EXAMPLES OF DIVINE DIRECTION

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that Yahweh led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for Yahweh said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:Exodus 13:17 (KJV)

We are going to see scriptural examples of divine direction and see what we can draw from them. When Yahweh brought Israel out of Egypt, He did not lead them through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near. So you should be wary of shortcuts; they always cut short the lives of those who take them. The destiny of Israel would have been wasted had they taken the shortcut to Canaan which was the way of the land of the Philistines. Yahweh knows that some opportunity are traps in disguise, so you must trust Yahweh that He knows what He is doing in your life. The journey may be long but it is better to finish alive than to arrive early as a corpse. Yahweh led Israel by the wilderness. Beloved, wilderness is not a palatable environment. The way Yahweh may lead you most times, may not be palatable but you can be sure that it is the way of life and peace.

In I Samuel 5:19,23, we saw David enquiring of the Lord. ‘And David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.’ (vs 19). It is only those that ask questions that are entitled to answers. In life, leave nothing to assumption. Also, Yahweh is not a one-way traffic God. The enemies came again and David had to enquire again of the Lord what to do and this time, a new strategy was given him to compass behind them (see verse 23). This is the beauty of divine direction; it gives you the strategy to win in the path to fulfilling your vision. The Holy Spirit is our greatest strategist and if we can be diligent to walk with Him, then for any confrontation, He would give us just the right strategy to win.

In John 5:30, we saw Jesus reiterating the place of divine direction in his pursuit of vision and purpose, ‘I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.’ So the success of the ministry of the Lord Yahushua was anchored on instantly obeying divine direction. You wouldn’t need to pray to be successful if what the Father wills is what you are doing. When your actions is in alignment with the Father’s will, then you are an automatic success in the race of life. You must be committed to being led by Yahweh by going to Him for direction. That is how divine direction works. At every crossroad, you must be committed to ascertaining the next step, no assumptions. Like now, you are supposed to have started asking questions of what Yahweh would have you do in 2024. Separate yourself to get to know what Yahweh is saying. Selah!

REMEMBER: Anyone that achieved anything of eternal value partnered with Yahweh.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for Your Word to me today. I ask that you open my eyes and ears to see and hear what you would have me do in 2024 in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: From today, you shall no more miss Yahweh on any issue in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

WHAT IS DIVINE DIRECTION?

So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange God with him.
Deuteronomy 32:12 (KJV)

We established that Yahweh created man and placed him in Eden. Yahweh brought us forth from the womb into this world. That Yahweh has a purpose in mind for bringing me. Having come of age, I must seek to know the purpose for my making. Purpose is the original intention for the creation of a thing. Man was made to worship and praise Yahweh; to bring pleasure to Yahweh. There is also specific purpose for each one of us. For instance, the purpose of the author is “To bring all people to maturity in their knowledge of HaMashiach, so they can begin to reign in life and ready for eternity. (see 1 Corin. 2:6-7)” When you understand your personal purpose, you seek the Lord to know the vision. Vision is the visual insight into where you are going to end up. Yahweh may show you the vision of the end of your life. From where you are to the end of the vision is where divine direction comes in. Divine Direction is the unfolding of the details of the “how” to go about achieving the vision Yahweh has given you. Divine Direction is receiving the instructions from Yahweh from time to time on the next step and moves to make in line with fulfilling your Yahweh-ordained vision.

Proverbs 16:25 says, ‘There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.’ From where you are now, what path should you take to reach where Yahweh has shown you? What must you do to ensure the fulfilment of Yahweh’s vision for your life. These details are what divine direction communicates. That it is right, does not mean you should do it. Acts 16:6-7 showed us the Holy Spirit forbidding people from preaching the Word at certain places; ‘6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, 7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.’ These were missionaries that their sole vision was to preach the Word but even though it was the right thing, they were forbidden. That is the place of divine direction.

