TO RENDER SATISFACTORY PRAISE (2): LIVE WITH A JOYFUL HEART

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
    James 5:13 (KJV)

What makes praise melodious or noise to Yahweh is the heart from where it is emanating. II Chronicles 16:9 says that the eyes of the LORD runs to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. A king Amaziah did what was right but not with a perfect heart, so what he did was discounted (see II Chronicles 25:2). It is only praise that comes from a merry heart that is satisfactory. You are not qualified to sing until your heart is merry. Until you are full of joy or showing high-spirited playfulness, you are not qualified to sing. If you have followed the devotional from first of November, you would have seen that real praise can only be done from a joyful, grateful heart. It goes most times with demonstrations, like Yadah, would require you to throw your hands up in adoration; halal will require you to praise with reckless abandon and be clamorously foolish in both your eyes and that of others. You can never do those things, if you are depressed or moody. The foundation and requirement for acceptable praise is a joyful grateful heart. Until that is in place, it is noise that you are making before the Lord. You can sing without actually praising Yahweh. Many people sing for different reasons and with different motives in their hearts, which make their songs of no effect.

When your praises are acceptable, your life becomes colourful. Yahweh sees you jumping and singing, but He is asking, “Is he really praising Me?” Yahweh is concerned about what goes on on your inside. He is looking on the inside to reward every man according to his ways. What you become in the kingdom is basically a function of what goes on on your inside. The state of your heart in praise is what determines the response from Yahweh. When you praise Him with all your heart, your praise is acceptable. Many people praise, but their hearts are not really there.

Joy is a fruit of the recreated human spirit. So at salvation, the joy of the Lord is imparted to your spirit. However, you need constant daily intake of the word of Yahweh to maintain joy. Jeremiah 15:16 says, ‘Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.’ The Word renews and refreshes your joy. Remember that this joy does not respond to happenings. Happiness maybe a function of happenings but not this joy. Joy is a function of the reality of the Word of Yahweh unveiled to the spirit-man. Beloved, take responsibility to maintain a high-level intake of the Word on a daily basis and you will never run out of joy again in your life. Run your Word intake on schedule. Don’t be random. That is why using a guide like yearly reading plan is very vital. The importance of joy and a merry heart demands that you do everything in your power to maintain it fresh daily. Shalom!

REMEMBER: Until you are joy-full, you cannot be praise-full.

PRAYER: Dear Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to abide in Your Word daily in order to continually refresh and renew Your joy in me in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I command every mountain before you levelled now as you begin to produce joyful praise from now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • TO RENDER SATISFACTORY PRAISE (1): LIVE IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Tuesday November 9, 2021

TO RENDER SATISFACTORY PRAISE (1): LIVE IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
    John 4.24 (KJV)

For praise to be acceptable, it must be offered by the living. The dead cannot praise Yahweh. ‘The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.’ (Isaiah 38:19). But then there is a problem. Yahweh told Adam in Genesis 2:17, ‘for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.’ Guess what? Adam actually ate that fruit and died. From that day, humanity ceases to be qualified to praise Yahweh because only the living can praise Yahweh. Man died and became separated from Yahweh. Goodnews! Yahushua came, died, was buried, rose on the third day and ascended to heaven where He is interceding for us now. If anyone surrenders to Yahushua HaMashiach he/she is quickened by the Spirit of HaMashiach and recreated. This experience we call being ‘born again’ is the only way man can be alive towards Yahweh and therefore, qualified to praise Him. Until you are quickened back to life and recreated by the Holy Spirit, you cannot praise Yahweh; you are dead in trespasses (Ephesian 2:1-4). Why do you need Yahushua HaMashiach? The problem is not just the act of sin, but the nature of sin. Even if you claim that you have not sinned, you are still dead in sin because you inherited the nature of sin from Adam. When the Spirit of HaMashiach recreates you, you come alive with a new nature of righteousness not because of what you have done but because of the price Yahushua HaMashiach paid for sin.

So to be born again in essence is the dead human spirit being quickened by the Holy Spirit and recreated with a new nature and life to function in Yahweh’s presence and be able to relate with the glory of Yahweh. Everything about you becomes new. But this newness is only in your spirit. Your soul which comprises your will, emotion and mind was not recreated neither was your body. This is the reason you need to be taught the principles of the Kingdom so you can reprogramme your soul and your body to conform to the newness of life that has been imparted to the spirit-man. When you fail in this area of transforming your mind and conforming your body to the new recreated spirit-man, you become like a child born without feeding that will inevitably die in the process of time. So being born again doesn’t end at confession of the Lordship of Yahushua HaMashiach over your life, that was just the beginning. Feeding your spirit with the Word of Yahweh, which also transforms your mind and empowers you to act on the Word thereby conforming your body is a must for you if you desire to render satisfactory praise that erects a habitation for the presence of Yahweh.

