    TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS PARTNERSHIP (6): POSSESS ETERNITY DESTINATION CONVICTION

    when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
    II Corinthians 1:7-8 (KJV)

    For you to be successful in soul-winning, you must have a firm conviction that anyone that does not obey Jesus and His gospel is lost in eternity in the lake of fire. That is what our opening text is saying in essence. Jesus Christ is the way to eternity in heaven. There is no alternative whatsoever. You must be fanatical to this conviction that the gospel is the only escape route from the destruction that awaits every unsaved soul. If it is, then you hold the key to someone’s eternity in heaven. That is a grave realization. It is that understanding that drives one to attack the task of the gospel with reckless abandon. Think about it, all the people you know now that do not obey the gospel are hell bound unless they repent and obey the gospel. And to think that this same gospel of salvation has been committed to your trust is so sobering to think about. No wonder Apostle Paul said that he was made all things to all people so that he might by all means save some (see I Corinthians 9:22). See what Apostle Paul says in II Corinthians 5:11, ‘Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.’ He understood that humanity is lost without the gospel. This gave him the temerity to persuade men into the Kingdom of Yahweh.

    Come to think of it, people are lost if they wouldn’t obey the gospel, but how many know and understand this fact. Lost humanity can argue blindly with you as they hopelessly stroll into a doomed eternity. Seeing that they do not understand the gravity of the matter, we persuade them and for some even compel to turn to the Lord. All these efforts is because we understand in the first place that it is a matter of life and death even though they may not realize this at the time. To be successful therefore, one must be firmly convicted that humanity is on their way to eternity without hope without the gospel of the Lord Yahushua (Jesus). This is very crucial.

    This consciousness helps you as a person to maintain your salvation because you are gravely aware of the consequences of not doing so. Having a firm conviction of eternity without HaMashiach (the Christ) not only help you succeed in the gospel business but it also empowers vigilance in your own personal Christian walk. Apostle Paul says that he keeps his body under and brings it into subjection least after preaching to others he would be a castaway (see I Corinthians 9:27). That consciousness helps in maintaining personal purity and integrity. You can confirm this fact in the lives of some Christians that do not care about the gospel; they live anyhow. Most don’t have eternity consciousness at all. It shows in the way they run after the things of the world. If you are not actively bearing the gospel, it maybe a sign that you are not eternity conscious and consequently not rapture ready.

    REMEMBER: Having a firm conviction helps you not only succeed in the harvest field but also maintain personal purity and integrity.

    CONFESSION: I know that humanity is lost without Yahushua HaMashiach and that the gospel holds the key to the eternity of all human race. This powers my tenacity in taking the gospel to all in my sphere of contacts. Glory to Yahweh, they are responding positively!. Halleluyah!

    PARTNERING WITH THE LORD INVOLVES (2): PREACHING THE GOSPEL

    And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
    Mark 16:20 (KJV)

    There is nothing sophisticated or special about preaching. Every believer is called to preach. To preach simply means to proclaim, to declare, to publish; to herald. When you talk to your colleague about his eternal destiny, and what the Lord Yahushua has done for him, that is preaching. Preaching is not for special people. It is not for pastors, evangelists, etc. No! A thousand times No! They were a minimum of 120 people that the Lord Yahushua gave the command to go and preach. They were not all apostles or teachers. They were just believers. Some of you go for lunch with your colleagues and all the while you are talking about your football clubs; that is preaching about your football clubs. You could even hear some people arguing about their favourite players from a mile away during lunch break. Beloved, that is exactly what preaching is all about. Instead of talking what does not have eternal value, why not talk about Yahushua HaMashiach. The time is very short. Make the most of every opportunity to help someone make a decision about where he/she would spend eternity.

    You don’t even need to go far. Your barber and stylist; your neighbour; your customer and even acquaintances are all targets. The Lord Yahushua HaMashiach came for every soul. There is no soul that is less important to Yahweh. By all means preach the gospel. You don’t need too many scriptures to preach the gospel. We are called to be witnesses. A witness is someone that has experienced something and is telling about that experience. If you are genuinely born again, you already have an experience to share with someone. “I used to be this and that and I surrendered my heart to the Lord Yahushua and my life took a turn for the great and here I am today; come to Yahushua HaMashiach, He can do same in your life”. That is being a witness. It does not require plenty grammar and quoting of scriptures. You do not have any excuse not to preach the gospel.