That it is not logical, does not mean you should not do it. In Genesis 26:1-2, there was famine in Philistines unto Gerar and Isaac was living there. The logical thing is to migrate to where there was no famine Egypt. But divine direction said, ‘Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: Sojourn in this land,’ (vs 2-3). When he obeyed, even in the midst of famine, this became his testimony, ‘12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. 13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:’ Beloved, circumstance should not determine your action. What Yahweh is saying should determine your next step. Selah!

REMEMBER: Divine Direction is the step by step action details by Yahweh towards your vision fulfilment.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. I ask for the details of the next move I should make towards the vision you have put in my heart in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree the your eyes and ears open now to receive that instruction that will make you the envy of your world in Yahushua’s name Amen!

WE SERVE A SPEAKING GOD

I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
Isaiah 45:19 [KJV]

We serve a speaking Yahweh. Yahweh said in Number 12:8 concerning Moses, ‘With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold:’ This Month you must be convinced beyond a shadow of doubt that the Yahweh that you serve speaks. Moses went to the mountain for 40 days fellowshipping with Yahweh and Yahweh was giving us hint of their communication when He said that He spoke with Moses mouth to mouth. I want you to crave that order of communion with your heavenly Father. If it happened to Moses, then it can and should happen to you. Yahweh Speaks and He desires to speak with you mouth to mouth. Whatever is written is written for our admonition (see I Corinthians 10:11). In this month, we are going to learn how Yahweh speaks to us and how He told us to seek His direction.

Yahweh is a spirit and He speaks in the spirit (see John 4:23-24). This is how the prophets heard Yahweh. As the Holy Spirit of Yahweh moved, these men and women heard Yahweh in the spirit and spoke out what they heard (see II Peter 1:21). In the course of the month, we shall see that the voice of Yahweh which is heard in the spirit can seem so audible and loud to you that you would think that people around heard it. It happened to Saul on the road to Damascus. Acts 22:7 says, ‘And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.’ The voice that spoke to Saul of Tarsus was so loud and audible to him but to his amazement, those folks with him heard nothing. When Yahweh speaks, He speaks in the spirit which if He opens your spiritual ears to hear that voice, would be so audible to you that you would think that folks close to you heard it.

Even though Yahweh speaks, we are not to seek to hear the voice of Yahweh because it could expose the untrained to the voices in the spiritual realms that are not of Yahweh. We are going to see that the primary way Yahweh leads us is through the inward witness and that is what as a Christian you should seek to receive concerning any matter you are looking up to Yahweh for direction. Then as you train your human spirit in the Word, you would be able to decipher between the voice of the Holy Spirit and the voice of either your flesh or the devil. There are voices in the spiritual realm, don’t seek voices, it could lead you to being accommodated by Satan’s deception. Remember, Satan has no power but the power of deception. Satan can speak to you in your spirit and you would think it is Yahweh and because you really heard it, you may not be easily persuaded that it is not of Yahweh. So caution, don’t seek voices. Seek to receive a witness in your spirit in line with the Word of Yahweh. Shalom!

REMEMBER: We serve a Yahweh that speaks.

CONFESSION: This month of December shall favour me in all areas. I shall be trained to hear and recognize the voice of Yahweh. I believe that my Yahweh speaks and that He wants to speak to me. My ears opens to hear Him now! Halleluyah!!!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: The Lord shall crown this end for you with His goodness. May He give you an encounter with His voice in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

WHAT IS YAHWEH SAYING FOR DECEMBER 2023?

Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy Yahweh which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
Isaiah 48:17 [KJV]

Welcome to the crowning month of 2023. Welcome to December. We trust Yahweh you enjoyed yourself in the month of November with that prophetic word: “The Outpouring Of The Spirit Guarantees Turnarounds In The Dependable Yahweh.” How often we come to seasons that look like wilderness experience maybe by the wickedness of the wicked and then the ground of our lives becomes hard and things refuse to respond. Glory to the Father that in seasons like that we are not left at the mercy of the wicked. We have an awesome person that is resident in us at salvation that has a ministry to you the believer but we often ignore, neglect Him or outrightly live in contradiction to His will making us prey to the wicked. The truth is that if you stay connected to Him, you may never experience the wickedness of the wicked because He is always on time to lift up the standard against the floods of evil that maybe engineered against you (see Isaiah 59:19). More so, you can make demands for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon your life which brings you into seasons of breakthrough and testimony from one level of glory to the next. We hope, you have been empowered with the revelation that will ensure that you are always changing from one level of His glory to the next. Put it to work please.

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof (see Ecclesiastes 7:8). We are grateful to the Lord for bringing us into the very month that ends the year. What then is the Lord saying to the King Priest Family Worldwide in the month of December 2023? We serve a Yahweh that speaks. From the time that Yahweh created man, He comes down to fellowship with Adam (see Genesis 3:8). Because Adam was not the person that created Eden, he needed direction and instruction on how to navigate his way around which Yahweh availed him. So we saw Yahweh came down and communed with Adam instructing him about the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil (see Genesis 2:15-17). In the same vein, none of us created this world but Yahweh has brought us forth into this world, it would take his compass and instruction to get to where He has destined for us; without which we shall lose our way and become accidents in the sands of time. You are going somewhere, the only challenge is that you don’t even know where this future is but Yahweh knows (see Jeremiah 29:11).

Our prophetic focus for the Month of December 2023 therefore, is ‘I AM THE DEPENDABLE YAHWEH, I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE GOING, FOLLOW MY LEADING’ (see Isaiah 48:17). In this crowning month, Yahweh shall be unveiling the mystery of divine direction to us preparing us not just to take adequate stock on how we have fared in the journey of 2023 but also to enable us set ourselves for the coming year. It shall be our month of inquiry into purpose, waiting on the Lord to know the phase of our assignment and the next turn. We shall explore dimensions in divine direction, from seeing the value of instruction, to checking if we are on the pedestal where we can be led, to finding how exactly how Yahweh leads, to understanding how to access His voice, to a great insight on how to develop our human spirit to recognize the leading of Yahweh, to exploring the profits of being led by Yahweh. It is going to be a crowning month indeed where goodness and mercy shall ice your life this year and usher you into a new year with clarity and direction. One of the great things Yahweh will be doing in your life is repositioning you for the year 2024. You are going to receive instruction on what to do, where to go, what to concentrate your energy on, what to drop, who to disconnect from, who to connect with, and a whole lot of details that will set your sail for 2024 in grand style. Get set to dive into the secret place of Yahweh. Shalom!

THANKSGIVING: Dear Father, thank You for the privilege of life, of seeing a new month. Thank You for sending Yahushua HaMashiach to pay the prize for my sins and for the privilege of your presence in my life. Thank You for giving me the blessed Holy Spirit who now lives in me. Thank You for all you did for us in the month of November. I am set for this last month, for the crowning dimension of miracles, for all you desire to do in me and for me. Thank You in advance for a successful December 2023 in all ramifications in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree that this month of December shall not see your end but you will see its end. I decree no evil news shall be heard in your life, family and job/business. This month, the heavens open over you and your family for a turnaround your world cannot deny. This month, every agenda of evil against you is shattered now. You shall only walk in success, increase, favour, supernatural possibilities and triumphs on every side you turn. No human shall be able to stand against you and your progress all the days of this month. Testimonies shall be your daily bread this month and celebration unending shall be in your house. Get ready because as the year is ending, your destiny shall be opening up to new dimensions of glory in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen. Merry Christmas in advance!

