  • THE WAY IS BORN – MERRY CHRISTMAS

THE WAY IS BORN – MERRY CHRISTMAS

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
    John 14:6  (KJV)

Luke 2:6-7 says, ‘6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.’  The groping in the dark was finally over.  The Way was born.  Angels heralded it with joy.  Luke 2:8-15, ‘8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.  9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.  10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.  12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.  13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,  14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.  15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.’

Beloved, our search came to an end the day Christ was born.  Throughout all ages, people had desired to related with God in a more personal intimate ways but it was impossible because of sin. Humanity lost Eden the place of God’s presence (Emmanuel) and unfortunately we didn’t know how to get back there.  We lost the way.  Oh but what is this sound the angels just heralded now?  It is joy that the way to the Father was born.  We just got back the way to Eden.. This is something to shout about.  No wonder, the angels could not contain their joy.  Humanity just got back the way to the presence of God.  This means beloved, that you should never miss your way again in life because Christ the way is born and today we are remembering and celebrating this good tidying of great joy.  Halleluyah!

Divine direction should not be a mystery any more.  Nothing in life should be a mystery any more because the demystifier is born.  Best of all, we are now in Him.  I am now at home with the Father living right inside of me.  God is no more a mystery to me, all because of Jesus Christ.  Beloved, hope you know Him.  Hope you are in Him. Hope you have surrendered your life to Jesus Christ and living in love with Him.  Rejoice if you have done that because you are the most blessed and favoured on earth.  Rejoice today and share with someone that the way is born.  The Way to the Father, the Way to life and peace.  The Way to eternity in the Kingdom of God.  The Way that has separated us from eternity in the lake of fire.  Merry Christmas!

REMEMBER:  The way to the direction we are looking for is Christ Jesus.

THANKSGIVING:  Dear Father, thank you for the birth of Jesus Christ.  Thank You for loving us so much that You brought us back to the place of Your presence, to Eden.  Thank You for saving me and I ask that someone somewhere who has not known You would see the light today in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  Today shall mark the beginning of unending celebration in your life and family in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • THE GREAT VISITATION – CHRISTMAS EVE

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Thursday December 24, 2020

THE GREAT VISITATION – CHRISTMAS EVE

And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
    Luke 1:26 (KJV)

It takes a divine visitation to establish a great celebration in the lives of people.  This is a season of divine visitation and you must not be carried away with the celebration and miss the visitation.  It is the visitation that establishes a change of story that leads to the celebration.  We are celebrating the result of a great visitation both to the lives of Mary and Joseph in particular and to humanity at large.  I desire that you connect to their testimony and ask God for a visitation to you today that people will read tomorrow and glorify God.  Now it doesn’t matter how bad your situation is, the visitation of God will give you a change of story.  For several years, Elizabeth was called barren but one day in Luke 1:11-20, there was a divine visitation to Zechariah her husband which established a change of story for her.  Over the next nine months, the barren become a joyful mother of a prophet by that great visitation.

Then came the mother of all divine visitations – the visitation that gave birth to salvation for humanity.  Let’s read Luke 1:26-38, ‘ 26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,   27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.   28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.  29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.  30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.  31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.  32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:  33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.  34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?  35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.  36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.  37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.  38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.’

Divine visitation secures direction.  In this great visitation, Joseph was directed (see Matthew 1:20-21).   We have about seven days to arrive 2021 and I would want you to ask God to grant you divine visitation that would give you clean cut direction for 2021.   Merry Christmas Eve!

    REMEMBER:  Divine visitation guarantees direction.

