    WHAT IS THE LORD SAYING FOR FEBRUARY 2024?

    And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
    John 4:36 [KJV]

    Welcome to the month of February 2024. We are confident in the Lord that you have been supremely impacted on the prayer and fasting altar in the month of January. Everyone of us in some way has what Yahushua described as “this kind” and thank Yahweh that it is something that we can handle on the prayer and fasting altar. We began the month of January by seeing who Yahushua HaMashiach is and that despite who He is, He still fasted 40 days dry to be able to fulfil His purpose on earth. We saw that we could do no less if we desire to fulfil the call of Yahweh on our lives. We discussed what makes a fast and a scriptural fast. We saw what makes a fast acceptable before Yahweh and scriptural examples. We saw what fasting offers to motivate us to take the bull by the horns. We believe that having gone through the 21 days fasting of January, you are set to fly in 2024. Remember, that fasting is not a once for all time event. As often as you give and pray, you are to fast. So, ensure that you are not missing in at least a day consecrational fast weekly. The benefits of fasting discussed shall be evident in your life in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    What then is the Lord saying for the Royal Life Family Worldwide in the month of February 2024? The soul of man is the highest interest of Yahweh on earth. When man fall, all of heaven went into intense work to implement the plan of a comeback for man. A call went through the heavens “who shall I send and who will go for us” to redeem man from the slavery to sin and Satan (see Isaiah 6:8, Revelation 5:1-6). No man in heaven, on earth or under the earth was worthy to respond to that call for the price and redemption of the soul of man is too costly and precious (Psalms 49:7-8). It is only Yahweh Himself that can afford that price. The Father proceeded from the throne in the person of Yahushua HaMashiach, was born, died, was buried, resurrected and ascended and fulfilled the demand of justice for the redemption of the soul of man. Glory to Yahweh the plan was executed perfectly and completely. Now, Yahushua commanded every believer to herald the news of this redemption and salvation to every other person that has not heard. You probably have heard of this news and have believed, repented and confessed Yahushua HaMashiach as Lord and personal Saviour. When you did, you were enlisted as a vanguard for propagating this good news.

    Our prophetic focus for the Month of February 2024 therefore, is “IN TRIUMPH, I AM GATHERING SOULS UNTO ETERNAL LIFE AND ENTERING INTO THE LABOURS OF OTHERS BY DIVINE FAVOUR” (John 4:36-38). In February 2024, we are going to trust Yahweh to understand our role in His vineyard and to take responsibility. The business of Yahweh on earth is the salvation of the soul of humanity. This is because the earth as it is presently constituted is going to pass away (see 2 Peter 3:7). No matter how we don’t want to hear it, the truth is that the earth shall be burnt up (see II Peter 3:10). Everyone living and dead will one day appear before the judgment seat of HaMashiach (see II Corinthians 5:10). There is a judgment going on right now. As you pass through the earth, you determine by yourself where you will spend eternity. Yahweh in HaMashiach has committed into the hands of the individual believer the task of informing everyone that the price for his/her soul has been paid. As a believer, your occupation notwithstanding, your primary assignment is preaching the gospel with your life and with words. The opportunities and success Yahweh brings your way is to well position you to excel in this task. Being preoccupied with any other thing is an error. We trust that this month Yahweh will reposition everyone of us to be effective and productive believers.

    THANKSGIVING: Dear Father, thank You for the privilege of life, of seeing a new month. Thank You for sending Yahushua HaMashiach to pay the price for my sins and for the privilege of your presence in my life. Thank You for giving me the blessed Holy Spirit who now lives in me. Thank You for all you did for us in the month of January, all the prayers answered. I am set for this month, for all you desire to do in me and for me. Thank You in advance for a successful February 2024 in all ramifications in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree that this month of February 2024 shall not see your end but you shall see its end. I decree no evil news shall be heard in your life, family and job/business. This month, the heavens open over you and your family for a turnaround your world cannot deny. This month, every agenda of evil against you is shattered now. You shall only walk in success, increase, favour, supernatural possibilities and triumphs on every side you turn. No man shall be able to stand against you and your progress all the days of this month. Testimonies shall be your daily bread this month and celebration unending shall be in your house. Get ready to align with purpose and destiny in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen.