THANKFUL FOR NOVEMBER 2023

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Colossians 3:17 (KJV)

We are grateful to the Lord for bringing us to the last day of this great month. It has indeed been an eventful one of torrential order of the Word on this platform. We return all the glory to the Lord Yahushua. Being the last day of the month, it is a day of thanksgiving for us at #WordForTodayDevotional. Today we recount all the Lord has done for us and we overflow with thanksgiving. We also reflect on how thanksgiving enhances our operation in the supernatural. Thanksgiving is like a signature in the supernatural. Our opening texts admonishes us that whatsoever you do in word or deed, you must punctuate it with thanksgiving to the Father in the name of the Lord Yahushua. This sounds simple but that is actually why many are cut off from the supernatural manifestation. When it come to prayer and operating in the supernatural, thanksgiving is an inevitable practice. It is an inescapable protocol of this kingdom. In the first place, access to the throne room is only by thanksgiving. Psalms 100:4 says, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” Without thanksgiving, you are not even admitted into the courts of the Father. How can you operate in the supernatural if you are an outsider or operating from the outside.

Another thought is, whatever you received from the Lord is only sustained by thanksgiving. Then, you cannot be thankful, if you are not joyful. You cannot be thoughtful and not be joyful. You cannot be joyful and not be grateful. You cannot be grateful and not be thankful. If you cannot think, you cannot thank. The Lord has done so much but until you can sit down and think, you cannot be full of thanks. Deuteronomy 28:47-48 says, “47 Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; 48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.” If you don’t rejoice in the Lord for His mercies, you cannot be thankful. If you are not joyful, you provoke the Lord to destroy even the blessing He has already given you. So your blessing is only sustained in thanksgiving.

The Lord actually cursed the blessing in the lives of the priest because they failed to return with thanksgiving. Malachi 2:1-2 says, “1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. 2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.” Beloved, thanksgiving is your way to the blessings of the supernatural and the only way to sustain them. Shalom!

REMEMBER: Thanksgiving is your way to step into the supernatural and remain there.

THANKSGIVING: Dear Father, we are not worthy of the least of Your mercies. What shall we say for bringing us to the end of this great month, no loss, no tears, we saw goodness and mercies, abundance of blessings in front and at the back. Thank You for the salvation of my soul. Thank You for the continuous flow of Your Word on this platform. Thank You for Your preservation, provision and supplies. Thank You for opening my eyes to the reality of the supernatural this month. To You alone be all the glory in the Name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: As this month ends today, I decree that there shall be no carry-over of November’s blessings. I decree that within the remaining hours that you enter practically into all that the Lord has released for you this month. As the month begins to close, I decree that your intimacy with the Holy Spirit enters into new dimensions leading to the harvest of increase, abundance, advantage of the Holy Spirit, favour and glory from now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

SUPERNATURAL GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT (9): THE INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES

I Corinthians 12:10 (KJV)

The interpretation of tongues is the supernatural showing forth by the Spirit the meaning of an utterance in other tongues. Also, it is not translation of tongues; it is the interpretation of tongues. The gift of interpretation of tongues is the least gift of all of the gifts of the Spirit because it depends upon another gift — divers kinds of tongues — in order to operate. It does not operate unless tongues have been in operation. The purpose of the gift of interpretation of tongues is to render the gift of tongues understandable to the hearers so that the whole church congregation, as well as the one who gave the utterance in an unknown tongue, may know what has been said and may be edified thereby. Paul said, “. . . greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, THAT THE CHURCH MAY RECEIVE EDIFYING” (1 Cor. 14:5). But can’t Yahweh speak to us in some other way in the public assembly? Yes, He can and does. We have other public messages given by the Spirit of Yahweh that are not interpretation of tongues; they are a manifestation of the gift of prophecy. For example, psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs are also given by the Holy Spirit through the gift of prophecy.

In private prayer it is not necessary that everything we utter in other tongues be clear to our understanding, because Paul said, “For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful” (1 Cor. 14:14). Therefore, it isn’t necessary that everything I pray in tongues be clear to my understanding or be interpreted because I am not talking to myself, I am talking to Yahweh. What I pray in tongues is clear to Yahweh and that is sufficient: “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, BUT UNTO GOD: for no man understandeth him; how-beit in the spirit HE SPEAKETH MYSTERIES” (1Cor. 14:2). Yet on some occasions Yahweh may desire that we interpret our prayers. Paul suggests this in First Corinthians 14:13: “Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.” There may be times, if it is as the Spirit of Yahweh wills, that we know what we are praying about in tongues in our personal devotions, and Yahweh will give us the interpretation.