PRAYER:  Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today.  Thank You for your visitations to Zechariah and Elizabeth and Joseph and Mary.  I ask for a visitation that will change my story and bring generational celebration into my life in Jesus’ Name Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:   I decree that in this season you shall be visited in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • HOW TO TRAIN YOUR SPIRIT TO RECOGNIZE HIS LEADING (4): PROMPT OBEDIENCE

    #WordForTodayDevotional

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR SPIRIT TO RECOGNIZE HIS LEADING (4): PROMPT OBEDIENCE

His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
    John 2:5 (KJV)

Spiritual things can be slippery.  That is why following Jesus requires all the concentration.  Jesus says that anyone that puts his hands on the plough and looking back is not fit for the kingdom (Luke 9:62).  This Kingdom runs on instructions.  Just like the aeroplane runs on instruction, you must be responsive to spiritual instructions or your crash is inevitable.  Every pilot is very prompt to follow instructions from the control towers or its crash is inevitable, same is true for every believer.   You must train your spirit to be prompt in obeying scriptural instructions.  What must be done today must not be postponed to tomorrow.  This is crucial in following divine direction. Train yourself to instantly obey the voice of your spirit which we call conscience.  When it corrects you, instantly obey.  By so doing, you are training your spirit to recognize the leading of the Holy Spirit and to follow it.

“The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord….” (Prov. 20:27). Your newborn spirit has within it the life and nature of God. The Holy Spirit dwells within your spirit. “… greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). The Holy Spirit dwells in your spirit. God has to communicate with you through your spirit because that is where He is. Your spirit gets its information through Him.  The trouble with most of us is that we have not learnt to listen and obey our recreated human spirit.  Right inside of you is the candle of the Lord – the torchlight of the Lord.  The Holy Spirit enlightens your spirit on steps He wants you to take.  Most times, it may just be the thing you would rather not do, which most times makes us not to respond to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.  However, if we can learn to instantly obey our spirit, then the Holy Spirit would always lead us into success and peace.

Learn to obey the voice of your spirit. If you are not accustomed to doing that, of course, you will not get there quickly. As we have said, your spirit can be built up and strengthened just as your body can be built up and strengthened. Your spirit can be educated just as your mind can be educated. But just as you did not begin school in the first grade one week and graduate from the twelfth grade the next week, your spirit will not be educated and trained overnight. However, if you will follow these four points and practice them, after a while you can know the will of God the Father even in the minor details of life. You will receive guidance and will always instantly get either a yes or a no. You will know in your spirit what you should do in all the affairs of life.

REMEMBER:  Learn to instantly obey your spirit because your spirit is the candle of the Lord.

PRAYER:  Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today.  I ask for the grace to instantly obey the voice of my spirit in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:   The grace to instantly obey the leading of the Holy Spirit in your spirit is upon you from now in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • HOW TO TRAIN YOUR SPIRIT TO RECOGNIZE HIS LEADING (2): PRACTICE THE WORD

    #WordForTodayDevotional

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR SPIRIT TO RECOGNIZE HIS LEADING (2): PRACTICE THE WORD

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
    James 1:22  (KJV)

The essence of reading, studying and meditating on the Word is to do it.  It would be an exercise in futility to read, study and meditate on the Word and refuse to do the Word.  Even though it has been proved that you cannot be diligent in reading, studying and meditating on the Word without being a doer of the Word because the Word has inherent in it the power to compel obedience.  That is why the greatest battle is to read, study and meditate on the Word because the devil knows that if you can diligently get the Word into your spirit, it will compel obedience.  You must make up your mind that the Word is your life.  Your life and the Word must come into an irrevocable covenant that nothing can ever divorce you both.  Your aim must be to come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Word of God (Ephesians 4:13). Let me show you the process the Word of God follows to produce in you what it talks about.  The Word when received and believed in the good soil of your heart, produces a reaction that is called faith.  This spiritual reaction literally moves you to do what the Word talks about which commits God’s integrity to perform what He has spoken.

Isaiah 6:10 says, ‘Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.’  If you can hear with your ears the Word of God and can see it that is imagine, mutter and meditate until light breaks out on you.  This light is the understanding of the heart and will compel and move you to do that Word which will inevitably result in your testimony and change of story.  So, for the Word to fail to be practiced means that you have not heard it enough and have not seen it, that is the light of the Word has not broken on you, producing lack of understanding of the Word in your heart, all resulting in you not being able to do the Word of God.  If you see the truth of this process, you will never again fail to give all the diligence required to hear, see and understand the Word of God.