    WHAT FASTING OFFERS (10): SPEEDY ANSWERS TO PRAYERS

    Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am.
    Isaiah 58:9 (KJV)

    Fasting brings earnestness to your prayers. We saw at the beginning of this month that what produces dynamic power is not just prayer because everybody is praying but not everybody is experiencing tremendous power that is dynamic in its workings. It is earnest prayer that makes tremendous power available. Webster’s Dictionary defines earnest as ‘characterized by or proceeding from an intense and serious state of mind’. Artha Open Thesaurus defines earnest as ‘not distracted by anything unrelated to the goal’. Amplified Bible define earnest as ’heart-felt and continued’. And this earnestness is not a function of physical exertion and plenty of words as our Lord Yahushua has already said that you shall not be heard because of your much speech (see Matthew 6:7). Hollering and demonstrations is nothing when seeking to make your prayer earnest. This earnestness is a spiritual force that must be added to your prayer to make it produce dynamism and results. Vain repetitions cannot help in this school of prayer at all. Finesse of speech is utterly useless.

    Now take the example of Hannah at Shiloh. She was pouring out her heart to the Lord but no words could be deciphered from what was coming out of her mouth. I Samuel 1:10 has this to say of Hannah, “And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.” Somebody in that disposition couldn’t have followed others to partake of their delicacy of the occasion. She was obviously fasting because I Samuel 1:18 said that after she had encountered her change, “And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.” It was after she received her answer that she broke her fast. Obviously it was fasting that produced the earnestness required to deliver answers to her prayer. This is how this thing works beloved.

    Every matter continues in its state of rest until a relevant force moves it. Fasting is a spiritual force that gives your prayer the wings to fly to the throne room with power and comes back to you with answers. We have often heard that a prayerful believer is a powerful believer, that is surely not the whole truth. There is a level of power which you require to enforce your expectation that you cannot access in the place of prayer without fasting. Until you enter into the closet of fasting, you will be a spectator in that realm. Until you go into the power generating room of fasting, you will only wish and wish and end up in frustration. You have an opportunity now to effect that change you desire as you relate with the Lord in fasting. Do it!

    REMEMBER: Fasting produces the earnestness required to powerise your prayer.

    PRAYER: Beloved Father, I thank You for Your word to me today. I receive grace to undertake that fast that will break the chains and set me on that pedestal of perpetual victory always in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: Every weakness of mind to discipline your body in fasting is arrested today in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    WHAT FASTING OFFERS (8): ESTABLISHMENT IN RIGHTEOUSNESS

    … and thy righteousness shall go before thee; …
    Isaiah     58:8 (KJV)

    Amplified puts it this way: your righteousness (your rightness, your justice, and your right relationship with God) shall go before you [conducting you to peace and prosperity]. Fasting establishes you in righteousness because you cannot approach Yahweh in sin. And righteousness is not just who we are but what we do. I John 3:7 says, ‘Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.’ Fasting helps you establish the culture of doing righteousness. When one does not live a life of consecrational fasting, his/her life will be filled with uncleanness and filth of all manner. Though he/she may have genuinely at one time confessed the lordship of HaMashiach over his/her life but because he/she has refused to work out his/her salvation with fear and trembling (see Philippians 2:12), he/she cannot exercise dominion over sin and unrighteousness. Yahushua saw this when He said in Matthew 6:16 “Moreover when ye fast”. Fasting offers you establishment in righteousness.

    When you are established in righteousness, it provokes a lot of chain reactions in your life. Isaiah 54:14 says, ‘In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.’ Being established in righteousness removes you far from oppression. Whether it is oppression by Satan and the gates of hell or by wicked and unreasonable men, you are removed far from oppression. Being established in righteousness disables fear in your spirit. You begin to live as though the devil doesn’t exist any more. The strength of the devil is a lifestyle of sin and unrighteousness. Fear brings bondage. Fear magnets death (see Hebrews 2:15). But as you are established in righteousness you are far removed from terror. Terror is barred from your life. Instead, you become the terroriser.

    Being established in righteousness brings you to the peace that surpasses all understanding. Your life is established in the rest of Yahweh. Then you enjoy supernatural prosperity. The power to make wealth is released upon you. All these are what a life of righteousness affords you and it takes a life of consistent consecrational fasting to come to that point where you are established in righteousness. That is why it is almost impossible to make a mark in the sands of time without a lifestyle of consistent consecrational fasting adventure. As you observe this kind of fasting lifestyle, your flesh is constantly mortified empowering your spirit-man to be in full control. You shall not fail!

    REMEMBER: Fasting establishes you in righteousness.

    PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. I ask for the grace to be on key with the revelations You are giving me on fasting in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: You shall not be a hearer only but a doer of the work in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    WHAT FASTING OFFERS (7): SPEEDY REVERBERATION OF HEALING/HEALTH

    When we say that fasting springs forth speedily your healing and health, we are just stating the obvious both from scriptures and from raw testimonies. There is no sickness that cannot be terminated by fasting. Even medical doctors, have discovered that majority of ailments is a function of what people eat, so when you eliminate such diets, the body naturally recovers. Cancers have been seen to dry up and die in long fasts and afterwards the person tests showed that he/she was cancer free. Your health springing forth speedily is both supernaturally and naturally. The body has been enabled by the creator to heal itself in some cases that the challenge is not organic. Just going on a 21 days to 40 days total fast can take care of your frequent health challenges, and afterwards, resume eating healthy ensures that you sustain the gains of your fast. And all this is just naturally, the body repairs itself. Please acquaint yourself with the scientifically certified repair workings of fasting as examined on the January 21st and 22nd.

    Your health springing forth is also supernaturally. Whatever the challenge with your body and health is can be sorted out by the power of Adonai as you fast. In this realm, all organic malfunctions can be healed by the power of Adonai as you fast. The Lord Yahushua says that “this kind” does not go except by prayer and fasting (see Mark 9:29). “This kind” covers all types and even ones that cannot be diagnosed in the laboratory because they have their roots in Satan. As you fast, the roots of that affliction comes under the judgment of Yahweh and you walk free. Bondages are broken; yokes are destroyed and whatever that is troubling you comes under the vengeance of the Lord as you fast. In His book “Fasting” Jentezen Franklin shared testimonies of his Church members along this line. They fast for 21 days to start the year. “Eve had people testify that only three days into a fast for a loved one suffering with cancer, the cancer was completely cured! Another lady’s son was dying from a 107-degree fever associated with his leukemia. The very first day of the fast, the boy’s fever broke, and he didn’t suffer a trace of brain damage! One year, only three days into the fast, Melissa testified that her father had been battling prostate cancer and that she had begun the fast on his behalf. When he went to the doctors for a procedure, to their shock, the doctors found no signs of the cancer anywhere! God healed him.”

    You can stand for your loved ones and demand that they are released from terminal affliction in fasting and the Lord will honour you as you will see their healing springing forth speedily.

    REMEMBER: Fasting facilitates your health springing forth speedily.

    CONFESSION: The Spirit of Him that raised HaMashiach from the dead lives in me and that Spirit revitalises my body. As I fast my youth is renewed like the eagles and my health springs forth speedily. Glory be Yahweh!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree that the root of that infirmity in your body is destroyed and eliminated from your body today in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    WHAT FASTING OFFERS (5): BEST WAY TO PREPARE FOR THE RAPTURE

    So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many? and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
    Hebrews 9:28 (KJV)

    “And unto them that look for him” is the requirement for the rapture. Unto them that yearn for him shall he appear the second time unto salutation. Beloved, are you longing for the return of the Lord Yahushua? The thought of the return of the Lord Yahushua is not a pleasant one for many. Young ladies on the line for marriage would say “let Him wait till I marry!” Same with young men on the line for marriage. So many believers want the Lord to delay His coming so they can achieve one thing or the other. They are not even desiring His coming let alone looking for it. The truth is that when you are living with a lot of worldliness, you would not desire His soon return. You are in love with the things of the world and for you His return is a distraction. Many believers would run away from pulpits that constantly remind them of the eminent return of the Lord. The ears of so many believers have started itching at the sound of Maranatha! (our Lord come!). Why? Because fasting has become a thing for pastors and ministers for so many believers. No wonder, worldliness has eaten into the very fabrics of our souls. This world now holds so much attraction and lure for many that there is no longer any difference between them and the world. In fact, they are now imitating the world.

    Beloved, fasting is the only way to keep eternity in view on a consistent basis. Fasting offers you the opportunity to see the world as it truly is – reserved for fire (see II Peter 3:10). This world is already marked for demolition. All the houses and things that are occupying your fleeting time is already marked for demolition by fire. So many believers don’t even know this. The way they pursue this combustible materials to the point of cheating, lying and even killing is deplorable. I bet you that is reading this have not even come to this realization. If you have, then it would affect your reaction both to the things of the world and to sinners around you. II Peter 3:11 says, ‘Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness’ That is to say that if you come to the realization of the true state of this earth, it would compel an action from you; it would compel you to live holy and godly.