    Do you know that your potentials as a Christian only comes out when you are on the mission of the gospel? You carry the power of the Holy Spirit at the baptism of the Holy Spirit but that power only comes out when you are sharing the gospel with others. Then you can say “in the name of Yahushua be healed” and that happens. You can command demons to come out of those they are oppressing and they obey you. What otherwise wouldn’t cross your mind that you can do starts manifesting when you are on the move for the gospel. Another thing is that all that others are running after in life begins to run after you. You cannot be in need when you are genuinely on the go for the kingdom, preaching the gospel, never! All your needs are supernaturally taken care of. Even things you did not ask for begins to come to pass in your life. Commit to preaching the gospel today and see how everything in life aligns to you. A family was always in crisis, no peace. Until they subscribed to the call of the gospel to go preach and as they started preaching as a lifestyle, they were talking one day among themselves, they started wondering when last they had issues and could not remember. Peace like river had replaced; all that by obeying the call to preach. Beloved, all your answers to all your prayers are in obeying the call to preach the gospel. Shalom!

    REMEMBER: The Lord Yahushua commanded you to preach, obey!

    PRAYER: Dear Father, thank You for Your word to me today. Burn in my heart today the fire of preaching the gospel and according to Matthew 6:33, I receive all that others are running after added to me in the precious name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    THE TIME IS SHORT

    Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
    Revelation 12:12 (KJV)

    The devil knows that he has but a short time but unfortunately so many Christians do not know that they have but a short time on this side of eternity. Today we are going to look at prophetic timeline and see why soul-winning is so urgent at such a time as this. Yahweh gave Daniel a vision of what He will do in the end times and it is commonly referred to as the seventy weeks of Daniel (Dan. 9:23-27). The seventy weeks of Daniel is the prophetic timeline of Israel as a nation and people. Whatever Yahweh is doing in the world today, Israel is the point of contact for it. Yahweh’s agenda is in relation to the covenant He made with the ancestors of Israel, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In prophetic language, one week is equal to seven years. So seventy weeks is equal to 490 years. Yahweh said that seventy weeks is given to Israel to finish transgression. This seventy weeks started from the 7th year of King Artaxerxes being April 3, 458 BC (Gregorian calendar). From 458 BC to the time the Messiah was cut off around April 3, 33 AD was 69 weeks. This vision of Daniel and the one given to Nebuchadnezzar are one and points to the same end time events. From the Vision of Nebuchadnezzar, the ankle of that image which prophetically is referred as the “Parenthesis” is the times of the gentles which is the age of the Church. One week was remaining from the vision of Daniel which represents the time (seven years of Anti-Christ) of Jacob’s trouble when the Anti-Christ will break the treaty with Israel and unleash persecution which will culminate in the second return of the Messiah.

    From the time that the Messiah was cut off to His second coming is 2000 years. Some Theologians believe that AD 33 was the time the Messiah was cut off. If we go by that date, 2033 will be 2000 years from that cutting off. The Church of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) on earth today is the restraining force that is withholding the manifestation of the Anti-Christ (see II Thessalonians 2:3-12). The stage however, is set for the Anti-Christ, the only thing remaining is the rapture of the Church. Once the Church is taken away at rapture, the man of sin (the Anti-Christ) will be revealed. The Lord Yahushua HaMashiach (Jesus the Christ) is coming back after 2000 years according to the prophetic scriptures and before that time, the Anti-Christ will be here seven years. It is towards the end of the seven years with the time of intense heat for Israel that their Messiah will emerge, destroying the Anti-Christ and beginning the 1000 years reign from Jerusalem.