REMEMBER: Only life in the spirit and in truth can praise Yahweh.

PRAYER: Precious Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. Thank You for recreating me and giving me your Word to conform my mind and present my body a living sacrifice to you. I live by You Lord in the name of Yahushua Hamashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I see your relationship with the Lord flow into a palpable presence in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • EDEN: THE ENVIRONMENT OF YAHWEH’S PRESENCE

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Monday November 8, 2021

EDEN: THE ENVIRONMENT OF YAHWEH’S PRESENCE

And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
    Genesis 2:8 [KJV]

Eden in Hebrew means pleasure; delicate, delight. Yahweh planted a garden in Eden and there He put the man whom He had formed. When Yahweh wanted to make man, He spoke to Himself, ‘let us make man in our image, after our likeness’ (Genesis 1:26). Us here is the trinity, Yahweh, the Father, Son and Spirit. When Yahweh wanted to make the plants, he spoke to the ground (see Genesis 1:24-25). So for the plants to survive, it has to stay on the ground and connected to the ground. Whenever you remove the plant or disconnect it from the ground, death results. This is the principle of creation. Everything that is created must be connected to the environment that produced it to survive and live. Death occurs when creation is disconnected from its environment of creation. Yahweh spoke to the water to bring forth the fish. So the environment of the creation of the fish is the water. If the fish must live, it must be connected to the environment of its creation. This is a principle of creation that cannot be violated. Yahweh spoke to Himself to create the man, so Yahweh is the environment of man’s creation. Yahweh is a spirit. So for man to be in Yahweh’s image and likeness, he must of necessity be a spirit. Man is a spirit that has a soul and lives in a body. The physical body of man was made out of the ground. The soul of man came by the breathe of Yahweh. The breathe of Yahweh is the Spirit of Yahweh. The Spirit of Yahweh when it was imparted to the man activated the soul of man which comprise of the will, the mind and the emotions. So Yahweh made man and placed Him in Eden, the place of His presence. Eden is a place of delight where Yahweh’s presence created a climate of pleasantness for the man.

Yahweh would come and relate with the man. Eden is a place of relationship and fellowship between Yahweh and man and that connection was the environment that kept man alive. The presence of Yahweh is the environment of man. Eden is the place man could fulfil his potential because of the presence of Yahweh that he enjoys. Man sleep and woke up in the presence of the Lord in Eden. He was a genius in Eden where he could name all the animals, plants and cosmic bodies. He had dominion in the presence of Yahweh in Eden. So man was made to function in the presence of the Lord. That was his environment. But then something happened, Satan deceived the human race and sin came in and the man died. He became cut off from his source Yahweh and can no longer accommodate the presence of the Lord. He became contaminated with sin and unfit to function before the holiness of the presence of Yahweh. Consequently, he was driven out of Eden, out of the environment of His creation. Remember the principle of creation that environment sustains creation.

Yahweh in His love provided the blood of a lamb to cover man’s nakedness. Then He sent Yahushua HaMashiach to provide the way back to His presence by paying the ultimate penalty for sin. Through HaMashiach, the way to the presence of Yahweh was provided. In HaMashiach, man can now accommodate Yahweh’s presence. So what praise does is provide the environment for Yahweh to come to fellowship with man which was what Eden provided. Praise creates Eden for the born again person. Now if you desire fellowship with Yahweh, you must provide Eden for Yahweh to inhabit. Without praise no environment for the presence of Yahweh. For the born again person, praise creates Eden in your moments. Praise is Yahweh’s habitat. Shalom!

REMEMBER: If you desire fellowship with Yahweh now, you must provide a habitat for Yahweh by praise.

CONFESSION: My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. That is why I must provide praise 24/7 to make His home conducive for the manifestation of His presence. Halleluyah!!!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree the grace to praise Him upon you today in Yahushua’s name Amen!