    Beloved, the rapture is the next big event the world is waiting for. Immediately the rapture happens, everyone on earth will be compelled to receive the vaccination or whatever they will call it which is a mark of identification to enable you to return to your normal life, otherwise you would not be able to buy or sell or even work. The best way to ensure that worldliness does not have a hold on you is a life of consecrational fasting.

    REMEMBER: It takes consecrational fasting to maintain your focus on the return of the Lord.

    PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. Please renew my zeal for your soon return as I fast in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: The hold of worldliness over your heart is broken now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    WHAT FASTING OFFERS (4): CONSECRATION TO THE LORD YAHUSHUA

    Blow a trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, proclaim a solemn assembly,
    Joel 2:15 (NASB)

    Your life as a believer is a consecration to our Lord and Saviour Yahushua HaMashiach. However, there is a difference between the potential and the reality. Most believers are living daily lives of filth and are being defeated by sin. Their lives is anything but a life of consecration. Why is this the case? The answer may not be far-fetched when you observe their daily lives. Fasting offers us the opportunity to consecrate our lives and to maintain that consecration. A believer’s consecration is probably highest during fasting. Romans 12:1 says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” How do we present our bodies as living sacrifices to Adonai? It is through fasting. When you fast, you are consecrating your body to Adonai as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable. Until your body is on the altar, you cannot live a consecrated life. It is practically impossible. That is why the Lord Yahushua didn’t say “if you fast” in Matthew 6:16, rather He says “Moreover when ye fast”. He knows that you cannot walk acceptably with the Holy Spirit if your body is not laid at the altar as a living sacrifice.

    Fasting is something you cannot avoid. One of my most cherished mentors, Bishop David Oyedepo said that “Fasting is a spiritual hardware without which the software would never work”. He went ahead to say that there is no software for fasting, it is all hardware. You desire to walk in holiness, then fasting is a non-negotiable hardware you must subscribe to. You desire to see any form of addiction humiliated in your life, then you must subscribe to fasting. Remember, it is not 24 hours or even three days fasting, we are talking about here. We are talking about at least 10 to 40 days fast. When you combine a life of consecrational fasting with Wisdom, you will walk in perfect dominion over sin and unrighteousness. There is no hold of sin that cannot be broken in a fast. If the Lord Yahushua says that “this kind does not go except by prayer and fasting” (Matthew 17:21), then it behoves us to know that to disarm “this kind” of whatever it may be would require fasting and prayer.

    See! There is war that we are in against sin. It is a fight. Hebrews 12:4 (BBE) says, ‘Till now you have not given your blood in your fight against sin:’ No wonder the only potent instrument is fasting. What really keeps us from sin is the word of Yahweh (see Psalms 119:9,11) but until you see it, you cannot become it. In fasting, light dawns on your spirit, illuminating your spirit-man to know what is the hope of your calling and when light comes, darkness naturally looses its grips on its victims.

    REMEMBER: In fasting light from the Word breaks in your spirit, causing you to walk in sanctification.

    PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. I ask for the grace to live a fasted life where my body is constantly at the altar as a living sacrifice in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree that whatever that does not please Adonai drops off your life as you fast in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    WHAT FASTING OFFERS (3): PHYSIOLOGICAL CLEANSING OF THE BODY (B)

    Now all discipline seems painful at the time, not joyful. But later it produces the fruit of peace and righteousness for those trained by it.
    Hebrews 12:11 (NASB)

    Fasting is a physiological process and would rid the body of most diseases. We are going to see some scientifically backed process that happens in our body when we fast. They include as we continue from yesterday:

    1. Increases Growth Hormone Secretion, Which Is Vital for Growth, Metabolism, Weight Loss and Muscle Strength: Human growth hormone (HGH) is a type of protein hormone that is central to many aspects of your health. In fact, research shows that this key hormone is involved in growth, metabolism, weight loss and muscle strength (10, 11, 12, 13). Several studies have found that fasting could naturally increase HGH levels. One study in 11 healthy adults showed that fasting for 24 hours significantly increased levels of HGH.14 Another small study in nine men found that fasting for just two days led to a 5-fold increase in the HGH production rate.15 Plus, fasting may help maintain steady blood sugar and insulin levels throughout the day, which may further optimize levels of HGH, as some research has found that sustaining increased levels of insulin may reduce HGH levels.16
    2. Could Delay Aging and Extend Longevity: Several animal studies have found promising results on the potential lifespan-extending effects of fasting. In one study, rats that fasted every other day experienced a delayed rate of aging and lived 83% longer than rats that didn’t fast.17 Other animal studies have had similar findings, reporting that fasting could be effective in increasing longevity and survival rates (18, 19, 20).
    3. May Aid in Cancer Prevention and Increase the Effectiveness of Chemotherapy: Animal and test-tube studies indicate that fasting may benefit the treatment and prevention of cancer. In fact, one rat study found that alternate-day fasting helped block tumor formation.21 Similarly, a test-tube study showed that exposing cancer cells to several cycles of fasting was as effective as chemotherapy in delaying tumor growth and increased the effectiveness of chemotherapy drugs on cancer formation.22

    If you however, have a serious organic ailment, fast under the watch of your medical doctor. The author has read of cancer testimonies disappearing after long fast. Apply wisdom and be sensitive both to your health and the Holy Spirit.

    WHAT FASTING OFFERS (2): THE HIGHEST INTENSIVE PRAYER

    O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
    Psalms 63:1 (KJV)

    Fasting is the expression of the longing of the flesh after Adonai. Fasting is the flesh saying that there is something more important to me now than taking care of me. It is in that longing state that the soul can express the highest intensity of prayer possible. The earnestness that makes prayer produce tremendous power that is dynamic in its working is only possible in a fast. Fasting offers you the opportunity to produce the highest intensity of prayer that can ever be possible from the human soul. The flesh in a fast has been completely dethroned and the soul is at its purest state and can easily connect to the frequency of Adonai. This accounts why in a long fast, once you cross 14 days to 21 days, it just seems your eyes pops open and you begin to see into the realm of the spirit easily. At that point, your prayer even without eloquence or vigour in expressing it, carries such power that blows the mind of the world around you. Most people think that what makes prayer powerful is the expression when you are praying. Others think that your demonstrations will avail in the realm of the spirit, so they go ahead to shout, haul, kick, box and do all manner of gymnastics. But the intensity of prayer is not in any of those things. When you are around 21 days and above in your total fast, without even energy, if you have opportunity to see a demoniac, just a “go” under your breathe sends the legion quaking out.

    That was the difference between Yahushua and his disciples in Matthew 17 where they couldn’t cast that demon out and heal that boy. With all their gymnastic skills and shouts, still nothing happened. But when Yahushua came on the scene, without stress, the boy was delivered and healed. Not because He is the Son of Yahweh, no! He fasted 40 days and because of that his words was with power. You can operate in that realm too, if you can go through that discipline. It makes you to live free from the elements of this world and hell. Fasting confers on you the dominion of Yahweh because in a fast, you had stayed long in his presence that some of His authority has robbed off on you. This was the secret of “Jesus, I know, Paul, I know, but you who are you?” (see Acts 19:15). Demons knows the one that has got that authority, your shouting and gymnastics notwithstanding.

    Remember that our focus this month is AS I WAIT ON THE LORD I AM STRENGTHENED TO LIVE IN TRIUMPH. We are showing you today how fasting produces the highest intensive prayer that can be and that is exactly what terminates the “this kind”, our Lord talked about in Matthew 17:21. Take advantage of what fasting offers. Selah!

    REMEMBER: Fasting produces the highest intensity of prayer possible.

    CONFESSION: As the hart pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after You, O Adonai. My soul thirsts for Adonai, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before Adonai? Thank You Yahweh for the privilege of fasting!

    WHAT FASTING OFFERS (1): MORTIFICATION OF THE FLESH

    For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.Romans 8:13 (KJV)

    We have said over and over again that fasting does not change Adonai. You are not fasting to get Yahweh to change His mind because He is not a man with shifting shadows (see James 1:17 NASB). Fasting is a tool to dethrone the flesh and until fasting has accomplished this task, you have not fasted. In Colossians 3:5, we see what must be put to death, “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth? fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:” and they are not something that you can do once and for all. That accounts why consecrational fasts should be a regular routine for any serious minded believer that is expecting the rapture. But there is a long fast that breaks the holds of these members of your flesh and disables them that they become no more issues in your life. You must take opportunity of at least one 21 or 40 days total fast just to deal with any form of flesh manifestation in your life. Yours may not be fornication, but what of bitterness, pride, hatred, gossip, wrath, malice, lies, envy and jealousy (see Colossians 3:8-9). Even among ministers, you see a lot of envy and jealousy. You need a total fast to lay yourself down at the altar and let the Lord Holy Spirit expose you to you.

