LAST DAYS SPIRITS (2): THE SPIRIT OF WHOREDOMS

They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the Lord.
    Hosea 5:4 (KJV)

Whoredom means offering sexual intercourse for pay.  Prostitution, harlotry are its synonyms.  In most cases that the word occurs in the Old Testament, it pains a picture of the people of God leaving the worship of the true God for idols, where they go after these idols to worship and obey them abandoning the Lord God of Israel who dwells between the Cherubims.  It is an act that breaks the heart of God and always brings the curse and wrath of God upon the people.  It is so serious that, warning against whoredom is the first commandment.  Exodus 20:3-5 says, ‘3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.  4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:  5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;’  The spirit of whoredom is a destructive spirit that drives people against God.  Idols are nothing really.  The secret of idol is that having an idol is a direct relationship with a demon.  II Corinthians 10:19-20 says, ‘19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?  20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.’

In the New Testament, Idols after the gospel came, lost their relevance.  The spirit of whoredom in the New Testament is operating under the spirit of the world empowering mostly the lust of the flesh.  This spirit is in-charge of all manner of uncleanness, filthiness and licentious lifestyle. It constantly craves filthiness, sexual immorality, making motions in the body, etc. You have cried secretly for help or deliverance, and you have fasted and prayed, yet you can’t break away from it. It’s a spirit at work—the spirit of whoredoms. That’s the spirit of adultery and fornication. That crave for adultery in you is a spirit, it’s a control by an unclean spirit. The good news: you have power over it! Jesus gave us power against unclean spirits, to cast them out (Matt. 10:1).

It is time to be free from every such entanglement.  Most people have lost their spiritual life and fire to the spirit of whoredom.  The devastations of this wicked spirit of uncleanness can be as subtle as watching a few sex-scene videos but soon it will develop into an addiction to pornography and then graduate to masturbation.  Before you say jack, spirituality is completely quenched.  I command your deliverance from the spirit of whoredom now in the name of Christ Jesus.  The spirit of whoredom is the reason why so many ladies and very mature men are not yet married.  It can keep you busy until your time has literally passed for most ladies.  When they were young, they keep jumping from one hostel to another, from one party to another, from one bed to another and they are the big chicks in town.  Fast-forward to the next ten years, same person is literally living in church after having wasted her life.  The spirit of whoredom is a wicked spirit, don’t give in to her.

REMEMBER:  The spirit of whoredom is in-charge of all uncleanness, filthiness, and licentious lifestyle.

CONFESSION:   I confess that Christ Jesus is Lord of my life today and forever.  I will serve, love and be true to you Lord Jesus.  I am at home with you. I refuse to give the spirit of whoredom any chance in my life.  Glory be to your Name forever.  Hallelujah!!!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  I curse the operation and dominion of the spirit of whoredom in your life now in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • FOUNDATION (5): RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Friday September 11, 2020

FOUNDATION (5):  RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD

Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
    Hebrews 6:2 (KJV)

The resurrection of the dead is another foundation principles of the doctrine of Christ.  1 Corinthians 15:19 says, ‘If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.’  Death is the not final end of the soul of man.  There is going to be a resurrection of the dead.  Some people believe that man die and that is the end.  Daniel 12:2 says, ‘And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.’  There is going to be the resurrection of them that sleep (died) and were buried in the dust of the earth.  According to what each one has done, some will rise to everlasting life, and some to everlasting contempt.  Whatever you are doing here on earth, please know that death is only the termination of your rent on earth but life continues according to what you have done, you will be raised to face it.  In 1 Corinthians chapter 15, Apostle Paul tried to give us a glimpse of that resurrection.  He said that it is sown a natural body but it is raised a spiritual body.  ‘42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:  43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:  44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.’(1 Corinthians 15:42-44).  This is the point that confuses many about the resurrection of the dead.  They wonder how the body that has decayed and turned to dust would be resurrected, however, it is not the natural body that will be resurrected but at resurrection, it shall be a spiritual body.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ gave us the glimpse of what that spiritual body would look like. It would be such a spiritual body that would not need to have a key to access a room because it could go through a wall (see John 20:26).  It is a spiritual body therefore cannot be restricted by the natural forces of gravity, time and space.  There are going to be several segments of the resurrection of the dead.  The first one is for the first flight participants.  The rapture of the saints is what I refer to as first flight.  At the rapture, everyone that died in Christ will hear that trumpet sound and shall rise to meet the Lord in the air.  No matter where their bodies were buried, in the ground, the sea, etc.  They shall be raised with their spiritual bodies to meet the Lord in the sky. Don’t try to figure it out with your natural mind.  1 Corinthians 15:50 says, ‘Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.’  So it obvious that it not this flesh and blood body with which you existed on earth that will inherit the kingdom of God.  ‘51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,  52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.’ (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).