    We are in 2023. Remove seven years from 2033, you have 6 years. If the dates are anything to go by, then we have between now and maximum 3-10 years to expect the rapture of the church. Should every living soul around the world not hear that time is running out to make a decision about their eternity? If you are born again, you should preach the gospel with such velocity because time is short. If you are not born again, you should know that time is running out. Unfortunately, it is only humanity that does not know but the adversary the devil knows this very well. Within the next three years, we are specially suppose to be rapture conscious. The events unfolding before our eyes all allude to this shortness of time. There is a threat to have every inhabitant of the earth vaccinated by 2030. What is in the vaccines? You have probably heard of quantum dots vaccines being developed by MIT engineers. You have probably also heard of ID2020, the program to leverage immunization as an opportunity to establish digital identity. Beloved, all these are being proposed to be implanted either on the forehead or right hand (see Revelation 13:16-18). When we say the time is short, prophetically, it is even at the door. Preach the Word! Win a soul today! Save somebody from eternal doom! Shalom!

    REMEMBER: There is an urgency in the spirit to soul-winning now because time is very short.

    PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for insight into prophetic timeline. I ask that you awaken every believer to the urgency of the moment. I ask that you open the eyes of the unsaved to the light of the glorious gospel today in the wonderful name of Yahushua HaMashiach, Amen!

    WHAT FASTING OFFERS (5): BEST WAY TO PREPARE FOR THE RAPTURE

    So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many? and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.Hebrews 9:28 (KJV)

    “And unto them that look for him” is the requirement for the rapture. Unto them that yearn for him shall he appear the second time unto salutation. Beloved, are you longing for the return of the Lord Yahushua? The thought of the return of the Lord Yahushua is not a pleasant one for many. Young ladies on the line for marriage would say “let Him wait till I marry!” Same with young men on the line for marriage. So many believers want the Lord to delay His coming so they can achieve one thing or the other. They are not even desiring His coming let alone looking for it. The truth is that when you are living with a lot of worldliness, you would not desire His soon return. You are in love with the things of the world and for you His return is a distraction. Many believers would run away from pulpits that constantly remind them of the eminent return of the Lord. The ears of so many believers have started itching at the sound of Maranatha! (our Lord come!). Why? Because fasting has become a thing for pastors and ministers for so many believers. No wonder, worldliness has eaten into the very fabrics of our souls. This world now holds so much attraction and lure for many that there is no longer any difference between them and the world. In fact, they are now imitating the world.

    Beloved, fasting is the only way to keep eternity in view on a consistent basis. Fasting offers you the opportunity to see the world as it truly is – reserved for fire (see II Peter 3:10). This world is already marked for demolition. All the houses and things that are occupying your fleeting time is already marked for demolition by fire. So many believers don’t even know this. The way they pursue this combustible materials to the point of cheating, lying and even killing is deplorable. I bet you that is reading this have not even come to this realization. If you have, then it would affect your reaction both to the things of the world and to sinners around you. II Peter 3:11 says, ‘Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness’ That is to say that if you come to the realization of the true state of this earth, it would compel an action from you; it would compel you to live holy and godly.

    Beloved, the rapture is the next big event the world is waiting for. Immediately the rapture happens, everyone on earth will be compelled to receive the vaccination or whatever they will call it which is a mark of identification to enable you to return to your normal life, otherwise you would not be able to buy or sell or even work. The best way to ensure that worldliness does not have a hold on you is a life of consecrational fasting.

    REMEMBER: It takes consecrational fasting to maintain your focus on the return of the Lord.

    PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. Please renew my zeal for your soon return as I fast in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    THE WORD IS ETERNAL

    For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.
    Psalms 119:89 (KJV)

