What a day! The last day of the month of December. The last day of the year 2020. In a couple of hours we shall arrive 2021 and that in good health and sound mind. What a good God we serve. Taking us all the way from January 1st to December 31st 2020, providing for us, protecting us, preserving us, leading and guiding us. We are here today to say THANK YOU LORD GOD! For You are good and Your mercies endures forever. Of a truth, I have seen Your mercies and I can confidently say that I do not deserve the least of the loving kindness which has been super abundant towards me and mine all through 2020. You led us through the plandemic that was orchestrated by the deep state of evil. You saw us through and even prospered us in the midst of it. THANK YOU LORD GOD! In January 2020, You gave the vision for #WordForTodayDevotional in the month of our Prayer and fasting. In February, You gave the focus in your word tagged “LORD AT THY WORD”. In March with focus on the Holy Spirit, tagged “THE HOLY SPIRIT – MY PARAKLETOS”. In April You focused us on Love with the tag “HE THAT LOVETH NOT KNOWETH NOT GOD, FOR GOD IS LOVE.”. In May You said, ‘THIS IS THE VICTORY THAT OVERCOMES THE WORLD EVEN OUR FAITH.’ focusing us on Faith. In June You focused us on Wisdom tagged “BY ME (WISDOM) KINGS REIGN AND PRINCESS DECREE JUSTICE”. In July You thundered that “IF IT WILL TAKE GOD, IT WILL REQUIRE PRAISE BECAUSE HE IS FEARFUL IN PRAISES DOING WONDERS.” focusing us on Praise. In August You exploded with “THUS SAYS THE LORD, “I TAKE PLEASURE IN YOUR PROSPERITY” focusing us on Prosperity. In September, You focused us on Righteousness tagged “I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST”. In October, You introduce us to your conglomerate “SOUL-WINNING IS GOD’S BUSINESS WHICH GUARANTEES THAT ALL MY NEEDS ARE MET” focusing us on Soul-winning. In November, You focused us on healing/deliverance tagged “IN CHRIST I HAVE BEEN HEALED AND DELIVERED ALREADY”. Wow and you are crowning the year with “I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD THAT LEADS YOU IN THE WAY YOU SHOULD GO” focusing us on Divine Direction. THANK YOU LORD GOD for the continuous rain of Your word day in day out.
It takes a song to invoke God’s presence and until God is present you cannot hear His voice of direction. So today, let us be extravagant in praise making demand as we praise the beauty of holiness on the presence of God for direction into 2021. If there are still grey areas please praise God like mad today until you sense His peace. 2021 shall be your year to be wondered at. It shall be a year to focus 24/7 on soul-winning and through that God shall announce His saints to heights they would never had imagined.

THANKSGIVING: Dear Father, we are not worthy of the least of Your mercies. Thank You for the salvation of my soul. Thank You for the continuous flow of Your Word on this platform. Thank You for Your preservation, provision and supplies. Thank You for abundance of Your Word of divine direction this month. To You alone be all the glory in the Name of Christ Jesus Amen!

It is a spiritual reality that having a song facilitates hearing from God. At a point, the prophet Elisha needed to know what God was saying to the kings that came to inquire of the Lord about the journey they were to undertake. In II Kings 3:15 Prophet Elisha requested that a minstrel be brought to him and as the minstrel played the hand of the Lord came upon the Prophet and he prophesied. Praise is God’s habitat. When praise is available the presence of God is invoked and when God is available, then His voice can be heard. Anyone that desires to get divine direction must strive to provide the atmosphere for the presence of God. You must run away from any form of gloom, anger, boredom, depression and weariness. These are enemies of God’s presence. Do you know that in the ancient times, you dare not appear before a king with sad face. That is automatic death sentence. It is considered as treason. How are kings welcomed? By singing and dancing and rejoicing. Earthly kings learnt those protocols from Jehovah. You cannot have access to the presence of God with a gloomy heart and face. You want direction from God? Then you need to enter His presence first.
Psalms 100:4 says, ‘Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.’ The pass code to the presence of the Lord God is coming with a grateful, thankful heart. Then go ahead to sing and dance before God. In the midst of your celebration of God, the heavens will open and the voice of God concerning what you are asking will be known. Just know that sadness, gloominess and depression will lock you out of God’s presence and ultimately out of divine direction. Our opening text says that a song is one of the rituals of a holy solemnity. A holy solemnity is that moment when you are serious and in a reverence mode before the Lord. If you desire to come into that mode of holy reverence with a serious consciousness before the Lord, then you come with a song. Then it says “and gladness of heart as when one goes with a pipe to come into the mountain of the Lord”. That means that coming into the mountain of the Lord requires gladness of heart and a pipe/organ/ or any instrument of music.
These are divine protocols and in the school of divine direction, you must master these in order to arrive at your desire of hearing and understanding the leading of the Lord. So check yourself today, if you qualify to be led by God. Are you given to gladness of heart? Do you always have a song especially in the night? You have seen that being solemn involves having a song not a tight face. We have missed it for so long. Selah!
REMEMBER: Gladness of heart and a song is a must to hear the voice of God
CONFESSION: Joy unspeakable full of glory is the level I function by the power of the Holy Spirit. No room for sadness, gloominess and depression. I live on the mountain top of life 24/7. Glory to the Father!