The resurrection of the dead is a mystery but a reality.  So hold it firmly in your heart that there shall be a resurrection of the dead one of these days.  After the rapture, there shall be the final resurrection of the dead where every other person shall raise to stand before the Judgment seat of Christ (see Revelation 20:11-15).

REMEMBER:   There shall be resurrection of the dead for the righteous at rapture and other at Judgment time.

PRAYER:  Dear Father, thank you for your word to me today.  I receive grace to order my life in order not to miss the rapture in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  Whatever will make you miss rapture is removed from your life now in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • FOUNDATION (4): LAYING-ON OF HANDS

    FOUNDATION (4): LAYING-ON OF HANDS

Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
    Hebrews 6:2 (KJV)

The laying on of the hands is another foundation principle of the doctrine of Christ.  The laying on of hands was one of the ways the baptism of the Holy Spirit was administered in the beginning of the Church.  In Acts chapter 8, Philip went to Samaria and preached.  Later, Apostle Peter and John came to see what the Holy Spirit was doing in Samaria because there was so many conversions and miracles.  When they came, they laid hands on the brethren that they might receive the Holy Spirit and they did receive.  Same happened in Ephesus when Apostle Paul came there in Acts 19:2-6.  As he laid hands on them the Holy Spirit came upon them and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.  So the laying on of the hands imparts the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Same is still applicable today.  A man of God can lay hands on someone who is seeking the baptism of the Holy Spirit to help the person receive the experience.

The laying on of the hands was also to effect healing of the body.  In Mark 5:23 Jarius’ daughter was sick and he implored Jesus to come and lay hands on her for her to receive her healing.  In Mark 5:41, Jesus actually laid hands on Jairus’ daughter because the Word says, ‘Taking the child by the hand, He said to her, “Talitha kum!” (which translated means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!” ). (NASB).  In Matthew 8:14-15, Jesus touched the mother of Peter’s wife and healed her.  Obviously, the healing virtue flows through the laying on of the hands.  It is still so today.  You can pray for yourself to be healed.  Hands can also be laid on you by your pastor or brethren for you to receive your healing.

Finally, laying on of the hands was also used to commission brethren into their various areas of service and ministries in the house of God, the Church.  In Acts chapter 6, we saw the ordination of the first set of deacons and how the apostles laid hands on them to commission them into their assignment.  Acts 6:6 says, ‘Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.’  Also Apostle Paul was reminding his son in the faith Timothy to fan into flame the gifts that was released on him by the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.  In 1 Timothy 4:14, the word says, ‘Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.’

We have seen that the doctrine of laying on of the hands is fundamental in Christ.  All of which are still available today.  When you see hands being laid today, know that it is a foundational principle of the doctrine of Christ.  You should also crave for the hand of God to come upon your life.  We saw it coming upon people in the Bible and shifting their levels.  The hand of the Lord imparts speed as with Elijah and King Ahab experience.  It gives favour as with Ezra and Nehemiah.  Beyond the hands of man is the hand of God when hands are laid.  It is important that you crave for the touch of the Holy Spirit more than you crave for the touch of your man of God.  Oh that that hand will rest upon you today, your life would never be the same.  Shalom!

REMEMBER:  The laying on the hands releases the baptism of the Holy Spirit, healing and commissions into Kingdom service.

PRAYER:  Blessed Father, thank You for your word to me today.  Lay Your hands upon me Lord.   I receive speed and favour today by your good hand upon me in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  I decree that the good hand of God rest upon you today in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • FOUNDATION (3): BAPTISMS

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    FOUNDATION (3): BAPTISMS

Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
    Hebrews 6:2 [KJV]

Today we are dealing with the foundation principle of the baptisms.  Notice that it is baptisms implying more than one type of baptism.  The Greek word used here is “baptismos” which is derived from “baptizo” meaning to immerse, submerge, to make whelmed (that is fully wet).  In the New Testament, we recognize three types of baptisms and we shall be discussing them.  First, understand that baptism is the act of immersing someone into something.  It is not to sprinkle. There is nowhere in the new covenant where baptism implied sprinkling of water.  It is to submerge into water.  Over the years, we have seen this error in some quarters of sprinkling water in the name of baptism.  Suffix it to be clearly stated here that such doctrine is not of Christ.  The first type of baptism and the one that should come first is baptism into Christ.  Galatians 3:27 says, ‘For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.’  This experience is what we call the new birth.  It is the initiation into Christ by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth.  When that is done, there is a submerge of your spirit-man into Christ which when is raised up comes up with newness of life (see Romans 6:4).