Matthew 13:23 shows us the place of understanding in doing the Word and the results.  “But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”  The difference in their output is understanding.  The same Word, the same good ground of the heart but understanding made the outcome to vary.  Understanding here talks about the level of insight each one had in the Word received.  Beloved, you will not have any challenge doing the Word, only if you can see it.  May the eyes of your spirit/heart be flooded with rays from heaven (be enlightened) that you may know what is the hope of your calling! (see Eph.1:17-19).

REMEMBER:  Doing the Word is training your spirit to recognize divine direction.

CONFESSION:  The eyes of my heart is flood with rays from heaven producing in me exactly what the Word talks about.  Hallelujah!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:   I command the eyes of your heart to be enlightened now in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • HOW TO TRAIN YOUR SPIRIT TO RECOGNIZE HIS LEADING (1): MEDITATE ON THE WORD

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Sunday December 20, 2020

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR SPIRIT TO RECOGNIZE HIS LEADING (1): MEDITATE ON THE WORD

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
    Colossians 3:16  (KJV)

In the school of divine direction, the Word of God is the constant.  Everything is measured against the written Word.  The Voice of the Holy Spirit you are yearning to hear is the same voice that wrote the scriptures.  If you are not acquainted with the voice of scriptures, you are in big soup trying to access the authoritative voice of the Holy Spirit.  The truth is that the Holy Spirit will lead you from the pages of scriptures most times.  Psalms 29:3 says, ‘The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.’  Ephesians 5:26 says, ‘That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,’.  So the Word is the spiritual waters and the voice of God is upon the waters.  Rhema is the quickened Word of God from the Logos the written Word.  So if you are far from the scriptures you deny yourself the major environment upon which you can access the voice of God.

Joshua 1:8 says, ‘This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.’  Reading, studying and meditating on the Word is the way to train your recreated human spirit to understand the authoritative voice of the Holy Spirit when it comes.  You must be a Word addict to grow up as a son of God.  Sonship connotes coming to the understanding of your Father’s will and the Word is the Will of God.  You can never grow into sonship without an addiction to the Word of God and until you grow up into sonship, divine direction is not for you.  This is very crucial.  Let the Word of Christ dwell richly in all wisdom in you so you can train your spirit to know how that voice sounds and what that voice can say and cannot say.  For instance, the voice of the Holy Spirit can never reveal to you that you are gay and should marry your fellow man.  If you see a vision or hear any voice suggesting that to you, if you are acquainted with the voice of the Holy Spirit in the scriptures, you can quickly know that the Holy Spirit can never speak such thing to you.

To meditate among others is to mutter.  In fact, the Hebrew word is hagah, which means to murmur in pleasure or anger.  By implication, that means to ponder, imagine, mutter, roar.  To murmur is to repeat something to yourself softly.  That is what you are to do with the Word of God.  Speak the Word to yourself softly and indistinctly under your breath.  That is how to train your spirit to recognize the leading of the Holy Spirit.  Start today and have a schedule to read, study and meditate on the Word.  Shalom!

REMEMBER:  An addiction in the Word is required to train your spirit to recognize His leading.

CONFESSION:  The Word of God is my life.  I believe what it says about me in all areas.  There is a word for me in the pages of scripture that tackles every issue that may confront me.  I am an addict to the Word and it’s training me into sonship. Glory be God!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:   Whatever is forming a distraction to the Word is blasted in your life today in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • HOW GOD LEADS (5): VISIONS

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    HOW GOD LEADS (5): VISIONS

And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
    Acts 16:9 (KJV)

Vision in this context is the experience where God opens your eyes to see something while your eyes maybe open or closed.  Open vision is where your physical eyes are not closed but you see into the spiritual realm.  Visions can come while you are sleeping or while you are awake.  God does not lead us through vision primarily.  Visions come as confirmation of what God is telling us on our inside.  Visions are never to lead the church.  Visions are judged by the Word of God just like prophecy.  The coming of the Holy Spirit sparked off an era of visionary encounters. Acts 2:17 says, ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:’

The Lord would lead unbelievers through visions because they do not have the Holy Spirit living in them.  We saw this in the life of Cornelius.  Acts 10:1-3 says, ‘1 There was a certain man in Cæsarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,  2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always.  3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.’  Cornelius was a devout man, but he was not born again. He did not know about Jesus. He was a Jewish proselyte. The angel who appeared to him in this vision could not preach the gospel to him. God did not call angels to preach the gospel; God called men to preach the gospel. However, the angel did tell Cornelius where to send for someone who could preach the gospel to him and tell him how to be saved.