    Our text says that if you through the Spirit mortifies the deeds of the flesh you shall live. It is you that will do it but through the Holy Spirit. It is you that is going to push the plates away and come before the Lord Holy Spirit, for this dissection. You can see from that scripture that though at salvation you received eternal life but you cannot manifest the reality of that life until flesh is mortified. It is not whether you are saved, but is there proof of your salvation? The proof of salvation is a mortified flesh that enthrones the Holy Spirit to reveal the reality of the life that is in your recreated human spirit. This is what fasting is all about. It is not a religious obligation. No! A thousand times No! Fasting is an altar of death to the flesh. It is a place of death and until your flesh dies, your spirit-man will die. It is either the flesh dies and the spirit-man lives or the flesh lives and engenders the inevitable death of the spirit-man.

    Even though you are going to reap other numerous benefits in fasting, the main objective is to mortify the flesh. Let us say here that this is NOT the three days fast thing. This is a fast of at least 21 days total fast. If you are busy and needs energy to work, you can try Daniel’s fast and be importune in the place of prayer scheduling like four to seven sessions of prayer daily. But no matter how busy you are, plan to take at least one time 21 or 40 days total fast in a whole 365 days. Instead of travelling for sight-seeing, plan your next leave to be spent fasting. Selah!

    REMEMBER: Mortification of the flesh is the main task of fasting.

    CONFESSION: My body is totally laid at the cross. As I fast, everything that is not consistent with the gospel drops off me. I am continuously changing into the image of the Son of Adonai. Thank You Yahweh!

    FASTING EXAMPLES (7): ELIJAH’S FAST

    And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
    I Kings 19:8 (KJV)

    Of all that the Bible would cite as an example of someone whose prayer was effective, earnest and heart-felt with tremendous power which was dynamic in its working, Elijah was chosen. It is important, therefore, for us to examine the secret of this great patriarch of the faith. And it is not even so far fetched or a mystery, what powered his effectiveness in his relationship with Adonai. We all are praying, so prayer is not the tool of Prophet Elijah’s power with Yahweh. And if you look at James 5:16 from the Amplified Bible, you would see that it was not just the prayer of Elijah that made him powerful. Prayer is good but until prayer is earnest that is heart-felt and continued, it cannot be dynamic in its working. What is it that makes prayer earnest? If we can discover what made Elijah’s prayer earnest, and apply same, we shall get the same result of power with Yahweh as Elijah because Yahweh is not a respecter of person but in every nation, whosoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him (see Acts 10:34-35).

    Our opening text was the story of Prophet Elijah after he ate the meal that the angel brought to him, went in the strength of that meal for 40 days and nights unto Horeb the mount of Adonai. It is important for us to know that fasting for 40 days and nights he was travelling to meet with Adonai as it were at Horeb. Fasting was the secret of Elijah’s earnestness in prayer. When you fast, your prayer transcends mere words to heart-felt energy and if the fast continues for a long time, it begins to produce tremendous power that is dynamic in its workings. There is absolutely nothing that cannot be handled in such an atmosphere. The author read of the story of a young man that was jilted by the love of his life and the best way he resolved to deal with the trauma was to starve himself to death. As the days process in his death starvation mission, he encountered Yahushua and was saved and gloriously filled with the Holy Spirit, after 80 days of no food, he came out a vessel of revival. Whatever situation that drives you to fasting has given you an opportunity to encounter destiny with Adonai.

    Prophet Elijah’s fast was 40 days and nights and that produced an earnestness in his prayer life that made tremendous power available. Listen, you will not die, if you fast for 40 days without food, drinking water only. Remember, as said at the beginning of the month that fasting by definition is going without food. Water is not part of what you should go without. It is utter ignorance that makes anybody to do without water in long fast. As a matter of duty when you are doing any fast that is more than three days long, you must drink at least 1.5- 2 litres of water daily and adjust as your body requires. Selah!

    REMEMBER: Fasting produces the required earnestness to make your prayer powerful.

    CONFESSION: I am operating under a better covenant than Elijah, therefore, I am getting better results as I fast and pray. I am making tremendous power available that is dynamic in its working. Glory to Yahweh!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I see you changed as you fast, to such a level that your generation stands in awe of Elohim at work in your life in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!
