    THE NATURE OF SIN (1): SIN IS DECEPTIVE

    But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day? lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
    Hebrews 3:13 [KJV]

    The problem with sin is the nature thereof. Sin is deceptive. It causes one to believe what is not true or to fail to believe what is true. Sin is death in disguise. But sin will make you believe that it is enjoyment and pleasures without consequences. Sin cause one to believe that there is nothing that will happen. But we have seen that sin kills. Sin destroys whatever it comes into contact with. Sin is at the root of destructions of marriage, business, career, education, etc. A man that drinks believes that he is enjoying but that is deception of sin because he is destroying his liver and vital organs with alcohol. A young woman that is jumping from one bed to another, from one hotel to another thinks that she is happening, without knowing that she is a walking corpse, according to the Bible (see I Timothy 5:6). In plain terms a person who is deceived by definition does not even know they are deceived! And this is the deadly effect of sin in our lives – sin so alters our thinking that we do not even realize we are deceived when we sin!

    Spurgeon remarked, “Sin slyly insinuates itself and by slow degrees prevails, therefore must we carefully guard against it.” The first ever record of sin was the work of deception. Genesis 3:13 (NASB) says, ‘Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”’ Indeed, he is the one who is “more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God made” (see Genesis 3:1) and who continues to sow his deceptive seeds of temptation from beginning to end (of our life and of this present evil age). 2 Corinthians 11:3 says, “But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.” You are giving bribes and getting jobs but little do you know that you are already deceived by sin because it has failed to show you the other side of the coin which is premature death. Jeremiah 17:11 says, “As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.” The deceptiveness of sin will never allow you to have an inch of premonition of death as a result of ill-gotten wealth.

    You may be doing wrong now and it is completely hidden from the eyes of people and sin has convinced you that you are free. But it has refused to show you that no one ever need see you, that sin will find you out, it is only a matter of time and bring you shame, reproach and even death. Number 32:23 notes “But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.” If you are living in any sin, you are being deceive to think that it is not harmful to you but know for sure today, that sin kills and there is no small sin. Selah!

    REMEMBER: Sin is killing you, if you don’t know this, you are being deceived.

    CONFESSION: Sin does not have dominion over me because I am a new creation with the nature of righteousness. I function in holiness. I know that sin is dangerous and deadly, therefore, I do not play with it. Thank You Lord!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I command that scale to fall off your eyes today. That thing that makes you to toil with sin (death) is broken over your life now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    IT IS WISDOM TO KNOW YOUR PURPOSE

    Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
    Jeremiah 1:5 (AMPC)

    Purpose is the original intention for the creation of a thing. Purpose is the reason for the making of a thing. Purpose is the thought in the mind of the manufacturer that necessitated the making of a thing. Nothing that is created is without a purpose. But the purpose of a thing cannot be known from the thing. You cannot ask a mobile phone for instance, “what is your purpose?” It does not know its purpose. Purpose is only known from the marker or manufacturer of a product. That is the reason, every manufacturer accompanies their product with a manual that describes the purpose, functions and maintenance of its product. If you want to know the purpose, functions and how to maintain the mobile phone, it behoves on you to consult the manufacturer’s manual. So many people carry mobile phones that are laden with extraordinary functions beyond texting, calling and receiving calls, but are not making use of those functions because they are ignorant that those functions exist in those phones they are using. Man is a product of Yahweh. Genesis 1:27 says, ‘So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.’ Beloved, you are not a biological accident. No matter, how you came, you are a product of pre-ordination of Yahweh. He picked you, out of the millions competing spermatozoa released. You are not an accident.

    Purpose is the key to life. Without purpose, life has no meaning. A lack of purpose and the impending tragedy that results from its absence is found not only in people but in all things. When elements of nature lose their purpose, chaos and destruction are the results. When nations, societies, communities, organizations, friendships, marriages, clubs, churches, countries or tribes lose their sense of purpose and significance, then confusion, frustration, discouragement, disillusionment and corporate suicide—whether gradual or instant— reign. Purpose is the master of motivation and the mother of commitment It is the source of enthusiasm and the womb of perseverance. Purpose gives birth to hope and instils the passion to act. It is the common denominator that gives every creature an element of distinction. This guiding sense of purpose is more than an orientation towards a goal. Rather, it is a deep awareness that a common vision encompasses all life and existence.