  • THE MYSTERY OF ENVIRONMENT

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Sunday November 7, 2021

    THE MYSTERY OF ENVIRONMENT

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
    Genesis 1:20 (KJV)

There is a truth the Spirit of the Lord wants to ingrain into your spirit indelibly and that is that you are created to function in the presence of the Lord. If you can understand this and begin to consciously practice His presence, you would have achieved the purpose of today’s word. Man’s ability to fulfill his purpose and to be all Yahweh intended him to be is predicated on the requirement that he obey the principles Yahweh established when He created human beings. Why is this true? Yahweh is a God of principles. Everything He created was established to operate by certain principles that guarantee its proper function. This pattern in creation includes human beings. We were created to operate by principles that Yahweh established before He created us.

Yahweh’s demands of us are always based on His principles because He knows we cannot fulfill our purpose and enjoy fulfilment in life unless we operate within the parameters (principles) He has set for us. The effects of His laws cannot be avoided because they are inherent to the law. Therefore, our relationship with Yahweh, both our perception of Him and His response to us, is based on how we respond to the principles He has established throughout creation. He is not capricious in His responses to us, but rather is faithful and just (See Psalm 111:7). If you want a product to work, you have to obey the manufacturer’s principles of operation.

The word environment is defined as “circumstances, objects, and conditions by which one is surrounded” (Webster’s, “environment”). Therefore, an environment may refer to the forces that affect the state of things, the components that make up the climate in which something exists, or the conditions in which a thing exists. Everything in life was created to function within the particular environment that Yahweh prescribed for it before He created it. For instance, before creating the fish, Yahweh created the environment that the life of the fish would depend on and that is the water. So out of the water, Yahweh called forth the fish. When Yahweh wanted to create man, He spoke to Himself and after He had formed the man, He breathe on him the breathe of life, that is His Spirit and man became a living soul (see Genesis 2:7). So, Yahweh is man’s environment. Yahweh’s presence is man’s environment. Yahweh planted a garden in Eden and placed the man there. Yahweh placed man in His presence. After the fall, redemption by Yahushua HaMashiach and its consequent salvation, praise is the way to enable the environment of Yahweh’s presence. This is so crucial for you to understand. As a recreated human spirit, if you want Yahweh to manifest to you now, you must create the atmosphere of heaven here on earth. Selah!

REMEMBER: God’s presence is man’s environment and praise enables and activates that environment.

CONFESSION: I am made to bring praise to Yahweh my creator. As I function in my purpose, He inhabits my praise and His presence becomes my present-hour reality. Glory!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree that the channels of your spirit opens to the understanding and light from heaven in this Word today in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • PRAISE IS YOUR PURPOSE

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Saturday November 6, 2021

    PRAISE IS YOUR PURPOSE

This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
    Isaiah 43:21 (KJV)

Purpose is the original intention for the creation of a thing. For everything created there was a purpose behind the manufacturer’s mind for the making of that thing. Man is the creation of Yahweh and He didn’t leave us ignorant of the purpose for Him making man. Dr Myles says that if purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable. The reason there is so much abuse of purpose in the human race is because for most part, most people don’t even know the purpose for which they are alive. They were born into a routine of being born, going to school, getting a job or starting an enterprise, getting married and giving birth to children, growing old and dying. Most people go through this routine and for them, that is life. No wonder, there is so much bustle in the rat race. Everyone wants to beat everyone else. For the majority, there is no consciousness of purpose at all. Consequently, what you don’t know you can’t pursue. The good news is that man has a purpose for his making and it can be discovered. There is the general purpose of man and there is the specific purpose of man. The specific purpose gives the individual the specific ways to fulfil the general purpose. By all means the general purpose is the life assignment of man and that is to show forth the praises of the Yahweh; to bring Yahweh praise and glory. Whatever man is doing that does not fulfil this purpose is a wasted life and securing an eternity in agony and anguish. Though praising Yahweh is our purpose, it is only the living that can praise the Lord (see Isaiah 38:19). Ephesians 2:1 says that we were dead in trespasses and sins. Apostle Paul says that the law came and sin revived in him, thereby killing him (see Romans 7:9). Sin kills and Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of Yahweh. Therefore, everyone born of a woman was born in sin, consequently, spiritually dead. That implies that you cannot praise Yahweh until you are alive and living.