CHECK IF YOU QUALIFY TO BE LED (6): DO YOU HAVE PRECONCEIVED OPTIONS?
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them? Ezekiel 14:3 (KJV)
Ezekiel 14:4 says, ‘Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;’ God is saying that don’t come to seek for my direction if you already have option in your heart. You have decided what to do then you come to the Lord and say “Lord, what do you want me to do about so so and so?” Meanwhile, you have already made up your mind on what you are doing. That attitude blocks you from ever accessing divine direction. You must come to the Lord with open mind like a baby who truly does not know what to do concerning the area you are seeking direction from God. God says, if you have your preconceived ways and you come to make a fool of God, then He will make a fool of you. He will answer you according to your heart. You know what that means? He will okay whatever you have made up your mind to do even if it will take your life, He would not disturb you. He is answering you according to your heart.
You must understand that God sees what is going on in your heart. He is hearing what you are saying but He is also seeing what is going on in your heart. You are saying one thing but another thing is in your heart. “Let me just finish this prayer, I know what I am going to do”. God is also watching you and saying, “You can just go and do that thing in your heart because I am not going to say anything to you, it would be a complete waste of time.” A couple of men came to prophet Jeremiah and asked him to inquire of the Lord God for them whether they should go down to Egypt or stay in the land of Israel at a time when the person the king of Babylon placed on the throne was murdered with Chaldean soldiers. So the men sent Prophet Jeremiah to inquire of the Lord for them, they said “That the Lord thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.” (see Jeremiah 42:3) The Prophet obliged them and took their matter to God. When God told them through Prophet Jeremiah what to do, because they already had options, they rebelled (see Jeremiah 43:1-7).
Having already determined what you want to do in any issue, don’t bother to ask God because He would answer you according to your heart and it may not be the best for you. So always come before God bare as someone that truly wants to know what to do and when you have that witness in your spirit, you go ahead and hearken to the instruction. That is the way to go. Selah!
REMEMBER: Always come with a true heart before God not having any alternative at all.
CONFESSION: I am always your baby my Lord and King. I know what to do and where to go. I totally depend on you to lead me to the green pastures of life. I shall not miss you because you are committed to leading. Glory to Your Holy Name!

One of the striking thing about our opening text is the fact that thanksgiving and praise provokes perfection of blessing. This is all the more important, because July is the month of rest and perfection. On the seventh month, the ark rested upon the mountain of Ararat (Genesis 8:4). On the seventh day the Lord rested from his work, therefore blessed he the seventh day and hallowed it (Genesis 2:2-3). Today’s text shows us how to walk in a life of practical rest, wholeness and perfection. If you have started seeing the move of God at all in your life, then there is what to do to see the full bloom of that move. If you have started seeing the healing and strength like you have not seen before, then there is this one thing to concentrate on to see the fullness of that which God has started. That one thing is heart-felt thanksgiving and praise. Some even though God is on their case and working to bring them out of their predicament have turned him off by continuous murmuring, grumbling and complaining. You applied for a job, you were called for interviewed amidst hundreds of others. Just seeing the crowd that turned up for the interviewed ignited unbelief in you, “there is no how I stand a chance among so many”, then you continue with murmuring as usual. However, the fact that you were invited for interview is the hand of God at work in your favour which if you had noticed it and overflowed with thanksgiving, then it would be impossible for you not to have the job.
This one person in our opening verse, noticed that he was healed of the leprous disease, then he returned with a loud voice, overflowed with thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus. There is a principle here for us to take to heart, WHENEVER YOU NOTICE THE MOVE OF GOD IN YOUR DIRECTION, RETURN QUICKLY WITH THANKSGIVING TO THE LORD TO SEE IT COMPLETED AND PERFECTED. Failure to do this, is risking the blessing already received and cutting off the process of perfection thereof. Your business has started picking up, don’t assume that you are doing the right thing now that is the reason, recognize that it is the hand of God at work in your direction. Have you started to see new lease of favour in your path of destiny? This is just the beginning if you would recognize the hand that provoked it for you and return with thanksgiving for that. This is the point where so many people disconnect. It is easy to congratulate oneself for the happenings in one’s life ignoring the God-factor. Doing that always ends up short-circuiting the blessing. Beloved, a man cannot receive anything except it is given to him from above (John 3:27). If there is anything good you have seen, then make no mistakes about it, the hand of God is the unseen hand behind it. Ignoring God and continuing as though it is all by your power is not wisdom; it will end in regrets.
It happened to the priests in Prophet Malachi’s days. They saw the blessing of God and thought that it was all by their expertise. See what the Lord told them in Malachi 2:1-2, ‘1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. 2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.’ Beloved, it is risky not to lay this fact to heart that it is the hand of God behind anything good you have seen in your life. Also it is the hand of God that has made the bad you have seen not to be worse than it is already. Bishop David Oyedepo says that if you have seen anything bad, God is the reason it is not worse, so give you praise. Selah!
REMEMBER: Thanksgiving and praise is required to complete and perfect the blessing of God on your life.
