HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (7): WITHOUT HYPOCRISY

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
    James 3:17 (KJV)

This is the last characteristic of divine Wisdom that Brother James talked about. This Wisdom is without hypocrisy. In Greek, the words for hypocrisy and hypocrite have to do with someone playing a part, as if they were an actor on stage. They’re dissemblers, pretenders who simulate, feign, and pretend to be something they are not (Thayer’s dictionary, entries on G5273 and G5271). The opposite is what we find in wisdom — anupokritos (G505), something that is unfeigned, undisguised, sincere. Somehow, we’re all familiar with the problem of hypocrisy in the Church. For most of us, it’s something we’ve had close experience with. We’ve found ourselves disgusted with others who we identify as hypocrites and we may even have caught ourselves doing hypocritical things. The Bible tells us “wisdom is the principle thing, therefore get wisdom” (Prov. 4:7, KJV). Wisdom is something Yahweh has in abundance and which He is eager to share with those who ask for it (see James 1:5). As we grow in wisdom we will become people who are sincere, authentic, and live without hypocrisy.

Avoiding hypocrisy is not as simple a matter as it may seem, even for mature Christians. For example, Paul speaks of a time when the Apostle Peter and “even Barnabas” were carried away by hypocrisy, along with other Jewish Christians (Gal. 2:11-14). We all need to be vigilant. James 5:12 (WEB) says, “But above all things, my brothers, don’t swear— not by heaven, or by the earth, or by any other oath; but let your “yes” be “yes”, and your “no”, “no”, so that you don’t fall into hypocrisy.” You’ve probably read translations of this verse where the last line reads “lest you fall under judgement,” but the Greek word here is hupokrisis (G5272). I think knowing James is talking about hypocrisy makes his “above all things” statement make more sense. There is a great need for us to live genuine, godly lives without dissembling, lying, double-standards, and pay-acting.

The word used in James for “without hypocrisy” is used only five other times. In addition to wisdom being without hypocrisy, we’re also to love without hypocrisy (see Rom. 12:9; 2 Cor. 6:6; 1 Pet. 1:22) and have faith without hypocrisy (see 1 Tim. 1:5; 2 Tim. 1:5). Sincere, unfeigned faith and love are core parts of a Christian life. As one of Yahweh’s most important character traits, love is foundational to having Godly wisdom. Faith and wisdom are also linked (Matt. 24:45; 2 Tim. 3:15). I Peter 2:1-3 says, “1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, 2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” We have all tasted the Lord’s grace and love if we’re in a relationship with Him. As such, we owe Him our whole hearts — not some outward, play-acted version of insincere faith.

REMEMBER: The Wisdom from above is without hypocrisy.

CONFESSION: I am a sincere, truthful, and dedicated friend. When I say that I love, I genuinely love. I don’t talk behind people’s backs. I don’t gossip. I don’t betray the friends Adonai has brought into my life. I function by Divine Wisdom. Halleluyah!!!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I release grace upon you now to be true to Yahweh, brethren and yourself and whatever is confronting you today as a challenge turns to testimony for you now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (5): GOOD WORKS

HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (5): GOOD WORKS

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, …
    James 3:17 (KJV)

Good works are simply actions that are good. Yahweh is the creator and definer of good. It is good to do everything He says is good. For example, the Bible tells us that Yahweh’s law is good and is given for our good: “Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good” (Romans 7:12). “Keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today for your good” (Deuteronomy 10:13). Yahweh is the creator and definer of good. It is good to do everything He says is good. For example, the Bible tells us that Yahweh’s law is good and is given for our good. Some examples the Bible gives of good works include keeping the commandments and giving to the poor (see Matthew 19:16-21); giving alms secretly (see Matthew 6:3-4); and even just giving someone a cup of cold water (see Matthew 10:42).

Let us see more biblical examples of good works. In Matthew 25:34-36 Yahushua gives several specific examples in His parable of the sheep and goats: “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

The book of Acts celebrates the good works of a woman who died in the early years of the Church. “At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did. … And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them” (Acts 9:36, 39). Paul explained that Christians should not only stop doing bad things, but should do the opposite. In Ephesians 4:28 he wrote, “Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labour, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.” Before we are converted, our “old man” does the works of the flesh, but our “new man” should do good works, reflecting the fruit of the Spirit. Everything that we do that is good can be called a good work, so studying and applying passages like Galatians 5:22-23 and Colossians 3:12-14 can help us grow in good works.