    It is the settled Word that settles every issue in your life. The Word of Yahweh is forever settled. Nothing can unsettle the Word. Whatever in your life that is contradicting the Word now can be settled by the Word if you can partner with the settled Word today. If you are sick, for instance, and you partner with Isaiah 53:1-5 which is already fulfilled in Matthew 8:17 and has become a past tense in I Peter 2:24, then that scriptural calculus can terminate whatever sickness, disease or satanic affliction, the bogus name given to it by doctors notwithstanding. That is how the Word settles issues in our lives. The Word is eternal. That means that it is forever. The Word does not change. It will never change because of your situation. Whatever is confronting you now will never make the Word to change, instead the Word has the capacity and capability to change your situation to conform to the Word. Beloved, the Word cannot change. The Word is eternal and constant. Beloved, your circumstances are fleeting and you must commonize them today in the face of the eternal infallible Word of Yahweh. The Lord brought out slaves from captivity with silver and gold. No matter what your financial situation is saying today, you can rise to supernatural order of wealth and affluence by the Word of Yahweh. If you will be diligent to observe and obey the Word, there is a guarantee in Deuteronomy 28:1 that you will emerge on top of whosoever that evokes your admiration now.

    In Luke 5:4, the command of the Word came, “Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” After considering the instruction for a while, “And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.” (Luke 5:5). You see beloved, your response to the Word is what determines your outcome. The Word does not change but your response can make the Word look like it has changed. Also the magnitude of your result is a function of the dimension of your response. Simon responded positively but not in the same magnitude of the instruction. The instruction says, “let down your nets.” but Simon let down only a net because that was what his faith could carry and you can never see the Word manifest to you beyond your faith response. Beloved, don’t make the Word to appear to be ineffective by your poor doubt-filled response.

    To see the full manifestation of the Word in your life, you must observe and obey the Word. Some are doing half-obedience to the Word and wondering why the Word is not delivering in their lives. Half-obedience is disobedience with the Word. Did you notice that Deuteronomy 28:1 says that if you shall diligently hearken. So, the Word demands diligent obedience. Selah!

    REMEMBER: The Word is true forever, don’t make it appear false by your poor doubt-filled response.

    CONFESSION: What the Word says is what my outcome must be. I refuse to response to the Word in ways that make the Word appear to be false or fallible. I am a diligent observer and doer of the Word. Halleluyah!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I command every situation negating the Word in your life to align now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    TRAINING YOUR HUMAN SPIRIT (1): BY MEDITATING ON THE WORD

    And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
    Acts 20:32 [KJV]

    In the school of divine direction, the Word of Yahweh is the constant. Everything is measured against the written Word. The Voice of the Holy Spirit you are yearning to hear is the same voice that wrote the scriptures. If you are not acquainted with the voice of scriptures, you are in big soup trying to access the authoritative voice of the Holy Spirit. The truth is that the Holy Spirit will lead you from the pages of scriptures most times. Psalms 29:3 says, ‘The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.’ Ephesians 5:26 says, ‘That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,’. So the Word is the spiritual waters and the voice of Yahweh is upon the waters. Rhema is the quickened Word of Yahweh from the Logos – the written Word. So if you are far from the scriptures you deny yourself the major environment upon which you can access the voice of Yahweh.

    Joshua 1:8 says, ‘This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.’ Reading, studying and meditating on the Word is the way to train your recreated human spirit to understand the authoritative voice of the Holy Spirit when it comes. You must be a Word addict to grow up as a son of Yahweh. Sonship connotes coming to the understanding of your Father’s will and the Word is the Will of Yahweh. You can never grow into sonship without an addiction to the Word of Yahweh and until you grow up into sonship, divine direction is not for you. This is very crucial. Let the Word of HaMashiach dwell richly in all wisdom in you so you can train your spirit to know how that voice sounds and what that voice can say and cannot say. For instance, the voice of the Holy Spirit can never reveal to you that you are gay and should marry your fellow man. If you see a vision or hear any voice suggesting that to you, if you are acquainted with the voice of the Holy Spirit in the scriptures, you can quickly know that the Holy Spirit can never speak such thing to you.

    To meditate among others is to mutter. In fact, the Hebrew word is hagah, that was translated meditate means to murmur in pleasure or anger. By implication, that means to ponder, imagine, mutter, roar. To murmur is to repeat something to yourself softly. That is what you are to do with the Word. Speak the Word to yourself softly and indistinctly under your breath. That is how to train your spirit to recognize the leading of the Holy Spirit. Start today and have a schedule to read, study and meditate on the Word. Shalom!