1 CORINTHIANS 14:27 says, ‘If any man speak in an unknown tongue, LET IT BE BY TWO, OR AT THE MOST BY THREE, and that by course; and LET ONE INTERPRET’. In ministering publicly in tongues in any one service, Paul is saying here that it should be done by two or at the most by three people. In other words, only two or three people at the most should participate. Selah!

REMEMBER: The gift of interpretation of tongues is supernatural interpretation of what was spoken in the manifestation of the diverse kinds of tongues.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your word to me today. I desire to function in the gifts of the Spirit according to Your Will. I ask that You help me to always maintain connection with Your Spirit, so I can be in the position to receive anytime according to His will in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: As this month is ending tomorrow your supernatural status just escalates to higher dimensions. No carry-over of November blessings in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

SUPERNATURAL GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT (8): DIVERSE KINDS OF TONGUES

… to another divers kinds of tongues? …
I Corinthians 12:10 (KJV)

The word “divers” in First Corinthians 12:10 is italicized, which means that it was added by the translator. Actually, this verse reads, “… to another, kinds of tongues. . . .” However, in another scripture, Paul said that God set in the Church diversities of tongues (1 Cor. 12:28); therefore, we would not be out of line scripturally to say “divers” kinds of tongues, or different kinds of tongues. This utterance gift of tongues is an important gift in that tongues is the door into the supernatural. This doesn’t necessarily mean the gift of tongues is the best gift, for as we indicated previously, the best gift is the gift needed at the moment. The Gift of Tongues Is a Supernatural Sign. Divers kinds of tongues is supernatural utterance by the Holy Spirit in languages never learned by the speaker, nor understood by the speaker, nor necessarily always understood by the hearer. Speaking with tongues has nothing whatsoever to do with linguistic ability; it has nothing to do with the mind or the intellect of man. It is a vocal miracle of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, one reason we speak in tongues is that the Lord Yahushua said this is one sign which should follow believers. Also, tongues is the scriptural, initial evidence also of the baptism in the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:4). It is important to understand that the gift of tongues is unique to the dispensation of the Church Age.

Every spirit-filled believer speaks in tongues. In addition to praying in tongues in one’s individual prayer life, it is also true that there is a public side to speaking in tongues. Paul said that not everyone would be used in what we call the public ministry of tongues, for he said in First Corinthians 12:30, “… do all speak with tongues? …” The obvious answer is no because in this verse Paul is talking about the public ministry of diversities of tongues which is a ministry gift denoting more the prophetic office, not the devotional gift of tongues. Some take First Corinthians 12:30 out of its context and conclude that Paul was saying, “Speaking in tongues isn’t for everyone. Therefore, you can be filled with the Spirit without speaking with tongues.” However, again, we must remember that here Paul is talking about the ministry gift of tongues, for he began by saying, “AND GOD HATH SET SOME IN THE CHURCH, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, DIVERSITIES OF TONGUES” (1 Cor. 12:28). Ministry gifts or offices are “set” in the Church by Yahweh; they are people called to the fivefold ministry. Then he asked the question in First Corinthians 12:29 and 30, “Are all apostles? . . .” No, all are not apostles: Let’s look a little further in verse 30: “. . . do all speak with tongues? . . .” The obvious answer is no. Paul was talking here about fivefold ministry gifts, just as he was talking about fivefold ministry gifts when he asked, “Are all apostles? . . .” (v. 29), and so forth.

REMEMBER: The gift of diverse kinds of tonguing is a supernatural utterance in tongues not learned by the speaker.