James even defined right religion in terms of good works. “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world” (James 1:27). James 2:16 demonstrates the importance of filling people’s physical needs, such as for clothing and food. Good works are the evidence of living faith, as James pointed out (in James 2:14-26). When this Wisdom from above is at work in your life, you will surely overflow in good works.

REMEMBER: Good works is the manifestation of the Wisdom from above.

CONFESSION: I am from above. I came with divine Wisdom making me overflow in good works everywhere I go. Halleluyah!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree that good works makes way for you this day for favour untold in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (4): FULL OF MERCY

HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (4): FULL OF MERCY

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy …
    James 3:17 (KJV)

Mercy is defined as that aspect of Yahweh’s character in which He does not give people what they deserve. Mercy is a disposition to be kind and forgiving. It is the feeling that motivates compassion. It is the force that alleviates distress and shows great kindness towards the distressed. When you are full of mercy, you pity those who are afflicted and those who afflict and offend you. When you are full of mercy, your default response to those who hurt you is pity not vengeance. This means that vengeful, get-even spirit is not divine Wisdom but earthly, sensual and devilish wisdom. When you are full of mercy, you are patient with people’s quirks. There are just people that behave odd and oppose everything. When you are full of mercy, you exercise a lot of patience with people’s quirks. What person in your life has irritating quirks? How can you practice patience with that person this today and this week? Colossians 3:12 admonishes to ‘Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;’ The bowel is the inner most being of a person which is often considered by Hebrews as the seat of the tenderer affections, especially kindness, benevolence, and compassion. This is telling us that our mercy should flow from our innermost being and not a fake camouflage. That when you see someone in trouble, something should well up from your depth to show mercy to the person.

Full of mercy means helping anyone around you who is hurting. Our world is full of people that are broken, battered and hurting. You don’t go about gossiping and killing them the more, instead you show them mercy by extending a helping hand. When you see someone drowning, do you help rescue or contribute to the person’s sinking? See who around you is obviously hurting—and then look for a way you can help this week. If you can’t find anybody, then you’re not paying attention. Look closer! Who in your life needs a second chance? How can you show that person mercy and compassion today and this week? Full of mercy means giving people a second chance. Yes they have blown it before, mercy says, try again. Quit reminding them of how they failed before, let mercy erase their past while giving them a clean slate to win. Full of mercy means doing good to those who are hurting. Whether it is sickness, or marital distress, or career challenges, full of mercy, leans over to do good and offer help. Maybe you’re suffering from an old wound that you have not been able to let go of. Choose to forgive and then turn it around for good. Who is that person in your life? Will you make a phone call or a visit this week?

Full of mercy means being kind to those who offend you. Friend hear this, offence is a must (see Matthew 18:7). If you are going to achieve any worthwhile goal in your life, you are going to be offended in people and people are going to offend you, and some deliberately. Make up your mind for advance forgiveness for anyone that finally offends you. Look with pity on every offender. Moreover, we offend God everyday, so we have no choice but to be kind just as we have been shown kindness by the Father. How can you be intentional in showing kindness to those who offended you today and this week? Full of mercy means building bridges of love to the unpopular. What person first comes to mind when you think of an outcast? Who spends their lunch breaks eating alone or doesn’t seem to have friends at soccer games? What specific thing will you do this week to bridge the gap between you and that person with love? Go ahead and show mercy today and always, that is Divine Wisdom in operation.

REMEMBER: The Wisdom from above is full of mercy.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your word to me today. I ask for grace to be full of mercy in my relationship with the people of this world in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: As you function in mercy, you shall obtain mercy from the Lord in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (3): EASY TO BE INTREATED

    #WordForTodayDevotional

HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (3): EASY TO BE INTREATED

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated …
    James 3:17 (KJV)

The Greek word translated easy to be entreated is ‘eupeithes’ meaning easily obeying, compliant. According to James 3:17, one of the signs that God’s wisdom is at work in a person’s heart is that he is “easy to be entreated.” Such a person is approachable, reasonable, willing to listen, to be persuaded, and to yield. He is not stubborn, obstinate, controlling, or overbearing. The “wisdom that is from above” produces a mildness of disposition, a meekness of spirit, that characterizes true gentleness (see James 3:13). This doesn’t mean that this attribute swallows everything that comes hook, line and sinker. It does not mean that it accepts injustice and puts up with unrighteousness. This Wisdom ensures that justice prevails. It ensures that unrighteousness is eliminated. However, this Wisdom listens and seeks to understand the position of others without asserting oneself.