We are laying the foundation for what Yahweh is set to do this month. If the foundation is destroyed what can the righteous do? (see Psalms 11:3). John 3:16 says ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ Yahushua HaMashiach came and paid the penalty for sin which is death (see Ezekiel 18:4). As a result of our nature of sin, we were eternally condemned with the devil to hell and the justice of Yahweh must be satisfied. So Yahushua HaMashiach came and died for us and went to hell for us and rose again to give us life, eternal life. Now if anyone believes in and confesses Him as Lord and Saviour, he/she is quickened back to eternal life by the Spirit of HaMashiach, the Blessed Holy Spirit. This is the experience we call ‘being born again’. When that happens, you become a new creation, with a new nature can that accommodate and enjoy the presence of Yahweh. This is now when you are ready to enter into the environment of the presence of Yahweh that you were created to live in.

It all starts with coming alive by surrendering your heart to the Lord Yahushua. If you have not done that genuinely, please pray today’s prayer from the depth of your heart meaning every word, then reach us in any of our social media handles for support.

REMEMBER: You were created to praise Yahweh. Only the living can praise. Being born again is coming alive.

PRAYER: Dear Father, I believe in Yahushua HaMashiach that he came, died, was buried and rose again to give me eternal life. I repent Lord of my sins and I ask you to forgive me and cleanse me and from today I confess that Yahushua HaMashiach is my Lord and Saviour. Now I know that am born again in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: From now, your life shall give Yahweh praise and pleasure in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • WHAT IS PRAISE (3)

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    WHAT IS PRAISE? (3)

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.
    Psalms 95:6 (KJV)

We shall be concluding our discuss on the seven Hebrew words that define praise. We have seen Towdah, Yadah, Halal, Shabach and Zamar in the preceding days. Let’s continue with the sixth.

    6. Barak (Strong’s, H1288; Vine’s, “To Bless”), the sixth dimension of praise, is a primitive root meaning, “to kneel, to bless Yahweh as an act of adoration, to salute.” (Psalms 95:6). This is often the response of the human spirit to the presence of Yahweh during praise and worship. While barak is often translated to “bless,” particularly in the King James Version (see Genesis 9:26; Deuteronomy 1:11; Jeremiah 4:2), other English translations use “praise” (see Genesis 24:48; Joshua 22:33; 1 Samuel 25:32; 1 Kings 10:9; Psalms 41:13) when referring to people blessing Yahweh, and “congratulate” (see 1 Kings 1:47) and “thank” (see Deuteronomy 24:13) when referring to people blessing people. Barak is also used to refer to Yahweh’s blessing on human beings (see Genesis 1:22; 9:1; Deuteronomy 12:7; Psalms 45:2) and the things they do and need (see Exodus 23:25; Deuteronomy 16:15), and of the blessings given by the priests in Yahweh’s name (see Deuteronomy 21:5). In a somewhat interesting counterpoint, barak is also used to refer to blasphemy or cursing against Yahweh (see 1 Kings 21:10,13; Job 1:5).

    7. Tehillah (Strong’s, H8416; Vine’s, “To Praise”) is the final dimension of praise. It is based on a root that means “laudation,” especially as it refers to hymns (see Psalms 40:3), and it speaks of the praiseworthy quality of a person or thing. TEHILLAH is derived from the word halal and means “the singing of halals, to sing or to laud; perceived to involve music, especially singing; hymns of the Spirit or praise.” Tehillah is song that publicly lauds Yahweh both as the praise of Israel and as the One to be praised (see Deuteronomy 10:21; 1 Chronicles 16:35; Psalms 22:3; 148:14; Jeremiah 17:14). Therefore, Tehillah praise may occur when Yahweh’s people are praising Him, giving Him praise, or speaking of His praise (see 1 Chronicles 16:35; 2 Chronicles 20:22; Nehemiah 12:46; Psalms 22:25; 71:8). In addition, the Scriptures tell us that tehillah is praise Yahweh is not willing to share with anyone or anything else (see Isaiah 42:8; Jeremiah 48:2). It is for Him alone, being the very place of His dwelling (see Psalms 22:3). So zealous is Yahweh for the tehillah praise of His people, that He even holds back His anger so He can receive praise (see Isaiah 48:9). Moreover, the Scriptures tell us that Yahweh will make Jerusalem the praise of the earth (see Isaiah 62:7; Jeremiah 33:9) as He makes His people praiseworthy (see Deuteronomy 26:19; Zephaniah 3:19-20). Then His people themselves will be His praise (see Jeremiah 33:11). Nehemiah 9:5 is an interesting usage of this word, in that Yahweh’s name is “exalted above all blessing [shabach] and praise [tehillah].” In other words, Yahweh is exalted above any praise we can offer Him. Thus it not surprising that tehillah is also translated “glory” (see Exodus 15:11).