After Paul saw that vision in our opening text, there was an inward witness that all of them seem to have agreeing that the vision is a direction from God.  This is very important.  Never run with any vision in which you do not have an inward witness about.  God is not an author of confusion.  If a vision is agitating your mind; if a vision has taken away your peace, then discard that vision.  One of the ways we recognize that inward witness is the attendant peace which passes all understanding that follows.  Acts 16:10 says, ‘And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.’  “Assuredly gathering” was that inward Witness.  For the recreated human spirit, vision is not the primary way God leads you, however, a vision confirms the leading and sheds more light on what to expect concerning what God has already told you.  Do NOT seek vision.  Visions come at the discretion of the Lord.  Selah!

REMEMBER:  Always judge every vision by the Word and the Inward Witness.

CONFESSION:  My Father is committed to leading me.  I do not seek visions but if the Holy Spirit deem fit to show me a vision, glory be to the Lord.  Hallelujah!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  May your eyes be opened to see what God has in store for you in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • HOW GOD LEADS (4): PROPHECY

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    HOW GOD LEADS (4):  PROPHECY

    And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
    Ephesians 4:11 (KJV)

There is a spiritual gift of prophecy (see I Corinthians 12:10) and there is the office of the prophet or the ministry gift of the prophet.  The spiritual gift of Prophecy is simply speaking to exhort the brethren.  It does not involve foretelling.   I Corinthians 14:3 says, ‘But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.’  Anyone that is filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues can be used to prophesy. Apostle Paul encouraged believers to desire the gift of prophecy (I Corinthians 14:1).  Then we have the office or ministry of the prophet.  For one to function in the office of the prophet, he would have to have the gift of discerning of Spirit, The gift of the Word of Knowledge, the gift of the Word of Wisdom and the gift of prophecy at work in his life.  The ministry of the prophet involves foretelling.  Prophecy in whatever form is not the way God leads.  Prophecy is only to confirm what the Lord has already told you by the inward witness. The Lord didn’t place prophets in the New Testament to lead Christians.

There is a difference between the Old Testament saints and the New Testament saints.  While in the Old Testament, prophets were God’s consulting centres.  Anyone that wants to know the will of God would go to consult the prophet.  This is because the people did not have the Holy Spirit.  In the Old Testament, there are three people that are anointed to stand in their various offices – The King, the Priest and the Prophet.  The prophet hears from God and relates to the people.  This has changed in the New Testament.  In the New Testament, the Holy Spirit has fallen on the people, now living in their recreated human spirits.  The Holy Spirit now leads the people through the Inward Witness.  So you are no more to go to the Prophet to hear from God for you.  The primary way God speaks to you now is by the inward witness of the Holy Spirit. The New Testament prophet can confirm the Word that the Lord already gave you by the Inward Witness.

Pa Hagin told of an experience that happened to him along this line.  He knew a young man in his church that he has an inward witness that God was calling the young man to the ministry.  But he never did tell him a word.  But on a particular Sunday evening service as they were praying around the alter; he would go round to pray upon the members as the Holy Spirit would lead him.  He came upon this young man and these words came out of his mouth, “This is a confirmation of what I said to you at 3 o’clock this afternoon as you were praying down in the storm cellar. You asked for a confirmation and this is it. That was Me speaking to you.”  After the service Pa Hagin checked on the young man to know if he was praying down the storm cellar this afternoon and he confirmed it.  So prophets are to confirm what God has already told you.  Shalom!

REMEMBER:   Prophecy should confirm what you already received by the inward witness.