When someone has (or is being told by others that he really does have) an “it’s-my-way-or-the-highway” attitude, that is a sign that another kind of wisdom is at work in his heart. This is the wisdom that “descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish (see James 3:15). This ungodly wisdom may display knowledge, shrewdness, and tactical or logical skill in arguing its point. But according to James 3:16, it produces confusion or disorder, a state of instability and disturbance where nothing is as it should be. It opens the door to all kinds of evil, driving away peace and harmony.

Clearly, Yahweh’s wisdom is preferable to devilish wisdom. Although much could be said about the wisdom of Yahweh, at the core, it is “Christ crucified” (see I Corinthians 1:22-24). Because mankind was dead in sin and a slave to it, Elohim became man and was crucified in our place. Therefore, we no longer live for ourselves, but for Him who died and rose again on our behalf (see II Corinthians 5:15). A wise man will remember what his sin cost Yahweh, and will continually think, “not my thoughts but Thy thoughts; not my will but Thy will; not “my way or the highway” but “Thy way.”

The meekness of wisdom is the way out from control, manipulation, and being wise in one’s own eyes. When one is seeking to be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, then he will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord (see Colossians 1:9-10). He will “show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom” (James 3:13). And that wisdom will first be “pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness [will be] sown in peace [by] them that make peace (see James 3:17-18).

REMEMBER: The Wisdom from above is easy to be entreated.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your word to me today. I ask that you help me to function with this attribute in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree that you receive the grace to be easily entreated in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (2): PEACEABLE

HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (2): PEACEABLE

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable,
    James 3:17 (KJV)

The wisdom from above also ensures that you enjoy supernatural rest. It releases to you peace of mind, peace in your body, peace in your place of work, peace everywhere! Kenneth Hagin tells the story of a time during the second world war, when everyone would run into a tunnel for refuge during bombings. But, there was this old woman who was not seen in the tunnel. Fearing she had been killed, the others were astonished when they saw her a few days later just having a nice time. So, they asked her, “Where were you during the bombing? Why didn’t we see you?” And she answered, “There is Somebody keeping me, who neither sleeps nor slumbers. So there’s no reason why two of us should be awake!” Some people probably got killed while they were running around, but she was at peace! That’s supernatural wisdom giving the enemy a knock out! When peace becomes established in your heart, you give Yahweh room to intervene in your life and situation. That was the principle the Lord Yahushua, the wisdom of Yahweh, operated by when He was fast asleep on a pillow in the midst of a raging storm! Mark 4:37-39 says, “37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” He understood that except He was at rest, divine intervention was not in view. Exodus 14:14 says, “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Your stillness is tapping the hands of the Lord to take over the issue for you. In wrestling sport, there is two by two fight that the only way to come in your partner into the ring is by tapping his hands. That is what stillness does for you with the Lord. Until you are still, you are not ready for divine intervention. Psalms 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” This Wisdom from above is peaceable flooding your heart with peace that commands stillness.

Every where you see divine intervention, you see this Wisdom of peace and stillness. II Chronicles 20:17 says, “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.” The Lord was telling them in essence that if you people wants me to intervene, you must stand still. Wherever you sight this Wisdom in operation, you can feel the peace that exudes. Halleluyah!