    REMEMBER: An addiction to the Word is required to train your spirit to recognize His leading.

    CONFESSION: The Word of Yahweh is my life. I believe what it says about me in all areas. There is a word for me in the pages of scripture that tackles every issue that may confronts me. I am an addict to the Word and it’s training me into sonship. Glory be Yahweh!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: Whatever is forming a distraction to the Word in your life is blasted now by fire in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    The Lord Yahushua commanded us to preach the gospel to all the peoples of the nations of the earth. Nobody is exempted from hearing the gospel. By all means, we are to reach everyone with the gospel. The gospel is a very capital intensive enterprise. It require money to do even the least venture in respect to the spreading of the gospel. As we reach each person, materials to help them grow in HaMashiach are made available which include tracts, handbills, booklets, pamphlets, books etc. Outreaches require public address systems, musical equipment, medical aids and equipment, etc. In the missions field, there is need to build churches, build houses for missionaries, provide amenities for the community, build schools, hospitals, etc. All these aforementioned are capital intensive projects that goes with preaching the gospel. Even in the urban areas, when you go out for evangelism, you will be met with real-time needs of people that needs to be attended to. In hospital evangelism, there are hospital bills of people who are well but couldn’t go home because they have not been able to come up with the hospital bill. These are real life needs we see in the harvest field. Beloved, Yahweh has put money into your hands not for you to live luxury lifestyle, but for the gospel. There are places you cannot go to because of your engagements that your money can send someone to preach there. Missionaries are being sponsored. There are people in the most remote areas of India, China, Saudi Arabia preaching the gospel as missionaries. It takes huge finances to do all those.

    I want you to ask yourself questions today. “What value is the money Yahweh has given me in relation to the gospel? What am I doing now in terms of giving to the gospel, if at all I am giving, is it the best I can do? Can I stand before the Lord now and beat my chest and say that what You gave me went to the gospel?” Remember that whatever you think you have today, was given to you by the Lord Yahushua. I Corinthians 4:7 says, ‘For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?’ The money you are keeping for your grandchildren, you are stocking it for the anti-HaMashiach. There is no time and the best you can do for your children and upcoming generation is to serve the Lord and help them to do same. Whatever resources Yahweh gave to this generation is to reach the people of this generation. Stop the foolishness of banking for the next generation while souls are perishing.

    You are going to stand before the judgment seat of HaMashiach and account for how you used the money He gave you for the gospel. You have two cars but you still want to buy the latest but you cannot drop a million for missionary work. What sort of a Christian are you? You can buy very costly designer clothes but cannot contribute to build missionaries a hut over their heads. Everything you are acquiring on earth is just for the fire. See what I Peter 3:10 says, ‘But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.’ If I say that it is foolishness to live for things, you may think it is an insult but how wise is it to live for only things that will burn up? You will give account on how you spent every dime that came into your hands. Selah!

    REMEMBER: Yahweh is giving you money for the spread of the gospel.

    CONFESSION: I am a big time financier of the gospel. My money is talking in the high places of the gospel work. Where I cannot go by reason of distance, I send my money to go for me. By all means, I am preaching the gospel, with my lifestyle, words and in cash. Glory be Yahweh!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree that passion for the spread of the gospel engulf your heart from now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    THE TIME IS SHORT

    Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
    Revelation 12:12 (KJV)

    The devil knows that he has but a short time but unfortunately so many believers do not know that they have but a short time on this side of eternity. Today we are going to look at prophetic timeline and see why soul-winning is so urgent at such a time as this. Yahweh gave Daniel a vision of what He will do in the end times and it is commonly referred to as the seventy weeks of Daniel (Dan. 9:23-27). The seventy weeks of Daniel is the prophetic timeline of Israel as a nation and people. Whatever Yahweh is doing in the world today, Israel is the point of contact for it. Yahweh’s agenda is in relation to the covenant He made with the ancestors of Israel, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In prophetic language, one week is equal to seven years. So seventy weeks is equal to 490 years. Yahweh said that seventy weeks is given to Israel to finish transgression. This seventy weeks started from the 7th year of King Artaxerxes being April 3, 458 BC (Gregorian calendar). From 458 BC to the time the Messiah was cut off around April 3, 33 AD was 69 weeks. This vision of Daniel and the one given to Nebuchadnezzar are one and points to the same end time events. From the Vision of Nebuchadnezzar, the ankle of that image which prophetically is referred as the “Parenthesis” is the times of the gentles which is the age of the Church. One week was remaining from the vision of Daniel which represents the time (seven years of Anti-HaMashiach) of Jacob’s trouble when the Anti-HaMashiach will break the treaty with Israel and unleash persecution which will culminate in the second return of the Messiah.