God dwells in the Tehillah of His people. So keep blessing Yahweh (Barak) and singing spiritual songs (Tehillah) to the Lord and watch how mountains and hills in your life skips like rams and calves. Shalom!

REMEMBER: Singing and making melody in our hearts to the Lord is the code that unlocks God’s presence.

SONG: Dear Heavenly Father, like oil upon Your feet, like wine for you to drink, like water from my heart, I pour my love on You, if praise is like perfume, I lavish mine on You, till every drop is gone, I pour my love on You!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: The heaven is open, the rains of wonders has started, key in by your praise. Everlasting mountains are being moved in your life now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    WHAT IS PRAISE? (2)

Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
    Psalms 150:1 (KJV)

We continue from yesterday and we are beginning today from the third Hebrew word for praise and the third dimension.

        3. Halal (Strong’s, H1984; Vine’s, “To Praise”), the third dimension of praise, is derived from a primitive root that means, among other things, “to be clear,” “to shine,” “to make a show,” “to boast,” “to be (clamorously) foolish,” “to rave.”  It suggests a sense of foolishness or abandonment in praise. Therefore, some people won’t praise Yahweh with halal because they are too dignified. They refuse to look even a little bit foolish in their celebration of Yahweh.  Whenever I think of halal, II Samuel 6:21-22 comes to mind.  David said “… therefore, will I play before the Lord.”  “and I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight …”  Wow!  This is halal in demonstration.  It means to play before the Lord, to be clamorously foolish in giving adoration; to be vile and base in one’s sight just to show Yahweh how much one loves Him.  In the Scriptures, in addition to “praise,” halal is translated as “commend” (see Genesis 12:15; Proverbs 12:8), “boast” (see 1 Kings 20:11; Psalms 10:3; 34:2; 97:7), “celebrate” (see Isaiah 38:18), “glory” (see 1 Chronicles 16:10; Psalms 105:3; Isaiah 41:16), “exult” (see Isaiah 45:25), “sing praises” (see 2 Chronicles 23:13), and “shine” (see Job 31:26; 41:18). Since halal is also translated “insane” (see 1 Samuel 21:13), or “fools” and “foolish” (see Job 12:17; Psalms 5:5; 73:3; Ecclesiastes 2:2).  Found in the Old Testament more than 160 times, halal may also be used in the praise of people, but the more common usage is in praise of Yahweh—hence, the word Halleluyah, a Hebrew word from the same root, which is usually translated “Praise the LORD!”

        4. Shabach (Strong’s, H7812) is the fourth dimension of praise.  It means to “address in a loud voice,” particularly with a sense of triumph.  The words used to translate shabach include, “glory” and “glorify” (see 1 Chronicles 16:35; Psalms 63:3; 106:47), “commend” (see Psalms 145:4; Ecclesiastes 8:15), and “extol” (see Psalms 117:1; 147:12).  When we address the Lord with a loud voice of triumphs, we commend Him for His character and nature and our praise commands a performance and fulfilment of all He has said He will do for us.  This is the praise that collapses the walls of Jericho.  Sometime, find a place where you can go and just raise a loud voice of triumphs to the Lord, where you would not disturb your neighbours.  That shabach to the Lord, forces walls to collapse on their own accord.

        5. Zamar (Strong’s, H2167; Vine’s, “To Sing”), the fifth dimension of praise, is based on a primitive root that means “to touch the strings or parts of a musical instrument” with the sense of playing it or of making music that is accompanied by the voice.  Zamar has the connotation of celebration with song and music, and is often found in a parallel structure with shir (Strong’s, H7891), another Hebrew word for singing.  Zamar is translated as “sing” (see Psalms 27:6; 30:4; 108:3), “give praise” (see Psalms 57:7), “sing praises” (see 2 Samuel 22:50; Psalms 47:6; 68:32), “praise” (see Psalms 21:13), “make music” (see Psalms 33:2; 98:5), and “psalms” (see 1 Chronicles 16:9; Psalms 105:2).  Zamar also has the association of praising Yahweh with instruments (see Psalms 150) and through dance (see Psalms 149:3).

Please note that zamar is the fifth dimension, not the first. You don’t start praise by making music, because music with instruments is to be an extension of your praise, not a creation of it. Praise starts with towdah and yadah—thanksgiving—which may be given by everyone, since we all have breath.  Halleluyah!!!

REMEMBER:    You should halal – praise with abandon, shabach – shout with the voice of triumphs and zamar – make music with instrument unto the Lord.