REMEMBER: The Wisdom from above makes peace and brings stillness.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. I desire to function in this dimension of peace. By Your Wisdom I connect it now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I speak “Peace be still now” to any area of challenge and trouble in your life in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

HOW TO RECOGNIZE THIS WISDOM (1): PURE

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, …
    James 3:17 (KJV)

From today to the next couple of days, we shall be looking at the hallmarks of this wisdom. These are the things that show forth that this wisdom from above is operational in you. The Lord Yahushua says in Matthew 7:16, “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” The Lord Yahushua HaMashiach, the wisdom of Yahweh, asked the Jews of His days confidently: “Which of you convinceth me of sin?” (see John 8:46). He was too sure of His walk of purity. Later it was said concerning Him, “And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?” (Matthew 13:54). It follows therefore that the wisdom on display in His life was rooted in purity. That is why to operate Yahweh’s wisdom, you must be pure, because the wisdom from above is not cunning or crafty, it is pure and open. Those petty things you engage in like bitterness, strife, envy and other works of the flesh are the things that hinder you from operating in the same frequency of wisdom as the Lord Yahushua did. Iniquity is a destroyer; you must destroy it before it destroys your destiny. Iniquity corrupts mentality and your mind is the seat of Wisdom. It follows that you cannot function in this Wisdom from above with iniquity. Sin is a sinker of destiny. Don’t play around it. Don’t feel comfortable with any sinful habit, because the end of sin is death. Galatians 6:7-8 says, “7 Be not deceived? God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption? but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Remember, Ezekiel 18:4 says, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” That means the nature of God in you, which should find expression in the display of wisdom, dies when you give in to habitual sinning, and you take on the nature of the devil which expresses itself in devilish wisdom – cheating, lying, distorting facts, etc. You have a glorious destiny in God, don’t let sin corrupt it. The cheapest way to live clean is to deal immediately with any satanic habit you notice manifesting in you, with the blood of Yahushua.

Also purity is the highway to prosperity. This Wisdom from above says in Proverbs 8:18, “Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.” With Wisdom is durable riches and righteousness. You are eternally cut off with sin, unrighteousness and disobedience. Make your choice today. Do you want to function in this Wisdom? Purity is inevitable! Selah!

REMEMBER: This Wisdom from above is first pure.

CONFESSION: I function as the righteousness of HaMashiach, dispensing eternal verities everywhere I go. No iniquity is allowed around me at all. Thank You Lord!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: You are delivered today from any form of impurity that disqualifies you from functioning in this Wisdom from above in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • THE SEAT OF WISDOM

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    Sunday May 19, 2024

    THE SEAT OF WISDOM

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
    II Corinthians 2:16 (KJV)

Every car has seats. The seats are arranged in such a way as to accommodate a particular number of people and to give comfort to the passengers. Imagine, for instance, the lot of a car without seats? The driver may be a professional of several years, but he still needs where to rest his weight comfortably to drive the car. The seat of a vehicle plays a vital role in the functionality of the car. Wisdom too needs a seat, a place from where to operate. The mind is the seat of wisdom. As one that is born again, you have a sound mind. Before you got born again, you had a natural mind. This is to be expected since you were a natural man. But after you gave your life to HaMashiach, 2 Corinthians 5:17 says old things are passed away and all things are now new. That means you became a new man, no more natural but supernatural. You also had a natural mind, but after your encounter with the mystery of new birth, it became a sound mind or a supernatural mind.

A sound mind is a gift from Yahweh to the redeemed. Our opening text tells us that this sound mind is also the mind of HaMashiach. It is not just a lucky mind, but the Creator’s mind. There was a time darkness was upon the earth, the earth was without form and void; but the Creator’s mind went into operation, creating the beauty we see today. That mind gave shape to the shapeless world and filled the void with plenty. “And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good…” (Genesis 1:31).

You have that same type of mind! That means you have the creator’s mental capacity. The mind you possess can give shape to your life and fill your emptiness with treasures. It can overcome and destroy all forms of darkness. That shows us the calibre of mind a redeemed man possesses. You have what it takes to make things happen, so you cannot be stranded. That mind you possess is not common, but peculiar. Therefore, you can produce uncommon and peculiar results. You are indeed a man to be envied! HaMashiach in whom is hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge says I have His mind (see Colossians. 2:3). Therefore, in my mind is hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge — and that is the truth of it! When your mind begins to function at HaMashiach’s frequency, you’ll be able to obtain supernatural results the way HaMashiach did. Jesus displayed so much wisdom that men were astonished and said: “… whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?” (Matthew 13:54). Thus, wherever that wisdom is in operation, mighty works are the proofs — that is mighty and outstanding results. Such results as would secure the ovation of men, remarkable evidences that cannot escape the attention of men, but commands their awe and respect! That’s a peculiar mind at work!