CONFESSION: My prayer is enriched by the gift of tongues. It deepens my relationship with the Spirit and opens the door of the supernatural for me. Thank You Lord for this gift in my life. Halleluyah!

SUPERNATURAL GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT (7): PROPHECY

Prophecy is supernatural utterance in a known tongue. The Hebrew meaning of the phrase, “to prophesy” is to flow forth. It also carries with it the thought: to bubble forth like a fountain, to let drop, to lift up, to tumble forth, and to spring forth. The Greek word that is translated “prophesy” means to speak for another. So “prophesy” can mean to speak for Yahweh or to be His spokesman. In First Corinthians 14:1 we read: “Follow after charity [love], and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may PROPHESY.” We are told to desire spiritual gifts, but especially that we might prophesy. That doesn’t mean we are not to desire the other gifts, but we are to especially desire to prophesy. Again, at the end of First Corinthians chapter 14, Paul repeated, “Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy …” (1 Cor. 14:39). Paul was writing by the inspiration of Yahweh. We could say it this way: Yahweh through Paul spoke to the Church at Corinth (and it applies to the Church everywhere) to desire spiritual gifts, but rather that we may prophesy (1 Cor. 14:1,39).

There is Foretelling and there is Forth Telling. The simple gift of prophecy should not be confused with the prophetic office or with prophetic utterance that may come forth in the prophet’s ministry. Paul said, “But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to EDIFICATION, and EXHORTATION, and COMFORT” (1 Cor. 14:3). Thus, we can readily see that in the simple gift of prophecy there is no revelation. The simple gift of prophecy is given for edification, exhortation, and comfort. In the office of the prophet, however we very often find that revelation or foretelling does come forth, even through the vehicle of prophecy. It is also interesting to note the difference between prophecy in the Old Testament and prophecy in the New Testament. In the Old Testament prophecy was essentially foretelling, but in the New Testament we see that the gift of prophecy shifts strongly to forth telling. Prophesying Is More Than Preaching. Some people think that “to prophesy” means to preach. All inspired utterance is prophecy in some form or another, but the spiritual gift of prophecy isn’t preaching. Sometimes there is an element of prophecy in preaching when a person is anointed by the Spirit and is inspired to say things spontaneously that come from his spirit rather than his head. But that is only one phase of the operation of the gift of prophecy.

The utterance gifts are liable to abuse and misuse more than the other gifts of the Spirit. That is why there is need to sound a note of caution. You must not prophesy. If you have to prophesy make sure that it is not from self. I Corinthians 14:32 says, ‘And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.’ The manifestation of the gift of prophecy is as the Spirit wills, not as you will. Don’t open up to unclean spirits just because you want to prophesy. Caution!

SUPERNATURAL GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT (6): THE WORKING OF MIRACLES

To another the working of miracles? …

The Working of Miracles can be defined as the supernatural intervention of Yahweh in the ordinary course of nature. A miracle is a supernatural act on a natural plane. When the working of miracles is in manifestation, there is a divine intervention in the ordinary course of nature. For example, the dividing of a stream by the sweep of a mantle is an example of the working of miracles in operation (see 2 Kings 2:14). After Elijah ascended to heaven in a chariot in the whirlwind, Elisha received his mantle and smote the Jordan River. Dividing the waters by a sweep of his mantle was the working of miracles because that was a supernatural intervention in the ordinary course of nature. In the area of healing, many times miracles are received, but this is not necessarily the working of miracles; they are simply called healing miracles. Everything that Yahweh does is miraculous in a sense, but receiving healing by supernatural means is not a miracle in the same sense that turning common dust into insects just by a gesture is a miracle (see Exodus. 8:16), or turning common water into wine just by speaking a word is a miracle (see John 2:7-11). Those two occurrences are examples of the working of miracles.

