  • EXAMPLES OF DIVINE DIRECTION

    EXAMPLES OF DIVINE DIRECTION

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:
    Exodus 13:17 (KJV)

We are going to see scriptural examples of divine direction and see what we can draw from them.  When God brought Israel out of Egypt, He did not lead them through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near.  So you should be wary of shortcuts; they always cut short the lives of those who take them.  The destiny of Israel would have been wasted had they taken the shortcut to Canaan which was the way of the land of the Philistines.  God knows that some opportunity are traps in disguise, so you must trust God that He knows what He is doing in your life.  The journey may be long but it is better to finish alive than to arrive early as a corpse.  God led Israel by the wilderness.  Beloved, wilderness is not a palatable environment. The way God may lead you most times, may not be palatable but you can be sure that it is the way of life and peace.

In I Samuel 5:19,23, we saw David enquiring of the Lord.  ‘And David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.’ (vs 19).  It is only those that ask questions that are entitled to answers.  In life, leave nothing to assumption.  Also, God is not a one-way traffic God. The enemies came again and David had to enquire again of the Lord what to do and this time, a new strategy was given him to compass behind them (verse 23).  This is the beauty of divine direction; it gives you the strategy to win in the path to fulfilling your vision.  The Holy Spirit is our greatest strategist and if we can be diligent to walk with Him, then for any confrontation, He would give us just the right strategy to win.

In John 5:30, we saw Jesus reiterating the place of divine direction in his pursuit of vision and purpose, ‘I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.’  So the success of the ministry of Jesus was anchored on instantly obeying divine direction.  You wouldn’t need to pray to be successful if what the Father wills is what you are doing.  When your actions is in alignment with the Father’s will, then you are an automatic success in the race of life.  You must be committed to being led by God by going to Him for direction.  That is how divine direction works.  At every crossroad, you must be committed to ascertaining the next step, no assumptions.  Like now, you are supposed to have started asking questions of what God would have you do in 2021.  Separate yourself to get to know what God is saying.  Selah!

REMEMBER:  Anyone that achieved anything of eternal value partnered with God.

PRAYER:  Father, I thank You for Your Word to me today.  I ask that you open my eyes and ears to see and hear what you would have me do in 2021 in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  From today, you shall no more miss God on any issue in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • WHAT IS DIVINE DIRECTION?

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Thursday December 3, 2020

    WHAT IS DIVINE DIRECTION?

So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
    Deuteronomy 32:12 (KJV)

We established that God created man and placed him in Eden.  God brought us forth from the womb into this world.  That God has a purpose in mind for bringing me.  Having come of age, I must seek to know the purpose for my making.  Purpose is the original intention for the creation of a thing.  Man was made to worship and praise God; to bring pleasure to God.  There is also specific purpose for each one of us.  For instance, the purpose of the author is “To bring all people to maturity in their knowledge of Christ, so they can begin to reign in life and ready for eternity. (1 Corin. 2:6-7)”  When you understand your personal purpose, you seek the Lord to know the vision.  Vision is the visual insight into where you are going to end up.  God may show you the vision of the end of your life.  From where you are to the end of the vision is where divine direction comes in.  Divine Direction is the unfolding of the details of the “how” to go about achieving the vision God has given you.  Divine Direction is receiving the instructions from God from time to time on the next step and moves to make in line with fulfilling your God-ordained vision.

Proverbs 16:25 says, ‘There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.’  From where you are now, what path should you take to reach where God has shown you?  What must you do to ensure the fulfilment of God’s vision for your life.  These details are what divine direction communicates.  That it is right, does not mean you should do it. Acts 16:6-7 showed us the Holy Spirit forbidding people from preaching the Word at certain places; ‘6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,  7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.’  These were missionaries that their sole vision was to preach the Word but even though it was the right thing, they were forbidden. That is the place of divine direction.