REMEMBER: The mind is the seat of Wisdom which in the believer is the mind of HaMashiach!

CONFESSION: My mind is an empowered mind. My mind is the mind of HaMashiach, functioning at heaven’s frequency. Glory!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: Grace to renew your mind with the Word comes upon you today. Everything harassing your life and destiny is destroyed today in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • NO COMPETITION – NO COMPARISON

    NO COMPETITION – NO COMPARISON

For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
    II Corinthians 10:12 (KJV)

One of the things that the Lord will judge is the motive for which you did whatever you did. You are not in competition with any one. You are on your own lane and there is no other person that has your assignment in the same measure and dimension that you were given. For instance, because of the capacity that the Lord has given you, He is expecting you to establish minimum of 100 souls in your lifetime. The other brother right in your team, may have just 30 souls expected of him from the Lord. Then you go about looking at him in competition. You have done 50% of heavens target for you which is 50 souls established and you are beating your chest against the brother that has done 40 souls whose expected target from heaven is 30 souls established. You will arrive the shores of eternity as a failure, while that brother is crowned as one that succeeded. That is because it is written, “But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” (Luke 12:48). This is the folly of competition. Your purpose is different in scope and measure. It is foolishness to sit on the lane of destiny looking here and there for who you are beating. You should compete with your yesterday. You must try to outdo your yesterday. That is how to improve and continue to go from strength to strength.

In life, everybody is on their own lane. Even if we are doing the same thing, the scope and measure our heavenly Father is expecting from each of us is very different. You would be a failure if you seat to try to outdo your neighbour. It was Sir Francis Bacon, who said, “Envy is ever joined with the comparing of a man’s self; and where there is no comparison, no envy.” Comparison can breed inferiority complex where you conclude that you are no good or not as good as the other person. This mentality can cripple action and bring you to the place where you begin to operate below your Yahweh given potentials. There is no one that is like you. Someone may be good and exceptionally good in something, but you are also good in another thing even more than any one else. If you can concentrate on your purpose and stop comparing yourself, you would develop your potential to excellence. But comparison cripples mentality, you must stop it now.

Comparison robs you of joy. Comparing yourself to others will always cause you to regret what you aren’t, rather than allow you to enjoy life as who you are. It will always steal the joy and happiness that is within your reach… and place it just outside of your reach instead. You are complete in HaMashiach (see Colossians 2:10). Nothing is lacking in you at all. Focus on your assignment and rejoice in HaMashiach that gives you strength. Shalom!

REMEMBER: No competition; no comparison. It is not wisdom doing so.

CONFESSION: I know who I am. An heir of Yahweh and a joint-heir with the Lord Yahushua. The lines are fallen unto me on pleasant places, yeah I have a good heritage. Halleluyah!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I kill that tendency for comparison in your heart in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • ABOLISH YOUR COMFORT ZONE

    ABOLISH YOUR COMFORT ZONE

Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!
    Amos 6:1 (KJV)

There is nothing that kills vision, plans and pursuit like the comfort zone. The comfort zone is that place in life where you are so comfortable that you don’t feel like being disturbed about anything else. The comfort zone can be defined as a state of mind in which people are at ease, in control of their environment and experiencing low level of anxiety and stress. A comfort zone would be a state of mind where a person’s anxiety and vulnerability are minimized to manageable levels. It is that area of your life in which you feel familiar with and in control of. For example, some people love to go to work every morning and are used to the routine of going to work daily such that their work place becomes their comfort zone and leaving this comfort zone to become a freelancer or start a business can be very challenging for them. Of course, for others, a comfort zone could be the time they take their meals or that time after work when they relax in front of their television or with social media after a hectic day at work. Of course, comfort zones are not static because they change based on the areas of your life you feel most comfortable with.

According to White Alasdair, there are three psychological states: the comfort zone, optimal performance zone and the danger zone. Where the comfort zone is the stress-free zone which you’re familiar with. The optimal performance zone is the zone just outside your comfort zone where your performance is enhanced by some amount of stress. The danger zone, which is beyond the optimal performance zone, is where you feel great anxiety and your performance is below the performance you can attain in your comfort zone. The Lord always leads you along the danger zone because it’s at that place that you learn to trust Him completely. At the danger zone, you come to the end of yourself and you are forced to look up to the Lord.