    Having arrived, it takes wisdom to go back to the maker and ask, “Lord, why did you create me?” “Why am I here?” The foolish has no such inclination. Wisdom makes you restless until you have aligned with the purpose for your making. Pause today and ask yourself Purpose questions. Selah!

    REMEMBER: Purpose is the reason for your making.

    PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. Father, you are my maker and I come to you today to ask you to show me that very reason that you brought me here for in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: As you align to purpose, I decree today that systems and individuals holding what belongs to you come under the pressure of the Holy Spirit to release yours into your hands. Your hands shall not be dry again. I curse empty-handedness now and release you into overflow of resources in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

    TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN SOUL-WINNING (6): A FIRM CONVICTION ON ETERNITY

    when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
    II Corinthians 1:7-8 (KJV)

    For you to be successful in soul-winning, you must have a firm conviction that anyone that does not obey Jesus and His gospel is lost in eternity in the lake of fire. That is what our opening text is saying in essence. Jesus Christ is the way to eternity in heaven. There is no alternative whatsoever. You must be fanatical to this conviction that the gospel is the only escape route from the destruction that awaits every unsaved soul. If it is, then you hold the key to someone’s eternity in heaven. That is a grave realization. It is that understanding that drives one to attack the task of the gospel with reckless abandon. Think about it, all the people you know now that do not obey the gospel are hell bound unless they repent and obey the gospel. And to think that this same gospel of salvation has been committed to your trust is so sobering to think about. No wonder Apostle Paul said that he was made all things to all people so that he might by all means save some (I Corinthians 9:22). See what Apostle Paul says in II Corinthians 5:11, ‘Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.’ He understood that humanity is lost without the gospel. This gave him the temerity to persuade men into the Kingdom of God.

    Come to think of it, people are lost if they wouldn’t obey the gospel, but how many know and understand this fact. Lost humanity can argue blindly with you as they hopelessly stroll into a doomed eternity. Seeing that they do not understand the gravity of the matter, we persuade them and for some even compel to turn to the Lord. All these efforts is because we understand in the first place that it is a matter of life and death even though they may not realize this at the time. To be successful therefore, one must be firmly convicted that humanity is on their way to eternity without hope without the gospel of the Lord Jesus. This is very crucial.

    This consciousness helps you as a person to maintain your salvation because you are gravely aware of the consequences of not doing so. Having a firm conviction of eternity without Christ not only help you succeed in the gospel business but it also empowers vigilance in your own personal Christian walk. Apostle Paul says that he keeps his body under and brings it into subjection least after preaching to others he would be a castaway (see I Corinthians 9:27). That consciousness helps in maintaining personal purity and integrity. You can confirm this fact in the lives of some Christians that do not care about the gospel; they live anyhow. Most don’t have eternity consciousness at all. It shows in the way they run after the things of the world. If you are not actively bearing the gospel, it maybe a sign that you are not eternity conscious and consequently not rapture ready.

    REMEMBER: Having a firm conviction helps you not only succeed in the harvest field but also maintain personal purity and integrity.

    CONFESSION: I know that humanity is lost without Christ Jesus and that the gospel holds the key to the eternity of all human race. This powers my tenacity in taking the gospel to all in my sphere of contacts. Glory to God, they are responding positively!. Hallelujah!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree you shall not be a castaway in the name of Christ Jesus Amen!

    YOU ARE THE WATCHMAN

    Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
    Ezekiel 3:17 [KJV]

    A watchman is a guard who keeps watch. As a believer; one who has received the kingdom in his heart, you are a watchman over the people in your world. God is holding you accountable as a son; one who is fully developed to take authority and responsibility over your world. God is saying to you today, “Son/daughter of man, I have made you a watchman unto your world”. A watchman is an intercessor who stands before God on behalf of the people and before the people on behalf of God. You are a watchman and God expects you to inform everyone in your world that doomsday is at hand. The day that God will judge the world by Christ is at hand (see Acts 17:31). But do people in your world know this? Do they know that the age is closing up? Do they know that it doesn’t matter how long or short you live on earth, one day you will open your eyes in the zones where time is no more? How can they know it if you refuse to tell them? They can not hear except their watchman takes responsibility to fulfill his/her ministry of warning them to escape the imminent danger. Beloved, you are a watchman God has placed in your sphere of contacts to warn them. Christianity is not a religion. It is a call to escape the impending doom.