The second type of baptism is the water baptism.  This is symbolic of what happened at new birth.  Water baptism is a public confession of your identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.  You are submerged into the water, signifying the death and burial of Christ, then you are raised from the water, signifying the resurrection of Christ and as you come out of the water, you signify that you are now walking with Christ in the newness of life.  Mark 16:16 says, ‘He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.’  This shows that your salvation is not complete according to Jesus in Mark 16:16 until you are baptised.  Some argue that water baptism is not a requirement for salvation but Mark 16:16 seems to agree that it is.  Believing and baptism; baptism is the confession in that scripture.  It takes believing and confessing Christ to be saved, not just believing (see Romans 10:9-10).

The third type of baptism is the Holy Spirit baptism.  This is what happened to them in Acts 2:1-4.  It is the coming upon of the Holy Spirit to empower the believer for Christian service and testimony.  It is an experience subsequent to salvation.  This means that you must be saved first before this experience can be possible in your life.  It is evidenced by the utterances in tongues of the Spirit.  The Holy Spirit upon this baptism imparts to you utterance in tongues that you do not understand.  It is a prayer language to help you communicate with the Father more effectively and to help you build your spirit and faith (see Jude 1:20).  As you pray in the tongues of the Holy Spirit, your faith is energized and your spirit is built up like an edifice (see 1 Corinthians 14:1-4).  If you are not yet baptised, please seek this experience.  You can reach out to us to guide you.  It is very crucial foundation for your maturity in Christ.

REMEMBER:  The three types of baptisms discussed are very foundational.

CONFESSION:   I am an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ.  The blessings of Abraham are mine in Christ.  I have been baptised into Christ, with a public water baptism proclamation and an empowerment of the Holy Spirit.  Glory to God!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:  I decree that the beauty of Jesus begins to reflect in your life from today in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

  • PUT THE ANGELS TO WORK FOR YOUR PROSPERITY

    #WordForTodayDevotional
    Wednesday August 26, 2020
PUT THE ANGELS TO WORK FOR YOUR PROSPERITY
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
    Hebrews 1:14 (KJV)
Our prosperity is a supernatural operation that require the participation of our ministering spirits. Angels are ministering spirits, released to serve everyone that has eternal life operating in them. Angels are the errand boys of heaven and are here on earth for the execution of the will of God. As long as you are speaking the word of God, the angels are at your beck and call to execute the Word of God that you speak. Young’s Analytical Concordance shows the word angel to be “messenger or agent.” Angels are CIA—Covenant Inforcing Agents. (The spelling is not too good, but the message is great!) The angels are God’s agents to see that His Word, His Covenant, is fulfilled in the earth. They hearken to the voice of his Word (Psalms 103:20). The angels have been sent to minister for the heirs of the promise of Abraham (Gen. 17). The angels of God have been sent to perform whatever is necessary to establish God’s promise on the earth. The angels are assigned to administer (enforce) the blessing of Abraham to his seed in the current generation. Just as surely as God established His covenant with Isaac, He is obligated by His own Word to establish His covenant with you. “If ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed!” (see Galatians 3:29) Glory to God! If you have made Jesus the Lord of your life, then you are the seed of Abraham and heir to his blessing.
The angels are to administer the New Covenant (which is the fulfillment of the Old Covenant) to the heirs of promise. In scripture from Genesis to Revelation, you see the angels administering God’s covenant to Abraham and his seed. Galatians 3:19 says that the law was ordained by angels. W. E. Vine states that this word is used in the sense of administered. The dictionary defines administer as to “have charge of as chief agent in managing.” It gives these synonyms of administer: manage, conduct, minister, furnish, supply, dispense, distribute, direct, control, execute, superintend. Through the Old and New Covenants, you can see the angels at work doing these very things. The angels are God’s ministers to do His pleasure. Psalm 35:27, The Amplified Bible says, Let the Lord be magnified, Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. Glory to God. The angels do God’s pleasure and His pleasure is the prosperity of His covenant men! The angels are in the earth to prosper you. Hebrews 1:14 tells us that these angels have been sent; they are here. Hebrews 12:22 tells us that their number is innumerable. The Amplified Bible says countless multitudes of angels. Revelation 5:11, speaking of angels, says, And they numbered ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands. The angels are waiting on your words. The angels cannot work against our words. They will not work without words. Even in the Old Covenant, the angel told Daniel, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words (Dan. 10:12). Daniel’s words put the angel to work for him. Of course, our angels are freer to work now than in Daniel’s day because Jesus defeated Satan. Satan does not have the authority he had before Jesus stripped him of all his power and authority. The angels have already been sent. They have been sent to minister for those who are heirs. They are here NOW! So please put them to work to your own advantage. Selah!
REMEMBER: Your prosperity is supernatural, so please involve the angels.
CONFESSION: I am a heir of God, a joint-heir with Christ. I have an inheritance with those that are sanctified. Angels are at work for me today, releasing and bringing to me all that belong to me. Glory be God!!!
PROPHETIC RELEASE: I release angels on assignment to bring in your harvests now in the name of Jesus Christ Amen!