    From the time that the Messiah was cut off to His second coming is 2000 years. Some Theologians believe that AD 33 was the time the Messiah was cut off. If we go by that date, 2033 will be 2000 years from that cutting off. The Church of Yahushua HaMashiach on earth today is the restraining forces that is withholding the manifestation of the Anti-HaMashiach (II Thessalonians 2:3-12). The stage however, is set for the Anti-HaMashiach, the only thing remaining is the rapture of the Church. Once the Church is taken away at rapture, the man of sin (the Anti-HaMashiach) will be revealed. Yahushua HaMashiach is coming back after 2000 years according to the prophetic scriptures and before that time, the Anti-HaMashiach will be here seven years. It is towards the end of the seven years with the time of intense heat for Israel that their Messiah will emerge, destroying the Anti-HaMashiach and beginning the 1000 years reign from Jerusalem.

    We are in 2021. Remove seven years from 2033, you have 5 years. If the dates are anything to go by, then we have between now and maximum 5-10 years to expect the rapture of the church. Should every living soul around the world not hear that time is running out to make a decision about their eternity? If you are born again, you should preach the gospel with such velocity because time is short. If you are not born again, you should know that time is running out. Unfortunately it is only humanity that does not know but the adversary the devil knows this very well. Within the next six years, we are specially suppose to be rapture conscious. The events unfolding before our eyes all allude to this shortness of time. There is a threat to have every inhabitant of the earth vaccinated by 2030. What is in the vaccines? You have probably heard of quantum dots vaccines being developed by MIT engineers. You have probably also heard of ID2020, the program to leverage immunization as an opportunity to establish digital identity. Beloved, all these are being proposed to be implanted either on the forehead or right hand (see Revelation 13:16-18). When we say the time is short, prophetically, it is even at the door. Preach the Word! Win a soul today! Save somebody from eternal doom! Shalom!

    REMEMBER: There is an urgency in the spirit to soul-winning now because time is very short.

    PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for insight into prophetic timeline. I ask that you awaken every believer to the urgency of the moment. I ask that you open the eyes of the unsaved to the light of the glorious gospel today in Yahushua Name Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: Everything that makes you at ease in Zion is cursed today in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN SOUL-WINNING (6): A FIRM CONVICTION ON ETERNITY

    when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
    II Corinthians 1:7-8 (KJV)

    For you to be successful in soul-winning, you must have a firm conviction that anyone that does not obey Jesus and His gospel is lost in eternity in the lake of fire. That is what our opening text is saying in essence. Jesus Christ is the way to eternity in heaven. There is no alternative whatsoever. You must be fanatical to this conviction that the gospel is the only escape route from the destruction that awaits every unsaved soul. If it is, then you hold the key to someone’s eternity in heaven. That is a grave realization. It is that understanding that drives one to attack the task of the gospel with reckless abandon. Think about it, all the people you know now that do not obey the gospel are hell bound unless they repent and obey the gospel. And to think that this same gospel of salvation has been committed to your trust is so sobering to think about. No wonder Apostle Paul said that he was made all things to all people so that he might by all means save some (I Corinthians 9:22). See what Apostle Paul says in II Corinthians 5:11, ‘Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.’ He understood that humanity is lost without the gospel. This gave him the temerity to persuade men into the Kingdom of God.