Water turned into wine by the ageing process, or the process of nature, is a natural phenomenon. But water turned into wine just by speaking a word, as Jesus did (John 2:1-11), is a miracle according to our definition — a supernatural intervention in the ordinary course of nature. A miracle, therefore, is a supernatural intervention in the ordinary course of nature, a temporary suspension of the accustomed order, or an interruption in the system of nature as we know it, operated by the power of the Holy Spirit. The working of miracles is used to display God’s power and magnificence. In Young’s Analytical Concordance to the Bible, the Greek word for “miracles” in First Corinthians 12:10 is “dunamis,” and can also be translated acts of powers. In other words, the working of miracles could also be called the working of acts of powers. According to the Greek concordance, the Greek word also means, explosions of almightiness or impelling, staggering wonders or astonishments. In other words, the Greek could read, “To another the working of impelling, staggering wonders or astonishments, or the outworkings of explosions of almightiness and acts of powers.”

The Working of Miracles is the mighty power of Yahweh flowing through a person. Oh how I desire that everyone of us will position in intimacy with the Holy Spirit and have this power flow through us. How much our world is in need of the manifestation of this power. Romans 8:19 says “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” They are waiting for the manifestation of the power of Yahweh. Can we yearn for the manifestation of this power?

REMEMBER: The working of miracles is the manifestation of the almightiness of Yahweh intervening in the ordinary course of nature.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your word to me today. I desire to function in the gifts of the Spirit according to Your Will. I ask that You help me to always maintain connection with Your Spirit, so I can be in the position to receive anytime according to His will in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I release that power over your life today. Receive divine intervention in that situation now in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

SUPERNATURAL GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT (5): THE GIFTS OF HEALING

… to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit?

The gifts of healing are manifested for the supernatural healing of sickness and disease without any natural source or means. As I’ve mentioned, every one of these nine gifts of the Spirit are supernatural. The gifts of healing have nothing to do with medical science or human learning. Doctors and medical science are natural means of healing. The gifts of healing and the other methods of divine healing are supernatural. The healing that is supernatural doesn’t come by diagnosis or by prescribing treatment. Divine healing comes by laying on of hands, anointing with oil, or sometimes just by speaking the Word, just to name a few examples from the Word of how healing is ministered. I believe in natural healing and I thank Yahweh for it. I think one of the greatest areas in medical science, and one in which the greatest strides have been made, is in the field of preventive medicine. But not only do I believe in natural healing, I also believe in supernatural, or divine healing.

You can receive healing by standing on the Word of Yahweh. There is a difference between receiving healing through the manifestation of the gifts of healing and just simply receiving healing by our own faith in the Word. Both are scriptural ways to receive healing. One can stand on the Word of Yahweh and be healed on their own. However, gifts of healing are manifested through another person to you. The difference is the channel through which they are manifested. The gifts of healing is a ministry gift to the body of HaMashiach. Not all have this ministry. I Corinthians 12:28-30 says, ‘28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? 30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?’ The obvious answer to that question is no. All are not apostles. All do not have gifts of healing. These spiritual gifts are given as the Spirit wills. It is not an achievement but an engracement. Intimate walk with the Holy Spirit places you at a better position to have these gifts manifested through you.

When in need of healing, you can just believe the Word of Yahweh and act on the Word and you will be healed because it is the anointing that breaks the yoke (see Isaiah 10:27) and the anointing is on the Word. This is also the reason why every believer must belong to a local Church. In the local Church, there must be somebody that the Holy Spirit uses to minister that gifts of healing, so you can have the person lay hands on you when challenged with sickness and be healed. But you know you cannot be sick dwelling in Zion (see Isaiah 33:24; Hebrews 12:22). Selah!

REMEMBER: The gifts of healing are supernatural method the Spirit brings healing to His people.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your word to me today. I desire to function in the gifts of the Spirit according to Your Will. I ask that You help me to always maintain connection with Your Spirit, so I can be in the position to receive anytime according to His will in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!

PROPHETIC RELEASE: I stand on the Word and I command that spirit of infirmity ravaging your body to expire now by fire in the name of Yahushua HaMashiach Amen! BE HEALED!