  • PILLARS OF KINGDOM PROSPERITY (5): WAITING

    Tuesday August 18, 2020

PILLARS OF KINGDOM PROSPERITY (5): WAITING

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

    Hebrews 6:15 (KJV)

We are looking at the mystery of waiting today. Kingdom prosperity is a function of the blessing which requires a great deal of patience. This is the eagle’s secret. God swore to Abraham, yet he needed patience to obtain that promise. The Bible said, “after he had patiently endured”,not after he had subjected himself to rigorous senseless fasting, not after he had struggled and sweated it out; but after he had patiently endured. Abraham needed to have endured. Indeed, every man, every “eagle Christian”, require a degree of covenant patience. The covenant of prosperity is not a magic wand, it’s an adventure of faith. “After he had patiently endured…”, not after he had wept aloud. We are not called to weep, but to wait. In Habakkuk 2:3, God said every vision is for an appointed time, so though it tarries, wait for it. Did He say weep for it? Did He say run around for it? No! Wait! “Wait for it. It will surely come, it shall not tarry.” The reason we are wasting is because we don’t like to wait. Please understand this: quick prosperity will always end in grievous austerity, because it lacks the required foundation for lasting results.

Why Wait? Your lifting with God is for appointed times and due seasons, and He’s the only One who knows when your due season has come. If you strive to lay hold on something before you’re due, you’ll be doomed. Galatians 6:9 says, ‘And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.’ Don’t be tired in your covenant walk, because there is a due season. If you’re on your feet when that season comes, you will reap your harvest, but if you faint, you fall. Concerning Abraham, the Bible said: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; (Romans 4:20). Waiting without staggering, undaunted by negative circumstances. There’s a change coming your way, but that change requires waiting without staggering like Abraham did. Job said: If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. (Job 14:14). Your change is guaranteed if only you will wait. There is no shame to them that wait for Him. Waiting is your access to great heights in life.

Luke 8:15 says, ‘But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.’ Though the seed fell on a good heart and good ground, it could only bring forth fruit with patience. In a society that’s ever in a hurry as we live in today, we need an understanding of God that will keep us above the system. God said, “I know you’re honest, but you need patience. The day you are due, I will not deny you. Wait! Wait! Wait! The day you are due, you will see Me at work. Wait!” God cannot deny Himself. Haven’t you heard what He said in Psalm 89:34? ‘My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. So we can count on Him in the morning, we can count on Him in the afternoon, and we can count on Him in the night. Everyone in this covenant has a future, but that future is continually being contested by the enemy. It takes covenant intelligence to beat him hollow. Waiting without staggering, that’s the secret of all high flying Christians.

REMEMBER: The weight of what God has for you this heavy, wait!

CONFESSION: I confess that Christ Jesus is Lord of my life today and forever. I will serve, love and be true to you Lord Jesus. I am at home with you. I am not in a hurry. Lord, take your time as you perfect me for the place you have prepared for me. Hallelujah!!!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: Grace to wait is released upon you now in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!