    Come to think of it, people are lost if they wouldn’t obey the gospel, but how many know and understand this fact. Lost humanity can argue blindly with you as they hopelessly stroll into a doomed eternity. Seeing that they do not understand the gravity of the matter, we persuade them and for some even compel to turn to the Lord. All these efforts is because we understand in the first place that it is a matter of life and death even though they may not realize this at the time. To be successful therefore, one must be firmly convicted that humanity is on their way to eternity without hope without the gospel of the Lord Jesus. This is very crucial.

    This consciousness helps you as a person to maintain your salvation because you are gravely aware of the consequences of not doing so. Having a firm conviction of eternity without Christ not only help you succeed in the gospel business but it also empowers vigilance in your own personal Christian walk. Apostle Paul says that he keeps his body under and brings it into subjection least after preaching to others he would be a castaway (see I Corinthians 9:27). That consciousness helps in maintaining personal purity and integrity. You can confirm this fact in the lives of some Christians that do not care about the gospel; they live anyhow. Most don’t have eternity consciousness at all. It shows in the way they run after the things of the world. If you are not actively bearing the gospel, it maybe a sign that you are not eternity conscious and consequently not rapture ready.

    REMEMBER: Having a firm conviction helps you not only succeed in the harvest field but also maintain personal purity and integrity.

    CONFESSION: I know that humanity is lost without Christ Jesus and that the gospel holds the key to the eternity of all human race. This powers my tenacity in taking the gospel to all in my sphere of contacts. Glory to God, they are responding positively!. Hallelujah!

    YOU ARE THE WATCHMAN

    Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
    Ezekiel 3:17 [KJV]

    A watchman is a guard who keeps watch. As a believer; one who has received the kingdom in his heart, you are a watchman over the people in your world. God is holding you accountable as a son; one who is fully developed to take authority and responsibility over your world. God is saying to you today, “Son/daughter of man, I have made you a watchman unto your world”. A watchman is an intercessor who stands before God on behalf of the people and before the people on behalf of God. You are a watchman and God expects you to inform everyone in your world that doomsday is at hand. The day that God will judge the world by Christ is at hand (see Acts 17:31). But do people in your world know this? Do they know that the age is closing up? Do they know that it doesn’t matter how long or short you live on earth, one day you will open your eyes in the zones where time is no more? How can they know it if you refuse to tell them? They can not hear except their watchman takes responsibility to fulfill his/her ministry of warning them to escape the imminent danger. Beloved, you are a watchman God has placed in your sphere of contacts to warn them. Christianity is not a religion. It is a call to escape the impending doom.

    Have you thought about it that God didn’t come in Christ to establish a religion? You cannot be talking about religion when lives are at stake. God knew that the eternal destiny of man was at stake. Igbo adage says “the person whose house is on fire, does not pursue rats”. God is in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. God knows what is at stake – the soul of man perishing in hell. He did something about it. He gave Jesus Christ to be the propitiation for our sins. Now the onus is on you to tell those who haven’t heard. Tell those who are in the valley of decision. Let them decide to accept or reject the offer of salvation. You are a watchman to warn all in your sphere of contacts. Jesus says as the Father has sent Him so He has sent us (see John 20:21). Will you break the chain? Somebody probably told you and got you saved. Someone did to you what God is asking you to do to someone else.

    There is a consequence for failure. Hear what God says in Ezekiel 3:18, ‘When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.’ Can you imagine God requiring the blood of people in your world at your hand just because you failed to let them hear the gospel enough to either accept or reject it. If you are a medical doctor, you are a watchman medical doctor who God is expecting to tell all his/her patients, family, friends and colleagues that “hey, have you heard, doomsday is approaching fast, have you guaranteed your escape?” and from there you share the gospel with them. Same applies to you no matter what your career/business is. God is counting on you to be responsible. Selah!

    REMEMBER: God is expecting you to warn everyone in your world of the impending doom.

    CONFESSION: I believe that God came in the person of Christ, paid the penalty for my sins and provided eternal life for me and everyone in my sphere. I am committed to warning everyone that doomsday is at hand. So help me Lord!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I command that your heart is set on fire for the gospel today. No blood of any soul will be required at your hand for negligence in Jesus name Amen!
