all that man can muster in terms of righteousness is a filthy rag before God (Isaiah 64:6).  Man was left in the power of his enemy the devil and the devil had a field day dealing with man.  God introduced the law to cut off the influence of the devil over man.  In the law, sacrifices were provided to cover the sin of man which in turn makes him acceptable before God.  If man decide to keep the law, then the negative consequences of sin are suspended cutting off the influence of the devil over him, making man enjoy the blessings of the Lord, especially the blessing of His presence in their midst.  Even though that presence was tabernacled in on one central place but the covering was over all that kept the law (see Romans 10:5).

    The problem with the law was its inability to change the nature of man, making it difficult for man to truly keep the whole law.  Sin was not just an act problem, it is a nature problem. The disobedience of man changed his nature from that of God to that of Satan.  It is at this point that many disconnect from the Word of Righteousness.  The problem of man was not just forgiveness of sin but a complete recreation.  Man needed the nature of sin to die and a completely new nature to emerge in order to be acceptable before God and this was what the law could not do.  It was only God that had a way out of man’s predicament.  So God came in Christ Jesus, became man, was born of virgin Mary by the incubation of the Holy Spirit.  The Word became flesh and dwelt among us Apostle John says in John 1:14.  Finally Jesus died because it was only a sinless blood of man, not of bulls and goats, that can satisfy the demand of justice for man’s transgression (Hebrews 10:4).   Jesus took man’s place, went to hell, defeated Satan in his territory and collected the dominion of man back.  Rose from the dead and ascended where He deposited His blood at the altar of heaven for the atonement of man’s sin once for all. He was given a name above all other name and a new generation began in Him. (see Philippians 3:5-10).

    For space let us try to pin this.  Now when you surrender to Jesus, you are not just forgiven of your sins, you are also recreated (see 2 Corinthians 5:17).  You become a new specie of being that never existed before.  That new nature is the nature of righteousness that the Holy Spirit imparts to your spirit at new birth.  Now, what did you do to deserve it?  Nothing, absolutely nothing apart from believing in what Jesus Christ did for you and receiving Him into your spirit.  This is what is called new birth.  The day you became born again, you became all the righteousness you could ever be.  You become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  You can never earn it by your work of righteousness or right conduct.  In fact, without that new nature, whatever you do in terms of good works is like a filthy rag before God.  God now sees you in Christ.  God now sees you righteous, holy, complete, and perfect in Christ.  This is what the word of Righteousness is all about.  And till you meet Jesus face to face, you must maintain that consciousness that you stand by the righteousness of Christ Jesus not yours.  Any day you start seeing you standing by your own righteousness, you have fallen from grace (Galatians 5:4).  No space to tell you some things! Shalom!

    REMEMBER:  You are now the righteousness of God, consciously walk in that truth.

    CONFESSION:   I am a new creation in Christ Jesus.  I was born sin-free.  I am not a sinner, I am a saint because of what Jesus did for me.  I can never be defeated by sin, Satan and sickness because I am made more than conqueror. Hallelujah!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE:   I decree that your heart is receptive to the truth of God’s word in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

    WHAT IS GOD SAYING FOR SEPTEMBER 2020?

    For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
    2 Corinthians 5:21 [KJV]

    Welcome to the month of September 2020. We trust you have been supremely impacted and transformed by the undiluted torrents of the Word of God on Kingdom Prosperity which the Holy Spirit fed us with in the month of August. It was truly an eye opening experience for us here and we trust you were illuminated to the point of transmogrification. All glory to His Holy Name! Don’t forget that it is the doer of the work that is blessed in all his deed (James 1:25). It is not enough to hear. Until there is a corresponding action on what you have heard, you have not really heard and there can never be a positive change in your life. Remember what the Lord Jesus said in Matthew 7:24 that he that hears and does the Word is likened to a wise man who built his house upon a rock. I encourage you to plunge full length into the practice of the covenant and see what it turns you into in a short time. Don’t be weary because there is a due season and until you are due and the blessings starts pouring down, don’t quit.

    What then is the Lord saying for the King Priest Family Worldwide in the month of September 2020? Every provision of the Lord God has as its foundation “depart from iniquity” (II Timothy 2:19). Are you named with the name of Christ, then the call is depart from iniquity. At the root of the problem of humanity is disobedience. We saw the injunction in Genesis 2:17 of God’s command to Adam about the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and in Genesis 3 how man disobeyed and acquired the nature of sin and Satan by so doing disqualifying himself from the presence of the Lord. That began man’s adventure into sin, sickness, disease, affliction, poverty, foolishness, and death. Glory be the Lord, He did something about it! The Father came in the person of Jesus and took man’s place to satisfy the demands of justice, was crucified, died, was buried and rose from the dead, defeating Satan, sin and its consequences and ultimately death. Jesus Christ was our substitute. When He was crucified, we were crucified with Him (Romans 6:6); when He died, we died with Him; when He rose up from the dead, we rose up with Him; now that He is seating at the right hand of God, we are seated with Him. By that price that He paid, He took away our sin and God made us the righteousness of God in Him. It is not by what we did or accomplished but by our faith in His sacrifice, we became the righteousness of God.

    Our prophetic focus for the Month of September 2020 therefore, is ‘I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST’ (2 Corinthians 5:21). September is our month of righteousness. The Word of righteousness is a university course in the school of faith in Christ. Hebrews 5:13 says, ‘For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.’ This means that the word of Righteousness is not for the unskilful, not for the babes in Christ. This is the reason why the word of righteousness is scarce because it is strong meat of the word of God. It is something that babes cannot fully appreciate. So many ‘men of God’ do not understand it either and that is why they cannot teach along this line. You will be shocked that your pastor may not have preached and taught along this line in the last twelve months or more. We shall be exploring, the devastations of sin, the foundations and principles of the doctrine of Christ, Holiness, the word of righteousness, the spirits of the last days, and the responsibility steps you must take to stay holy and rapturable. It is going to be deeply a soul-searching month. It is going to be a month of repentance, restoration, refiring, and taking stock to make sure that you are still in the faith. The little foxes that spoil your vine of Christian character and testimony shall be completely destroyed. Your glory shall emerge with authority and dignity. You are surely the righteousness of God in Christ!

    THANKSGIVING: Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of life, of seeing a new month. Thank You for sending Jesus Christ to pay the prize for my sins and for the privilege of your presence in my life. Thank You for giving me the blessed Holy Spirit who now lives in me. Thank You for all you did for us in the month of August. I am set for this month, for all you desire to do in me and for me. Thank You in advance for a successful September 2020 in all ramifications in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!.

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree that this month of September shall not see your end but you will see its end. As we enter the “ember” months, I decree no evil news shall be heard in your life, family and job. This month, the heavens open over you and your family for a turnaround your world cannot deny. This month, every agenda of evil against you is shattered now. You shall only walk in success, increase, favour, supernatural possibilities and triumphs on every side you turn. No man shall be able to stand against you and your progress all the days of this month. Testimonies shall be your daily bread this month and celebration unending shall be in your house. Get set to walk into strange order of finances in the name of Christ Jesus Amen.