That it is not logical, does not mean you should not do it.  Genesis 26:1-2, there was famine in Philistines unto Gerar and Isaac was living there.  The logical thing is to migrate to where there was no famine Egypt.  But divine direction said, ‘Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: Sojourn in this land,’ (vs 2-3).  When he obeyed, even in the midst of famine, this became his testimony, ‘12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.  13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:’  Beloved, circumstance should not determine your action.  What God is saying should determine your next step.  Selah!

REMEMBER:  Divine Direction is the step by step action details by God towards your vision fulfilment.

PRAYER:  Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today.  I ask for the details of the next move I should make towards the vision you have put in my heart in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  I decree that your eyes and ears open now to receive that instruction that will make you the envy of your world in Jesus name Amen!

  • WE SERVE A SPEAKING GOD

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Wednesday December 2, 2020

    WE SERVE A SPEAKING GOD

I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
    Isaiah 45:19 [KJV]

We serve a speaking God.  God said in Number 12:8 concerning Moses, ‘With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold:’  This Month you must be convinced beyond a shadow of doubt that the God that you serve speaks.  Moses went to the mountain for 40 days fellowshipping with God and God was giving us hint of their communication when He said that He spoke with Moses mouth to mouth.  I want you to crave that order of communion with your heavenly Father.  If it happened to Moses, then it can and should happen to you.  God Speaks and He desires to speak with you mouth to mouth.  Whatever is written is written for our admonition (I Corinthians 10:11).  In this month, we are going to learn how God speaks to us and how He told us to seek His direction.

God is a spirit and He speaks in the spirit (John 4:23-24).  This is how the prophets heard God. As the Holy Spirit of God moved, these men and women heard God in the spirit and spoke out what they heard (II Peter 1:21).  In the course of the month, we shall see that the voice of God which is heard in the spirit can seem so audible and loud to you that you would think that people around heard it.  It happened to Saul on the road to Damascus.  Acts 22:7 says, ‘And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.’  The voice that spoke to Saul of Tarsus was so loud and audible to him but to his amazement, those folks with him heard nothing.  When God speaks, He speaks in the spirit which if He opens your spiritual ears to hear that voice, would be so audible to you that you would think that folks close to you heard it.

Even though God speaks, we are not to seek to hear the voice of God because it could expose the untrained to the voices in the spiritual realms that are not of God.  We are going to see that the primary way God leads us is through the inward witness and that is what as a Christian you should seek to receive concerning any matter you are looking up to God for direction.  Then as you train your human spirit in the Word, you would be able to decipher between the voice of the Holy Spirit and the voice of either your flesh or the devil.  There are voices in the spiritual realm, don’t seek voices, it could lead you to being accommodated by Satan’s deception.  Remember, Satan has no power but the power of deception.  Satan can speak to you in your spirit and you would think it is God and because you really heard it, you may not be easily persuaded that it is not of God.  So caution, don’t seek voices.  Seek to receive a witness in your spirit in line with the Word of God.  Shalom!

REMEMBER:   We serve a God that speaks.

CONFESSION:  This month of December shall favour me in all areas.  I shall be trained to hear and recognize the voice of God.  I believe that my God speaks and that He wants to speak to me. My ears opens to hear Him now! Hallelujah!!!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:   The Lord shall crown this end for you with His goodness. May He give you an encounter with His voice in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • WHAT IS GOD SAYING FOR DECEMBER 2020?

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Tuesday December 1, 2020

WHAT IS GOD SAYING FOR DECEMBER 2020?

Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
    Isaiah 48:17 [KJV]

Welcome to the crowning month of 2020.  Welcome to December.  We trust God you enjoyed yourself in the month of November with that prophetic word that “In Christ I have been healed and delivered already”.  We are not the sick looking for healing, no! we are the healthy that the devil is trying to make sick.  But as sons of God, we have dominion over the devil forever.  We have come of age, where we are in absolute dominion over the elements of this world.  You should never be sick one more day in your life till you meet the Lord.  Then you are not that category that run from pillar to post looking for deliverance.  Deliverance from what?  You have already been delivered from the place that you can be hurt and translated to the place where you can’t be hurt.  Where you dwell now, no satanic interference can reach you.  Our prayer is that you would be diligent to maintain your position in Christ Jesus and to continue to reign in life by Christ.