CONFESSION:   My Father talks to me in His Word and by the Inward Witness.  I do not seek to hear Him from prophecy as the way He is leading me, rather, prophecy confirms what He already told me.  Hallelujah!!!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  Every evil seed that has been sown into your life by contact with fake prophets is uprooted now in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
    Acts 10:19  (KJV)

The Holy Spirit speaks.  The voice of the Holy Spirit is more authoritative than the voice of our own spirit.  The Voice of the Holy Spirit is often heard when there is rough sailing ahead. That voice comes to steady you in the path of destiny, so that you are not shaken with the waves.  In our opening text, Apostle Peter saw a vision of a vessel coming down from heaven and dropped right before him.  In this vessel were all kinds of four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.  Then a voice came to him “Rise Peter, kill and eat” (Acts 10:13).  Apostle Peter retorted by saying “Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.” (Acts 10:14).  Then the voice told him “What God has cleansed, that call not thou common.”(vs 15).  This whole drama was done thrice and the vessel was taken up to heaven.  While Peter thought on this vision, the Holy Spirit spoke to Him the words we read in our opening text.  That authoritative voice of the Holy Spirit gave Peter the required impetus to venture into that strange waters of ministry.  That authoritative voice of the Holy Spirit was already going to give him the boldness to answer his critics who believe that the gentiles are not supposed to hear the gospel.

The Holy Spirit speaks.  Even though the authoritative voice of the Holy Spirit is not the primary way God leads us, He speaks when the occasion demands it to give you triple assurance on that step that needed to be taken.  In those cases most times it would have been difficult to stay the course if the Holy Spirit did not speak in such manner.  In Acts 8:29, ‘Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.’  This is another example where the task was daunting and it would have taken the authoritative voice of the HOLY SPIRIT to initiate action.  Philip was directed to the desert by the angel of the Lord (that is the expression for the Holy Spirit).  When he arrived in the desert, he saw the chariot of an officer of Ethiopian queen, then the Holy Ghost said to him, “Go near and join thyself to this chariot.”  It was a tough decision to make just under an inward witness alone.  That action needs the boldness that only the authoritative voice of the Holy Spirit imparts.  So it is not an every day thing.  Some people heard that voice only once in their life time.  The primary way God leads us is through the inward witness.  Never seek voices.  The Holy Spirit speaks at His discretion.  Those that heard the authoritative voice of the Holy Spirit did not seek it.  Selah!

REMEMBER:  The voice of the Holy Spirit comes at the discretion of the Holy Spirit.  Don’t seek it.

CONFESSION:  I am born of God.  I belong to the family of God.  The Holy Spirit lives in me in His fullness.  He has the liberty to speak to me at any time in such a way that He deems fit.  Glory to His Name!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  Anything blocking your access to the voice of the Holy Spirit is uprooted today in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • HOW GOD LEADS (2): THE INWARD VOICE

HOW GOD LEADS (2):  THE INWARD VOICE

I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,
    Romans 9:1  (NASB)

The second way God leads us is through the inward voice.  The Inward Voice is the voice of your recreated human spirit.  It is called the conscience.  Your recreated human spirit picks information from the Holy Spirit and repeats that through your conscience.  The Holy Spirit dwells in your recreated human spirit and it is in there that He speaks.  So your spirit picks up what the Holy Spirit is saying and repeats it.  This is why quietness is very critical to picking that inward voice.  The Inward Voice is often the school master and it is important that you keep it tender.  You can sear your conscience.  When you do wrong, it is not the Holy Spirit that condemns you.  It is the Inward Voice that tells you “hey that is wrong”.  So, to keep your conscience tender, always repent at its rebuke.  When you continue to disregard your conscience, then at a time, it will go dead not speaking and correcting you any more.  That is a situation of seared conscience.  Don’t ever violate your conscience.