    Have you thought about it that God didn’t come in Christ to establish a religion? You cannot be talking about religion when lives are at stake. God knew that the eternal destiny of man was at stake. Igbo adage says “the person whose house is on fire, does not pursue rats”. God is in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. God knows what is at stake – the soul of man perishing in hell. He did something about it. He gave Jesus Christ to be the propitiation for our sins. Now the onus is on you to tell those who haven’t heard. Tell those who are in the valley of decision. Let them decide to accept or reject the offer of salvation. You are a watchman to warn all in your sphere of contacts. Jesus says as the Father has sent Him so He has sent us (see John 20:21). Will you break the chain? Somebody probably told you and got you saved. Someone did to you what God is asking you to do to someone else.

    There is a consequence for failure. Hear what God says in Ezekiel 3:18, ‘When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.’ Can you imagine God requiring the blood of people in your world at your hand just because you failed to let them hear the gospel enough to either accept or reject it. If you are a medical doctor, you are a watchman medical doctor who God is expecting to tell all his/her patients, family, friends and colleagues that “hey, have you heard, doomsday is approaching fast, have you guaranteed your escape?” and from there you share the gospel with them. Same applies to you no matter what your career/business is. God is counting on you to be responsible. Selah!

    REMEMBER: God is expecting you to warn everyone in your world of the impending doom.

    CONFESSION: I believe that God came in the person of Christ, paid the penalty for my sins and provided eternal life for me and everyone in my sphere. I am committed to warning everyone that doomsday is at hand. So help me Lord!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I command that your heart is set on fire for the gospel today. No blood of any soul will be required at your hand for negligence in Jesus name Amen!

    THE DESTINY OF MAN AFTER THE FALL

    And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15 (KJV)

    The end point for everyone that has not done something about their soul is the lake of fire. No matter how great on earth the person is. No matter what he/she has achieved on earth. When you close your eyes in death or at the close of the age as recorded in Revelation chapter 20, you shall be cast into the lake of fire. This is not to scare you but to inform you. This is not a religious talk but the reality of the human person. Just as you cannot deny the reality of physical death, even though you do not want people to die, so also you cannot deny the reality of the lake of fire. When man fell, he was condemned with the devil because at the fall, he submitted to the devil and acquired his nature. So man was united with the devil at the fall and acquired his destiny also. The destiny of the devil is the lake of fire (see Revelation 20:10). When man submitted to the devil, his destiny also became the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15). Until each person personally does something about this destiny, nothing will be done. Until you personally respond to the Word of God and effect the change of your eternal destiny, nothing will change to that effect.

    The only instrument for man to change his eternal destiny is the gospel of Christ Jesus. When anyone obeys the gospel, amongst other things that happens to the person is the change of eternal destiny (see Colossians 1:13-14). At the instance of the gospel in anyone’s life, the person is translated from the kingdom of Satan to the Kingdom of Christ Jesus. This ensures that your name is not removed from the book of life (see Revelation 20:15). The best thing on earth today is to accept the gospel and to herald it. Every other thing will soon expire but the reward of heralding the gospel makes you a star throughout all eternity.

    Beloved, have you surrendered to Christ Jesus? Are you living your life today according to the Word of Christ Jesus? Are you preaching the gospel by your lifestyle and by words? Do you know that being a medical doctor, a lawyer, an engineer, or whatever your work is, is your secondary assignment? Do you know that that work you are dying for is only a vehicle to enable you convey the gospel to the people in your sphere of contacts? Do you understand that everyone you see today without Christ Jesus in their lives is slipping into the lake of fire? Why are you comfortable seeing your children, relations, loved ones and friends strolling into hell without doing anything? Do you know that God expect us to persuade people because we understand the danger that they are faced even though they are grossly ignorant? (see II Corinthians 5:11). God is a loving Father, but He is also a consuming fire (see Hebrews 12:29). Do you know that God will require the blood of those in your sphere of contacts that you fail to warn at your hands? (see Ezekiel 3:17-21).

    REMEMBER: Everyone without Christ is racing into the lake of fire.

    PRAYER: Beloved Heavenly Father, Thank You for doing something about my eternal destiny. Thank You for opening my eyes to see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ. I ask that you open the eyes of everyone in my sphere of contacts today to the light of the glorious gospel in Jesus name Amen!

    PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree that the fire of the gospel is ignited in your heart now. Compassion for the lost grips you sorely now in Jesus name Amen!