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof (Ecc. 7:8).  We are grateful to the Lord for bringing us into the very month that ends the year.  What then is the Lord saying to the King Priest Family Worldwide in the month of December 2020?  We serve a God that speaks.  From the time that God created man, He comes down to fellowship with Adam (Gen. 3:8).   Because Adam was not the person that created Eden, he needed direction and instruction on how to navigate his way around which God availed him.  So we saw God came down and communed with Adam instructing him about the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (Gen. 2:15-17).  In the same vein, none of us created this world but God has brought us forth into this world, it would take his compass and instruction to get to where He has destined for us; without which we shall lose our way and become accidents in the sands of time.

Our prophetic focus for the Month of December 2020 therefore, is ‘I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD THAT LEADS YOU IN THE WAY YOU SHOULD GO’ (Isaiah 48:17).  In this crowning month, God shall be unveiling the mystery of divine direction to us preparing us not just to take adequate stock on how we have fared in the journey of 2020 but also to enable us set ourselves for the coming year.  It shall be our month of inquiry into purpose, waiting on the Lord to know the phase of our assignment and the next turn.  We shall explore dimensions in divine direction, from seeing the value of instruction, to checking if we are on the pedestal where we can be led, to finding how exactly how God leads, to understanding how to access His voice, to a great insight on how to develop our human spirit to recognize the leading of God, to exploring the profits of being led by God.  It is going to be a crowning month indeed where goodness and mercy shall ice your life this year and usher you into a new year with clarity and direction.  One of the great things God will be doing in your life is repositioning you for the year 2021.  You are going to receive instruction on what to do, where to go, what to concentrate your energy on, what to drop, who to disconnect from, who to connect with, and a whole lot of details that will set your sail for 2021 in grand style.  Get set to dive into the secret place of God.  Shalom!

    Happy New Month!

REMEMBER:   I Am The Lord Your God That Leads You In The Way You Should Go.

THANKSGIVING:  Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of life, of seeing a new month. Thank You for sending Jesus Christ to pay the prize for my sins and for the privilege of your presence in my life.  Thank You for giving me the blessed Holy Spirit who now lives in me.  Thank You for all you did for us in the month of November.  I am set for this last month, for the crowning dimension of miracles, for all you desire to do in me and for me.  Thank You in advance for a successful December 2020 in all ramifications in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  I decree that this month of December shall not see your end but you will see its end.  I decree no evil news shall be heard in your life, family and job/business. This month, the heavens open over you and your family for a turnaround your world cannot deny. This month, every agenda of evil against you is shattered now.  You shall only walk in success, increase, favour, supernatural possibilities and triumphs on every side you turn.  No man shall be able to stand against you and your progress all the days of this month.  Testimonies shall be your daily bread this month and celebration unending shall be in your house.  Get ready because as the year is ending, your destiny shall be opening up to new dimensions of glory in the name of Christ Jesus Amen.  Merry Christmas in advance!

  • THANKFUL FOR NOVEMBER 2020

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Monday November 30, 2020

    THANKFUL FOR NOVEMBER 2020

18  There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.   19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
    Luke 17:18-19 [KJV]

One striking thing about our opening text is the fact that thanksgiving and praise provokes perfection of healing and maintains your divine health package.  If you have started seeing the move of God at all in your life, then there is what to do to see the full bloom of that move.  If you have started seeing the healing and strength like you have not seen before, then there is this one thing to concentrate on to see the fullness of that which God has started.  That one thing is heart-felt thanksgiving and praise. Some even though God is on their case and working to bring them out of their predicament have turned him off by continuous murmuring, grumbling and complaining.  There is nothing that puts God off like a heart full of murmuring, grumbling and complaining.  He destroyed many in the wilderness just because of that.  I Corinthians 10:10 warned us, ‘Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.’  Murmuring, grumbling and complaining will complicate your matter with God and let in the destroyer to destroy whatever is remaining.  Avoid it like a dangerous plague because it is even worse.