Apostle Paul says, that his conscience was bearing him witness in the Holy Ghost.  That is how the Lord leads.  On whatever you are seeking God for direction for, ensure that your conscience is bearing you witness before you go ahead.  Stay action and continue to wait on the Lord until you get that witness of your conscience.  When your conscience bears you witness concerning anything, then you can go ahead to commence action.  Remember that the primary way God leads us is by the inward witness.  In the first place, you already have the inward witness, then you can see the witness of your conscience, you are good to go.  These things require training.  You are not going to be an expert over night, but as you continue to walk with the Holy Ghost and to pray in the tongues of the Spirit more often, you would begin to notice that witness stronger and stronger.  “My conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost” says Apostle Paul.  This is very crucial.

No matter how wicked a person is, his conscience speaks to him.  That is how the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, through the voice of our conscience.  You maybe doing hard man, but on your inside, you are dying with guilt. Your conscience is flogging you with invisible cane.  Talking about those without the law, Apostle Paul says that “their conscience also bearing them witness,” (see Romans 2:15).  Now when you are born again and you became a new creation, the presence of the Holy Spirit in your spirit gives your conscience the authority as a guide.  As you keep yourself submitted to the Lordship of the Holy Spirit, He bears witness in your conscience and you can know exactly what God wants you to do in even the very minute detail of your life.  Shalom!

REMEMBER:  Your conscience picks up what the Holy Spirit says and repeats it to you.

CONFESSION:   The Holy Spirit is in me in all His fullness.  My conscience is alive and tender and bears me witness by the Holy Spirit living in me, therefore, I always know what to do.  Glory be God!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  Every calculation of hell to defile your conscience is roasted now in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • HOW GOD LEADS (1): THE INWARD WITNESS

HOW GOD LEADS (1): THE INWARD WITNESS

The Spirit itself (Himself) beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
    Romans 8:16 (KJV)

When we talk about divine direction, so many people have this erroneous inclination that God would come and write in the sky or call them by name.  From today, to some couple of days to come, we are going to x-ray how God actually leads.  Expecting God to lead you in ways other than His approved way will expose you to the dangers of the spiritual realm.  In the spiritual realm, God and Satan operates.  Some are being led by Satan while all the time thinking that they are being led by God.  The reason was that they sought divine leading in ways other than the Bible approved ways.  The rule of the game is that all leadings must be scrutinized by the lens of the Word of God the Bible.  God is never going to lead you contrary to the Word of God.  So any leading that you cannot point to scriptures that back it up or that expressly goes in contrast to the written Word of God is not from God.  If you keep this in mind, then you would do well in the school of divine direction.

God leads us primarily by the inward witness.  When you surrender you heart to the Lord Jesus, how do you know that you are saved?  You just know it.  Right on your inside, you know that you are saved.  People may see you and mock you that you cannot be saved, but that doesn’t perturb you because right on your inside you just know that you have made that transition and translation from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God’s dear Son Jesus Christ.  The most crucial event of your life is the salvation of your soul and if God lets you know that you are saved by the inward witness, then that is exactly how God is going to lead you on any other issue of your life.  You may get confirmation from prophesy from your pastor or brethren of what God has already witnessed to you in your heart.  The rule of the thumb is don’t accept anything anybody tells you that you do not have the witness on your inside.

When you gave your life to Christ, He quickened your spirit.  Inward witness is the Holy Spirit bearing witness with your recreated human spirit concerning the issue you are seeking direction for which is always accompanied with peace.  If it’s an action, you may just have that witness to go ahead to do it with such peace that you cannot explain.  You may also feel uneasy to act which is God telling you not to do it.  As you grow in your relationship with the Holy Spirit, you will begin to understand these things.  Remember God only leads sons not children (see Romans 8:14).  So you need to grow up in the things of God to understand God’s leading to you.  However, the inward witness is the primary way God leads us.  Right in your spirit man, you would have that witness.  Remember that the inward witness is a supernatural leading just that it is not spectacular.  Don’t go for the spectacular and miss the supernatural.  Pay attention to the inward witness.  Shalom!

REMEMBER:  That knowing in your spirit called the inward witness is the primary way God leads us.

PRAYER:   Sweet Heavenly Father, thank You for Your word to me today.  I ask that you help me to recognize and follow the inward witness in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  Receive sensitivity of spirit to recognize the Inward Witness in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!