    T. Harv Eker said, “To move to a new level in your life, you must break through your comfort zone and do things that are not comfortable.” Another wise man had said, “A comfort zone is a beautiful place but nothing grows there.”. Why do you need to abolish your comfort zone? Firstly, Stunted Growth: If you insist on staying in your comfort zone, you will probably never grow to be more than you are. That means you will always be stuck, never moving forward and never growing. Most people who become addicted to their comfort zones usually end up unable to achieve their goals because they’re somewhat obsessed with doing things the same way they’ve always done them even when it’s not producing results. As a result, you can never really explore what you’re capable of doing and what you can accomplish if you stick to your comfort zone.

Secondly, To find your Passion:. Not moving out of your comfort zone makes it harder for you to discover your passion because no passion can ever be found in the shadows of your comfort zone, it can only be found by stepping away from your comfort zone. Thirdly, To make sure you don’t settle for less: Even though you’ve not found that thing that makes your heart beat very fast (like love or passion), your comfort zone might push you to settle for less than what you could have if you just stepped out of it. Finally, So you don’t get left behind: When you stay in your comfort zone, you will be left behind. Colleagues will leave you behind and people who were previously behind you in terms of life or career progress would meet up with you and leave you behind as well.

REMEMBER: Your comfort zone is a beautiful place but nothing grows there.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your word to me today. I receive the grace to abolish my comfort zone in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: The grace to step into the danger zone that will multiple your success, receive it now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

  • EVALUATION, REPLANNING AND FOLLOW-UP

    #WordForTodayDevotional

    EVALUATION, REPLANNING AND FOLLOW-UP

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
    I Corinthians 13:5 (KJV)

There is need to evaluate and re-evaluate to make sure that you are on course with your purpose. In life, you must learn to be following yourself up on your purpose and plans. This is crucial because things will come to discourage you, to distract you, to engage you in other seemingly important things which are not connected to your purpose and plans. The purpose of evaluation is to ensure alignment. As you sit down to evaluate your plans, you would come to the point to make adjustments, or to re-plan completely. Facts that necessitated some actions may have changed drastically that would need new strategies to ensure you are on course. Except you sit down to evaluate you may not discover these facts. As you go in the course of pursuing your purpose, you may come to situations of total distraction. Distractions are real. Most times, you would have deviated for a long time but for quick evaluation of your purpose and identifying the seemingly good thing that is now taking your time that was never part of your assignment in the first place. You must make weekly examination and evaluation your lifestyle, if you desire to maintain a constant focus on your assignment.

When you see indices that have changed drastically by the leading of the Holy Spirit, you could re-plan. This is coming to the drawing table with new facts and redrawing the plan to reflect the new reality but ensure that you are doing all that being spiritually minded. That is allow the Holy Spirit to be the leader in all things about your purpose. This is because, your purpose is divine agenda and no divine agenda can be accomplished in the energy of the flesh. You require the leading and active participation of the Holy Spirit to fulfil divine agenda of which your purpose is. You must be that person that the Holy Spirit can interrupt with correction on your operations at any time He sees fit. You must not be so static like a statue. Don’t refuse correction of the Holy Spirit, if you desire to fulfil your purpose. You are not infallible. Sometimes, you can genuinely be wrong. You must learn to turn at His rebuke because He rebukes those He loves (see Hebrews 12:5-6).

You must also learn to follow yourself up. Why is that important? Especially when you are succeeding, you can just relax whereas though man is clapping for you, heaven is weeping that you have started to waste time and to relax while there are still so much ground to conquer. You must learn to follow yourself up to ensure that you are not relaxing while you should be gaining more speed and accelerating more vigorously. Your purpose is a serious matter because you will stand before the Lord to give account one of these days. Wake up!

REMEMBER: You need weekly evaluation of your purpose and plans.

CONFESSION: I am set on the course that I must follow. It’s my destiny and I am committed. I am wholly given to the rebukes and corrections of the Holy Spirit at all times. Glory be to Elohim!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: Be rescued today from every satanic distraction in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!