This one person in our opening verse, noticed that he was healed of the leprous disease, then he returned with a loud voice, overflowed with thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus.  There is a principle here for us to take to heart, WHENEVER YOU NOTICE THE MOVE OF GOD IN YOUR DIRECTION, RETURN QUICKLY WITH THANKSGIVING TO THE LORD TO SEE IT COMPLETED AND PERFECTED.  Failure to do this, is risking the blessing already received and cutting off the process of perfection thereof.  Your business has started picking up, don’t assume that you are doing the right thing now that is the reason, recognize that it is the hand of God at work in your direction.  Have you started to see new lease of favour in your path of destiny?  This is just the beginning if you would recognize the hand that provoked it for you and return with thanksgiving for that.  This is the point where so many people disconnect.  It is easy to congratulate oneself for the happenings in one’s life ignoring the God-factor.  Doing that always ends up short-circuiting the blessing.  Beloved, a man cannot receive anything except it is given to him from above (John 3:27).  If there is anything good you have seen, then make no mistakes about it, the hand of God is the unseen hand behind it.  Ignoring God and continuing as though it is all by your power is not wisdom; it will end in regrets.

It happened to the priests in Prophet Malachi’s days.  They saw the blessing of God and thought that it was all by their expertise (see Malachi 2:1-2).   Beloved, it is risky not to lay this fact to heart that it is the hand of God behind anything good you have seen in your life.  Selah!

REMEMBER:  Thanksgiving brings perfection to your healing and maintains divine health package.

THANKSGIVING:  Dear Father, we are not worth of the least of your mercies.  What shall we say for taking us through the whole month of November, no loss, no tears, we saw goodness and mercies, abundance of blessings in front and at the back.  Thank You for the salvation of my soul.  Thank You for healing my sicknesses and keeping me in divine health.  Thank You for your preservation, provision and supplies.  Thank You for abundance of your Word this month.  To You alone be all the glory in the Name of Christ Jesus Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  Having returned with thanksgiving today, I declare that everything with your name on it still hanging be released now.  There shall be no carryover of November releases in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • STAND IN THE LIBERTY

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Sunday November 29, 2020

    STAND IN THE LIBERTY

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
    Galatians 5:1 (KJV)

We have a life of liberty in Christ.  It is called eternal life we got at salvation.  Salvation means that God has delivered us from everything that holds and binds.  We are free; free to live, praise and worship God. Salvation entails that you were already delivered from sin, Satan and sickness.  It is a call to liberty.  John 8:36 says, ‘If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.’  The Son Christ Jesus had already made us free.  We are free indeed!  Now it is one thing to be free, it is another thing to maintain your freedom.  Our opening text lets us know that you can be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.  This is the real state of many.  They were once saved and delivered from the clutches of the strong man Satan, but they are back to that bondage again.  Why?  Because they didn’t stand fast in the liberty that Christ gave them.  They went back to meddle with the things that brought them again into bondage.  If you know freedom, you will guard it with your life.  There is no life without freedom.  When you are sick and God healed you, you would not like to hear anything sickness again in your life.  Freedom must be jealously guarded.

There is what the Word calls the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.  It is the Spirit that sets us free from the Law of sin and death.  So walking in the Spirit is a major requirement to maintaining our freedom.  Living your life in the spirit is walking in the liberty wherewith Christ had made you free.  The flesh is the greatest enemy of your liberty in Christ.  The flesh is the enemy that partners always with Satan to bring you back to bondage.  For to be carnally minded is death and you know that death is a process which begins with sin then moves on to sickness and ultimately death.  It all starts with being carnally minded.  Beloved, guard your liberty.  It is better to live in divine health than to manage sickness.