CONFESSION:   Dear Father, thank you for Who You are – A Great and Mighty God, a merciful and loving Father.  I declare that only You are my God and King. I love You and I shout aloud to my great King today. Halleluyah!!!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:   I see impregnable walls falling down in your life in their own accord as your Shabach ascends in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    WHAT IS PRAISE? (1)

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
    Psalms 100:4 [KJV]

If man was formed to praise Yahweh, then it is of utmost importance to understand what praise is. Webster’s dictionary defines praise as “an expression of approval: commendation; worship, value, merit. Artha Open Thesaurus defines praise as an expression of approval and commendation; as offering words of homage as an act of worship. In the Bible, we have about seven Hebrew words that defines praise. These seven Hebrew words for praise are like seven dimensions of praise. Praise progresses. After we have introduced the seven Hebrew words for praise, we shall tell you why we say that praise is progressive. For space we may run this praise definition in series in order to cover them.

    1. Towdah (Strong’s, H8426; Vine’s, “To Praise”), occurs in the Old Testament 30 times. It is probably the most challenging of the seven dimensions of praise because it is totally an act of the will. Literally, meaning “an extension of the hand,” towdah is a noun form based on the primitive root yadah. Towdah literally means, “an extension of the hand in adoration, avowal, or acceptance.” By way of application, it is apparent in the Psalms and elsewhere that it is used for thanking Yahweh for “things not yet received” as well as things already at hand. In summary, Towdah means the sacrifice of thanksgiving. You can understand why Towdah is the first dimension because Psalm 100:4 says, ‘Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.’ That word thanksgiving is the Hebrew word towdah. You cannot praise Yahweh from outside His gates. To gain pass access at the gate of Yahweh, the sacrifice of thanksgiving must be released. In modern Hebrew towdah is preserved as the regular word for “thanks.” In the Bible, it is used in songs of worship and is translated as “praise” (see Psalms 42:4; 50:23; 56:12), “thanksgiving” (see Psalms 26:7; 50:14; 69:30; Isaiah 51:3), and “giving thanks” (see Nehemiah 12:27-38), with a particular emphasis on the concept of offering praise or thanksgiving as a sacrifice to God (see Psalms 50:14,23; 56:12; 107:22; 116:17; Jeremiah 17:26; 33:11; Amos 4:5). This concept of giving an offering or sacrifice to Yahweh is also seen in that towdah is the word used to refer to the thank offerings presented in the Tabernacle (see Leviticus 7:12-15; 2 Chronicles 29:31; 33:16; Psalms 50:14, 23; 56:12). Towdah may also mean to “make confession” to Yahweh concerning sin (see Joshua 7:19; Ezra 10:11).

    2. Yadah (Strong’s, H3034; Vine’s, “To Confess” and “To Praise”), the second dimension of praise, not surprisingly has some of the same meanings as towdah. Literally, yadah means to use or hold out the hand, it refers primarily to extending the hands in reverence or worship. Thus, yadah is a verb and the dimension of praise where you begin to take control over your body and your mind. To yadah therefore, is to worship with extended hand, to lift the hands in adoration. In the “be thankful unto him” in Psalm 100:4, thankful is the Hebrew word yadah. It is translated as to “praise” (see Gen. 29:35; Ps. 7:17; 9:1), to “give thanks” (see 2 Samuel 22:50; 1 Chronicles 25:3; Psalms 18:49), to “thank” (see 1 Chronicles 16:4; 23:30), and “thanksgiving” (see Nehemiah 11:17). Yadah is also accompanied by man’s recognition of his unworthiness to receive all Yahweh’s benefits. Thus, yadah, like todah, may have the meaning of making confession for sin. Hence it is translated “confess” or “confession” some 20 times in the Old Testament (see Leviticus 5:5; 16:21; Numbers 5:7; Ezra 10:1; Psalms 32:5; Proverbs 28:13).

We shall continue tomorrow on this. You enter the gates of Yahweh with thanksgiving, confessing any sin that comes to mind and lifting up holy hands in adoration. This is the King’s protocol and royals are well acquainted with it.

REMEMBER: Access into His presence is by Towdah and Yadah.

THANKSGIVING: Father, thank you for who you are. You are a great and mighty God, a faithful God, a merciful and loving God. You have not dealt to us according as our deeds deserve and I thank You for Your large heart towards me and my family and your Church. I lift up my hands in adoration in the precious name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: Receive grace to flow in Towdah and Yadah as a lifestyle from now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!