Another way to maintain your liberty is to always be at the feet of Jesus learning His Word.  John 8:32 says, ‘And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’  The truth of the Word makes free and maintains that freedom.  John 1:17 says, ‘For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.’  Truth is Christ Himself.  John 14:6 says, ‘Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.’  It takes walking in the truth to maintain liberty.  Your freedom was a product of the Word in the first place so your maintaining that freedom must also be a product of the Word.  Let’s close by adhering to this warning by Jesus in John 5:14 “Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” Selah!

REMEMBER:  You must take responsibility to maintain your liberty in Christ.

PRAYER:  Beloved Father, I thank you for your word to me today. I receive grace to walk daily in the Spirit and always be at your feet learning from you in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  As the month begins to close, I decree that your spiritual life will explode to new dimensions leading to the harvest of increase, abundance, advantage of the Holy Spirit, favour and glory from now in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • COVENANT KEYS TO DIVINE HEALTH (7): THE COMMUNION

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Saturday November 28, 2020

COVENANT KEYS TO DIVINE HEALTH (7):  THE COMMUNION

As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
    John 6:57  (KJV)

The Communion is a miracle meal.  It is a spiritual meal.  It is a supernatural meal. The Communion is the ordinance of the flesh and blood of Jesus.  During the Last Supper the Lord Jesus established this sacrament as they were eating, He took bread, blessed it, broke it and gave to his disciples and said “Take, eat; this is my body.” (Matthew 26:26)  Now please recognize that there is nothing special about the bread that Jesus took.  In fact, it was part of the meal that they were eating.  But the moment He took it, blessed it and said those words, it became His body.  Like many of God’s dealings with us, the Communion is a spiritual supernatural ordinance, don’t ever try to figure it out with your natural mind.  When you try to figure spiritual truths with your natural mind, you will go into error.  ‘27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;  28  For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.’ (Matthew 26:27-28)   This ordinance of taking the body and blood of Jesus is what is called the Communion.

Our opening text says that the life in Christ Jesus is the same life in the Father.  In fact, the life of the Father is what flows in Christ and it is that same life that flows in his body and blood.  So, eating the body and blood of Jesus often, is God’s key to maintaining the life we have in Christ Jesus.  It keeps our body from the corrupting influences of this life.  It is a supernatural meal that upgrades all other meals we eat to help our body.  Living healthy is the main purpose of this supernatural meal.  You are designed to live by Christ as a born again person.  You no longer live to yourself but you live in Christ and by Christ.  The Communion is Christ’s prescription for you to live by Him, “… so he that eats me, even he shall live by me”.  It is to be an often practice.

When you see the construction “breaking of bread” in the new testament especially with the Apostles, it refers to the Communion.  Acts 2:42 says, ‘And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.’  Their steadfastness resulted in the fact that there was none sick among them.  Apostle James later wrote “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:’ meaning that it was difficult to find anyone in their congregation that was sick, so that he had to say in case any among you is challenged with sickness, let him seek the necessary attention from the elders.

REMEMBER:  You are suppose to be taking the Communion often.

PRAYER:  Precious Father, thank you for enlightening me today, Your body was broken so that mine would not.  Your blood was shed so that mine would not.  I receive the Communion today to activate eternal life afresh in me in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  By the power of life in the body and blood of Christ, I decree that every traced of infirmity is swallowed up in your body now in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • COVENANT KEYS TO DIVINE HEALTH (6): OUTREACH TO THE POOR

COVENANT KEYS TO DIVINE HEALTH (6):  OUTREACH TO THE POOR

Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.
    Job 29:12  (KJV)

The poor has a very special place in the heart of God.  God did not create anybody poor. Choices and circumstances of life and often times man’s wickedness and cruelty to his fellow is the reason there is poverty.  Most wicked and oppressive systems and government even weaponize poverty against their own citizen.  They bring policies and system that oppress the people and that is aimed at keeping the people poor and needy so the people will not have the wherewithal to challenge them.  We have seen these things even in these days we live.  Poverty is not the creation of God and maybe because the poor is always at the receiving end of oppression and deprivation, the God of power comes at their aid to crush those that oppress them.  Because of the strategic place, the poor occupies in the heart of our Heavenly Father, anything one does for the poor does not go unrewarded.  Proverbs 19:17 says, ‘He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.’  Your attitude to the poor can affect your health and can also speak for you in the days of challenge of your health.

Psalms 41:1-3 says, ‘1 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.  2 The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.  3 The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.’  In the days that you are challenged in your health, what you have done for the poor can speak for you.  This was the exact story of that precious woman called Dorcas in Acts 9:36-41.   Job’s outreach to the poor was one of the reasons that God surrounded him with a hedge of protection so that the enemy could not assault him and his family.  Your openhandedness to the poor is a strategic key to maintaining your covenant health package.  This is wisdom and very crucial.

One of the hallmarks of a righteous man is that he opens his hands to the poor.  Psalms 112:9 says, ‘He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.’  Look at this scripture in Proverbs 21:13, ‘Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.’  That is a heart that is close to the cry of the poor has automatically closed God’s hand over such a person.  The poor around you is your opportunity to win favour with God.  All through history, we see how people unlocked their lives on the altar of ceaseless outreach to the poor.  Get connected to that frequency today. Shalom!

REMEMBER:  Your outreach to the poor will determine God’s outreach to you.

CONFESSION:  As the heart of Jesus to the poor so is my heart to the poor.  I am mindful of how the Father regards the poor, so it is always my privilege to reach out to the poor. Hallelujah!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  For your heart for the poor, nobody in your line will be mistaken for poor in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • COVENANT KEYS TO DIVINE HEALTH (5): A MERRY HEART

COVENANT KEYS TO DIVINE HEALTH (5):  A MERRY HEART

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
    Proverbs 17:22   (KJV)

According to WHO (https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/depression) “Depression is a leading cause of disability worldwide and is a major contributor to the overall global burden of disease.”  Depression is simply a sad feeling of gloom and inadequacy.  It is that feeling you get when a merry heart is absent.  Joy (merry heart) is the fruit of the recreated human spirit that intoxicates the human heart with the presence of God and brings optimism that is not based on the things of this world.  Joy (a merry heart) is medicine and is vital in maintaining your divine health package.  You see God is a very wise God – the only wise God (I Timothy 1:17).  In His wisdom, eternal life came inherent in it all the qualities that is required to maintain the health of man.  See Galatians 5:22-23 to understand all that eternal life came with.  Joy is part of that package and it takes that joy to secrete all the nutrients to all the parts of your body with maximum benefits.  No matter what you eat, without joy, it will never benefit your body.  So joy ensures that your food profits your body by producing that secretion needed to digest and assimilate into vital parts of your body.  That is why a merry heart is good medicine.  It is both curative and preventive.

One of the things that Joy facilitates is strength.  You see that depression starts by sapping your strength away, leaving you weak and immune-deficient.  Nehemiah 8:10 says that the joy of the Lord shall be your strength.  Joy infuses strength which makes your immune system strong against another incursion of sickness any day.  You must continue to fan the embers of Joy in order to continue in strength all your days.  Joy is a function of light from the Word.  Jeremiah 15:16 says, ‘Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.’  When you find the Word, you have contacted joy unspeakable full of glory.  It continues to wine your life to intoxication with each fresh light that comes.  As long as you remain in the Word, your Joy will ever be fresh.

Another big facilitator of Joy is the presence of the Lord.  Psalms 16:11 says, ‘Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.’  As you sing and dance, the Lord inhabits your worship and joy becomes your reward of His presence.  You should have high regard for the presence of the Lord because there is fullness of Joy there.  May you never be without His presence!

REMEMBER:  The Word and His presence fuels your joy which boosts your strength.

CONFESSION:   I have no down time in my life because I am focused on the Word of God daily and His presence is my delight. Therefore, I flow in Joy unspeakable and full of glory.  Praise the Lord!!!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  You shall never be barren of His presence again in the name of Jesus Christ Amen!
